Harry returns from Hogwarts Legacy

Chapter 91 Avada Kedavra!

Chapter 91 Avada Kedavra!
"Excellent." Ron gave a thumbs up.

Harry walked forward, inserted the key into the keyhole and turned it, and the door lock clicked.

I pushed open the door and the next room was pitch black, I couldn't see anything.

But as soon as they stepped inside, the room suddenly lit up, illuminating a shocking scene.

They were standing next to a huge chessboard with black chess pieces in front of them. The pieces were taller than them and seemed to be carved out of black stone or something.

At the other end of the room, facing them, were some white chess pieces.

The towering white pieces looked horrible with their featureless faces, and Neville groaned and grabbed Seamus' arm.

"If you push harder, my arm will break, Neville," Seamus said sarcastically.

He was actually quite scared just now, but after being grabbed by Neville... he was no longer afraid.

"What now?" Hermione asked.

Ron raised his head and looked at the chess pieces with a serious expression.

"Apparently, we need to play chess to get to the next room."

"Maybe there is another way?" Seamus was eager to try, and took out his wand and pointed it at the king among the white chess pieces: "Confringo!"

The chess piece shattered, and just as Simo showed a smug smile, the fragments of the chess piece shook rapidly on the ground, and soon, they re-formed into a king chess piece.

"It seems that taking shortcuts won't work," Hermione whispered.

"The way I see it," said Ron, "we have to act as pawns."

He walked up to a black knight and reached out to touch the knight's horse.

Immediately, the stone came alive, the horse pawed the earth with its hooves, and the knight turned his helmeted head to look at Ron.

"Do we... um, have to join you to win?" Ron asked.

The Black Knight nodded.

Ron turned to Harry and Hermione and said, "We need to think about this... I'm afraid we'll have to replace the five black pieces here..."

No one else said anything, just watching Ron thinking.

After all, Ron is a master of wizard chess, and only he can win this game.

After careful consideration, Ron said, "That's right. Don't be angry and blame me for being rude. But to be honest, none of you are very good at chess—"

"We're not mad," Seamus said quickly. "Tell us what to do."

"Okay, Harry, you take the bishop's place; Hermione, you stand next to him, taking the place of the castle." Ron continued to direct, "Neville, you go to the other side, taking the place of the bishop on the other side; Seamus, you stand next to Neville, taking the place of the castle."

"What about you?" Hermione asked loudly.

"Me?" Ron took a deep breath, his eyes firm: "I will be a knight."

The chess pieces seemed to be listening to them. As soon as Ron finished speaking, a knight, two bishops and two castles turned around, turned their backs to the white chess pieces, and walked out of the chessboard, leaving five empty seats for the five people.

"It's the custom of wizard chess," Ron took a deep breath, "White moves first—"

As soon as he finished speaking, a white pawn on the white chess side took a step forward.

"Harry, move four spaces to the right!" Ron ordered loudly.

Harry followed Ron's instructions and moved forward four spaces.

Then it was the white chess' turn. The white queen stepped forward and fiercely knocked the other black knight to the ground with the iron hammer in her hand, and threw him out of the chessboard.

"I...I'm a little..." Seamus swallowed, "Ron, please don't send your buddies to get beaten..."

"Go ahead, Neville." Ron showed no emotion as he directed Neville forward, "Go and kill the other side's bishop!"

"Me?" Neville shuddered. "I play against the white bishop?"

However, he still obediently took out his wand and killed the white chess bishop with a disarming spell.

Soon, a pile of lifeless black chess pieces were lying all over the wall.

On two occasions, thanks to Ron's timely discovery that Seamus and Neville were in danger, he found a way to rescue them.

Ron himself charged across the board, capturing nearly as many White pieces as they lost Black pieces.

"Let me think, let me think..."

Ron sat on the black warhorse, his face troubled for a long time.

Just then the White Queen turned her featureless face towards Ron.

"I need someone." Ron swallowed, "Someone who is willing to be eaten with me—"

"What will be the consequences?" Seamus swallowed. Ron said nothing, but glanced at the scattered bodies of the black chess pieces lying on the ground outside the field.

"No!" Hermione shouted. "You'll die! Ronald!"

"Do you really want to stop the mysterious man?" Ron yelled back, saying sternly: "This is a game of chess! There are always sacrifices to be made! Someone has to sacrifice, why can't it be me! I was prepared for this before I came here!"

"But..." Hermione wanted to argue.

"Hurry up! Don't waste time!" Ron said in an almost commanding tone, "If you delay any longer, the mysterious man will get the thing!"

"Let me do it!" Seamus stepped forward: "It can't be Harry, he is the only one here who is the destined opponent of the You-Know-Who... Ron, I hope my sacrifice will not be in vain."

Harry clenched his fists tightly. He knew that these companions in front of him were only inferior to his old friends in the Order of the Phoenix in terms of spell level, but in terms of will, they were definitely not inferior to anyone.

"Are you ready?" Ron took a deep breath. His face was pale, but he was extremely determined. "I'll go first, then Seamus will go to A1, Harry - you will be responsible for the Deathly King..."

"Yeah!" Harry nodded heavily.

Ron took a step forward, and the White Queen immediately rushed over. She raised her stone arm and hit Ron hard on the head. Ron fell to the ground and was dragged out of the field by the White Queen and thrown out.

Hermione let out a scream, but she didn't move from the grid where she belonged.

"I'm on it too."

Seamus glanced at Harry and Hermione and trudged over to A1.

"Check! (Check)"

The White Queen, who was originally standing between Harry and the White King, slowly turned around and walked to Seamus' side.

"Tell Mom I love her."

Simo only left these words before he was knocked unconscious by a punch from the White Queen and thrown out of the venue.

"Seamus!" Neville called out.

"Don't move!"

Harry shouted, pointing at Neville, who walked up to the White King and looked up.

"Check mate!"

The White King removed the crown from his head and threw it at Harry's feet.

As the White King moved, the White pieces bowed and stepped back, making way.

"Hermione, Neville." Harry said to Hermione and Neville, "You two... take care of them and go back to the door with the key. I remember there are several brooms. Go back quickly and send them to the school hospital. I can only rely on myself for the road ahead."

"Harry..." Hermione covered her mouth and whispered, "You must be careful!"

"Don't worry." Harry nodded to Hermione and patted Neville on the shoulder: "Neville, take good care of Hermione. You are a man, stand up straight!"

"Okay!" Neville nodded heavily.

Harry watched them go, then turned and continued walking forward.

In the previous level, there was a troll that was knocked unconscious - if nothing unexpected happened, it was definitely done by Quirrell or Voldemort.

After the troll, there are some potion levels, which seem to be set up by Professor Snape.

Harry took a moment to judge, then grabbed the smallest bottle and drank it all.

Then he passed through the dancing black flames and entered the next room.

Sure enough, there was already a person standing in the next room.

This man was, as Harry had judged, Professor Quirrell, and behind him was the Mirror of Erised.

Seeing Harry enter the room, a sinister smile appeared on Professor Quirrell's face.

"Harry Bo..."

Before he could finish his words, he saw Harry draw his wand and point it at him.

A green light shot out from Harry's wand, carrying the breath of death, and attacked Quirrell.

"Avada Kedavra!"
