Chapter 516 Advice and Support

Chapter 516 Advice and Support (2nd Update)
Shiraishi E rushed out of the broadcasting room, quickly crossed the corridor, and pulled out her phone to dial Kogoro Mouri's number.

After the call connected, Kogoro Mouri's voice came through the receiver, accompanied by a noisy and chaotic background, clearly indicating that the banquet hall was in complete disarray.

"Hey? Shiraishi kid? What's up?"

Shiraishi lowered her voice and spoke rapidly: "Mouri, where are you now?"

Kogoro Mouri, panting, replied, "We're still in the banquet hall! We're just about to take Mio down the elevator!"

Shiraishi E frowned and immediately said, "What are we waiting in line for? Hurry up and take her to the rooftop, let's take the helicopter!"

Kogoro Mouri was taken aback, then gave a wry smile: "You're putting me in a difficult position. Where am I supposed to arrange a helicopter for them?"

Shiraishi E almost rolled her eyes: "Who told you to make these arrangements? This building is full of rich people, let them call their own helicopters!"

Kogoro Mouri then realized what he'd done and slapped his forehead: "Oh! That's right! You're quick-witted!"

Shiraishi E didn't have time to listen to his lament, and added, "By the way, don't rush off yet. See how many people are going upstairs. If a bunch of people are pushing their way up, don't be stupid and rush after them. Just take the elevator down!"

Kogoro Mouri's eyes lit up, and he chuckled, "You little rascal...you're really full of mischief! Okay, I got it!"

After saying that, he hung up the phone and turned to look at the panicked crowd in the banquet hall. With Shiraishi E's advice, he felt quite calm!
He took a deep breath, jumped onto a table, and shouted, "Everyone! Quiet! Listen to me!!"

The chaotic crowd quieted down slightly and all turned to look at him.

With an air of authority, Kogoro Mouri loudly announced, "Everyone, stop crowding the elevator! We're going to be late!"

"Run to the rooftop right now! There's a helicopter landing pad there!"

"If you have a helicopter, contact a pilot immediately to come and pick them up!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the whole place was in an uproar.

"Yes! We can take a helicopter!"

"Quick! Call a helicopter!"

"Don't block my way! Let me go first!"

"........."

The crowd that had been crammed at the elevator entrance instantly turned around and rushed towards the stairwell, many pulling out their phones and frantically dialing numbers as they ran.
"Hey! It's me! Get the helicopter to the top of the Twin Towers immediately! Now! Right now!"

"No matter the cost! Arrange a plane to come immediately!"

"........."

The scene was extremely chaotic at one point, with some people even pushing and shoving each other to grab the stairs.

Kogoro Mouri stood on the table, watching the crowd surge forward. He glanced at the elevator, where the crowd had thinned out considerably.

He nodded in satisfaction, then jumped down, walked to Tokiwa Mio's side, and whispered, "Mio, let's go! Let's take the elevator!"

Mio Tokiwa hadn't quite grasped the situation yet: "Huh? Didn't we say we were going to the rooftop?"

Kogoro Mouri chuckled: "The stairs are packed right now, let's just take the elevator down!"

Tokiwa Mio paused for a moment, then suddenly realized what she meant and couldn't help but chuckle, "Mouri-senpai, you're really cunning... clever!!"

Kogoro Mouri winked smugly: "That's called a tactical retreat!"

The two quickly walked towards the elevator, where there were no longer many people.

They didn't wait in line for long before it was their turn.

Kogoro Mouri leaned against the elevator wall, leisurely adjusting his tie, and sighed, "Ah, sometimes too many smart people can actually cause trouble."

Tokiwa Mio looked at him, a smile in her eyes: "So, you deliberately made them rush to grab the stairs?"

Kogoro Mouri shrugged: "I didn't say anything, I just 'kindly' offered a suggestion."

Tokiwa Mio chuckled softly, "As expected of a famous detective, even escaping is so strategic."

