Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy

Chapter 59 "The Malfoy Family, a Secret History"

Chapter 59 "The Malfoy Family, a Secret History" (Seeking Follow-up Reading)
Hermione's family is a dentist. Although they are not poor, they are at least wealthy.

There is a saying that goes, "Gold teeth and silver eyes."

Dentistry is a profession that pays quite well, especially for outstanding dentists like the Grangers, who are always busy with their practice.

A Bentley like this one is equivalent to Mr. Granger's half-year income.

For some reason, Mr. Granger had a good chat with Ron and was particularly interested in Ron's father's flying car.

In the eyes of this Muggle gentleman, even a hundred Bentleys are not as valuable as a flying car.

This is really coooool.

Along the way, Mr. Granger kept asking Ron about the flying car, and even asked Ron to ask Mr. Weasley during the summer vacation if he could visit their home and see the flying car.

Ron naturally agreed readily. Even though it was their first meeting, he really liked Mr. Granger.

While they were still on the road, Draco had already returned home.

Draco looked very unhappy when he stepped into the house.

"Little Dragon?" his mother Narcissa asked with concern, "What's wrong with you? You have been in a bad mood all the way. Are you unhappy at school?"

Draco shook his head thoughtfully, his face showing "I have something on my mind".

"Let's eat first." Narcissa saw that her son was unwilling to speak, so she said gently: "Mom asked Dobby to make you your favorite beef stew in red wine."

"Okay mom." Draco smiled at his mother and followed him into the restaurant.

Narcissa moved to sit to the right of Draco's father, Lucius, and Draco sat opposite his mother.

"Oh, Draco." Lucius was reading the Daily Prophet. "Congratulations on being sorted into Slytherin."

"You have already congratulated me in your letter, father."

Draco glanced at his father hiding behind the Daily Prophet and suddenly became bolder for no reason.

"You lied to me. The branch doesn't need to fight werewolves..."

He didn't know if it was an illusion, but as soon as he said this, Draco seemed to hear his parents say "te" in unison.

It's a very faint sound, and you can't hear it if you don't listen carefully.

Did he almost laugh out loud?

Impossible, absolutely impossible!
"All right, little dragon," Narcissa said, "eat quickly. Your father has been waiting for you for a long time."

Draco always felt that his mother was holding back her laughter, but he had no evidence.

He could only say "oh" and eat the dishes on the table that he liked very much with tasteless taste.

After finally finishing the meal, when Dobby and the other house-elves brought the tea, Draco held the teacup and seemed to want to say something but stopped himself several times.

"Xiaolong, if you have anything, just tell your father." Narcissa said to her son gently, and gave her husband a warning look. Lucius had no choice but to put down the newspaper.

"It's like this, father." Draco organized his words and then said, "I heard some bad rumors at school..."

Bad rumors?
Lucius's eyes were a little sharp, and he and Narcissa looked at each other. Could it be that some rumors in the school had reached Xiaolong's ears?
Or is it that someone is using his past as a Death Eater to take advantage of Xiao Long?
"What's the rumor?" Lucius asked.

"Yes, it's about the ancestors." Draco said carefully, "I want to ask you, is there an ancestor in our family who was once friends with a Weasley, and they fought side by side to suppress the goblin rebellion and eliminate the Ash Snake Party? I heard... her name is... Cassandra..."

Unexpectedly, after hearing this name, Lucius's face changed drastically.

"Who told you this name?" he asked sharply.

"It's a classmate." Draco swallowed his saliva, "A friend of Harry Potter."

“Shut up!” Lucius grabbed the snake-head staff and slammed it down hard: “How dare you…how dare you mention that person’s name!”

Draco was startled; he didn't expect his father's reaction to be so big.

Harry Potter?

Why can't this name be mentioned?

Saint Breaker!

"He, he is my classmate." Draco whispered.

Lucius's expression froze for a moment, then he breathed a sigh of relief, rubbed the silver snake head of the staff with his right thumb, and said to Draco, "So you were talking about Harry Potter, I thought it was Ha...that gentleman."

"That gentleman?" Draco asked in confusion, "Is there another Harry Potter before?"

"Yes, yes." Lucius put down the snake-head staff, his voice a little dry.

He picked up the teacup on the table, drank a little messily but elegantly to moisten his throat, and then continued: "As you guessed, there was indeed a Harry Potter back then. Did you know that the title of 'Your Secret Man' was not originally used to refer to the Dark Lord, but to this person."

"Is he more terrifying than the Dark Lord?" Draco leaned back tactically, in awe.

"Well... the secrets have been covered up too much by goblins, but as you know, there was indeed a 'Cassandra Malfoy' in our family. She was the aunt of your grandfather Abraxas. According to seniority, she should be my great aunt, your great aunt."

Lucius did not hide it from his son. After all, the head of the Malfoy family in the future could only be Draco, and it would make no difference whether he told him earlier or later.

"In fact, I shouldn't tell you now, but since you already know it, it's okay to tell you - she followed that man back then, and together with him and his friends, they thwarted the goblin rebellion and suppressed the Fire Ash Snake Party with thunderous means - but that gentleman, when he finally faced the goblin leader Lanlock, he died together with him, and no one knows their whereabouts."

"So... he just died like that?" Draco asked.

"Some people think he's dead, while others think he's not." Lucius said with some regret, "Your great-aunt Cassandra was a witch with extraordinary talent. I heard from your great-grandfather that when she was your age, she could successfully cast Armor Protection."

"Then why have I never heard of this name?" Draco asked in confusion, "Logically, it should be considered an honor for the Malfoy family to have such an outstanding witch. Why have I never heard anyone talk about her, neither Grandpa nor you?"
