Chapter 29 Visit
Austin, the fat boy who was cheerful with Ryan just now, suddenly became serious and gritted his teeth and uttered a few words: "Swift, is there a problem?"

Judging from his expression, it seemed as if having this last name was a shame.

Ryan shook his head. He had heard Taylor mention that he had a brother who was three years younger than him, but he didn't know that he was also at Hendersonville High School, let alone on the school's football team.

Having said that, no matter what happened between me and his sister, it had nothing to do with him.

"It's very stressful, right?" Ryan asked.

"what?"

"I have a celebrity sister."

"Oh, there is some pressure. There are a lot of people in this school who are jealous of her openly or secretly." Austin muttered. He must have heard a lot of rumors about Taylor.

This was too normal. Ryan knew the general meaning of those words without even thinking about it. They fell into three categories: slut-shaming, personal attacks, and questioning of talent.

"These people are all idiots. They simply cannot see how hard she works. Whenever she has free time, she starts trying to write new songs. When she's busy, we may not see her for a week. In order to maintain her personal image, she dares not eat too much, but she's still so happy every day. I don't know what happened these past two days. She's been in a bad mood since she came back from Florida, as if someone owed her money and didn't pay her back." Austin muttered to himself. He must have been scolded yesterday.

"If anyone dares to bully her, I will... I will... I can't let her be bullied." Austin said.

"That's absolutely fine." Ryan nodded.

"What do you think of her?" Austin looked at Ryan, obviously unaware that the person who was going to Florida with Taylor was right in front of him, and even less aware that Ryan and his sister had an unspeakable afternoon.

Ryan casually said, "She's going to be a world-class superstar."

"Yes, she will become a world-class superstar, standing on the stage, under the light of countless spotlights, singing loudly amid the cheers of tens of thousands of audiences. This has been her dream since childhood." Austin nodded.

In a parallel universe, Taylor might have successfully entered the finance department of an Ivy League school, followed her father to work on Wall Street after graduation, married a man of matching status and appearance after working for a few years, and finally chose to stay at home to take care of her husband and children like her mother did. Until one day, when she saw Faith Hill's live performance on TV, she wondered if she would remember the dream that ignited in her mind when she first saw her on TV in the afternoon several years ago...

After the training session, Austin actually invited Ryan to his home. Ryan naturally refused and made up an excuse saying he would definitely go next time.

"Will you still attend training tomorrow?" Austin asked expectantly.

"Not necessarily." Ryan said that if Abigail didn't need to train tomorrow, she would tutor him.

"Gentlemen, here is the latest information. The coach is taking a leave tomorrow and training will be suspended for a day." Paul came over at this time.

"Ahem, Ryan, can you book a table for us tonight? We finally defeated our arch-rival, and the team hasn't had time to celebrate yet. We've agreed that tonight is a men's game, and no one with a girlfriend is allowed to bring along!" Paul was so excited that he made a baboon cry.

Back in Florida, it was he who took Ryan and others to the "wet T-shirt party". Because of his injury in the last game, he was only a substitute and did not contribute much on the court, but when it comes to where to go for fun, he is always the first one to rush in!
"Do you all have IDs?" Ryan asked.

Such a small question certainly does not stump Paul: "Everyone gets one, from 18 to 90 years old, fill in as many as you want."

Then Paul looked at Austin next to Ryan and said, "Want to join us, Boy Scout? Summer camp is nothing like that. The women there, oh my, they can make you dizzy when they swing!"

Paul said this while making curved lines with his hands.

Ryan immediately elbowed Paul in the face and then told Austin to go home tonight.

"Only you are allowed to pick up girls in the nightclub, but others are not allowed to even look at them? Do you still consider us teammates?" Paul said. In fact, it is because these parties are AA, and if there is one more person, you can pay less.

Austin also nodded: "My sister said that we should actively participate in group activities in order to integrate into the team."

You are still quite obedient at this time! Ryan complained in his heart.

·
Late at night, a Dodge Challenger drove through the streets of Nashville's wealthy area.

"You're home." Ryan patted Austin's cheek.

At this time, the little fat boy had a ruddy face, his head drooped down, and a not-too-strong smell of alcohol emanated from his body.

At the last moment, he was in a wheelchair and lost his ability to move. The others didn't know where Austin's home was, and they couldn't just leave him in the nightclub. Unfortunately, Joel didn't go to work tonight, so Ryan, who didn't drink, had to drive him back. "Stop it!" The drunken little fat boy raised his hand and knocked Ryan's hand away.

Ryan gritted his teeth and had to get out of the car, open the door from the other side, help him out of the car, and then carry him towards the house.

It was already early morning, and Taylor's house was the only one on the entire street that was brightly lit. I guess the whole family was extremely anxious.

Ryan just walked into the yard carrying Austin, and the door opened quickly. Ryan saw Taylor running out angrily and running towards the two of them.

As he walked, he cursed, "You bastard."

Seeing that she was about to teach her brother a lesson, Ryan quickly explained for Austin: "No one asked him to drink more, it was just one glass, just one glass..."

At this time, Taylor raised his hand and hit.

"Snapped!"

The crisp sound of the slap was particularly loud in the quiet night, startling some German Shepherd dog nearby, which howled a few times.

Austin raised his hand and scratched his neck, but felt no pain at all.

Because it wasn't him who got slapped.

Ryan turned sideways at the critical moment and Taylor slapped him on the shoulder. He then put Austin down, and the fat boy lay directly on the ground and fell asleep.

"Are you done yet?!" Taylor said gritting his teeth, pointing his finger at Ryan from beginning to end.

Ryan was about to speak when he heard Taylor's voice behind him: "How could you hit someone, dear?"

Then a middle-aged woman with a plump appearance walked out of the room. Taylor's golden hair was exactly the same as hers, so she was obviously her biological mother.

The next person to come out was a middle-aged man who was half a head taller than Ryan. His hair color was exactly the same brown-black as Austin's. It was obvious that Taylor and his sister inherited their height from him.

When the middle-aged man smelled the alcohol on Austin, he realized something and was about to help Austin up. Ryan quickly lent a hand.

"You're not allowed to touch him!" Taylor shouted immediately.

"Shut up." Scott, Tai's father, shouted.

"How can your father carry it all by himself? Besides, they are kind enough to send your brother back. You can't be so rude." Taylor's mother Andrea also helped to grab the things.

Taylor wanted to speak again, but his father glared at him again, so he had to shut his mouth in disappointment.

There is no good intention at all! Taylor thought.

She bit her lip the whole time and stood by, frowning as she watched Ryan almost single-handedly carry his brother into the house, into the room, and put him on the bed. A drunk person would look very heavy, and Austin was an inch taller than Ryan and a bit fat, so even Ryan couldn't help but gasp after doing all this.

"I'll go get some water. Look how tired the child is. Let him take a rest."

Taylor's mother said immediately when she saw beads of sweat on Ryan's forehead.

"Mom...it's getting late, let's send him back." Taylor pulled Ryan directly and wanted to go out, fearing that Ryan would stay in his house for even a second longer.

But he ran into his father head-on. His father was wearing glasses and had a serious expression on his face.

"He has to stay. I have something to ask him." Taylor's father Scott said in an unquestionable tone.

Some readers have already seen Taylor's parents in Chapter 3. I made some revisions that night and decided to expand this line, so now is the first time the protagonist meets Taylor's parents.