Kogoro Mouri proudly raised his chin: "Of course!"

He secretly gave Shiraishi E a thumbs up in his heart. If it weren't for her, he wouldn't have had the chance to show off!
—————————— After hanging up on Kogoro Mouri, Emi Shiraishi immediately dialed Eri Kisaki's number.

After the call connected, Eri Kisaki's rapid breathing came through the receiver, accompanied by a noisy and chaotic background, clearly indicating that she was struggling to descend the stairs.

"Attorney Fei, where are you now?" Shiraishi asked in a deep voice as she walked quickly down the corridor.

"I... am going downstairs... through the emergency exit..." Eri's voice was broken and intermittent, clearly indicating that she was exhausted.

Just then, a shoving sound came from the other end of the phone, followed by Eri's exclamation of "Ouch!", accompanied by the sound of staggering footsteps and the rustling of clothes against the wall.

Shiraishi E frowned and immediately asked, "Are you alright?!"

Eri Kisaki steadied herself and said, slightly out of breath, "I'm fine... I was just bumped into."

Sensing her fatigue, Shiraishi E quickly asked, "What floor are you on now?"

“49th floor…” Eri Kisaki leaned against the stair railing, her chest heaving violently, her bangs soaked with sweat and clinging to her cheeks.

Without the slightest hesitation, Shiraishi E immediately said, "Don't leave yet, rest where you are, I'll come find you now!"

Eri instinctively refused: "No... don't worry about me, you go downstairs with Ran and the others first..."

Shiraishi E had already rushed into the emergency exit, saying as she quickly descended the stairs, "I've already sent Ran and Sonoko downstairs; they're safe now."

His voice carried a hint of annoyance: "We originally wanted you to be the first to evacuate, but some brain-dead FBI agent shouted 'There's a bomb in the building' over the loudspeaker, and now everyone's panicking and scrambling to get downstairs!"

Upon hearing this, Eri Kisaki couldn't help but chuckle softly, a warm feeling welling up inside her.

She hadn't expected that Shiraishi E would still be concerned about her safety even in such a critical moment.

"Thank you..." she said softly, then, remembering something, she asked worriedly, "What about Ran and Sonoko? Are they safe?"

As Shiraishi E rushed downstairs, she replied, "Don't worry, they've already left the building and found a safe place."

However, even at his speed, it would take him quite a while to reach a height of 49 stories.

Shiraishi E frowned, then suddenly an idea struck her—

"Attorney Fei, wait for me a moment."

After saying that, he flipped over and leaped, landing steadily on the stair railing, and then—

"Shh-!"

He slid down the railing at an astonishing speed, almost every five seconds to slide down one level!
Hearing the whooshing sound of wind coming from the other end of the phone, Eri asked in confusion, "Shiraishi? What are you doing?"

Even as they glided at high speed, Shiraishi's voice remained clear: "Take a shortcut!"

Eri Kisaki was about to say something when suddenly—

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

A series of deafening explosions came from somewhere in the building, and the entire building shook violently!
Eri Kisaki was so startled that she nearly dropped her phone. Two or three seconds later, she recovered from her shock, and just then—

"Help! Someone is injured!"

A piercing scream came from the corridor on the 49th floor.

Eri Kisaki's eyes sharpened, and without the slightest hesitation, she immediately turned around, pushed open the emergency exit door, and rushed into the 49th floor.

"Shiraishi, I'll go check on the situation!" she said hurriedly into the phone, then quickly ran towards the direction of the cries for help.

On the other end of the phone, Shiraishi E's voice suddenly rose: "Wait! Attorney Ki! Don't wander off—wait for me!"

However, Eri Kisaki had already rushed into the chaotic 49th floor.

"Sigh." Shiraishi E sighed, but she knew that the Mori family were good people and would not do anything to leave someone to die.

He quickly reached the 49th floor, jumped off the handrail, rushed into the emergency exit, and walked into the corridor. He looked around, found Eri Kisaki, and immediately went over to her.
