Chapter 19: Seven Days of Creation (Part )

Downs gave these mortals life and soul, Odin gave them reason and appearance, Willy gave them loyalty and movement, and Paul gave them language.

The first generation of human ancestors was born.

What the gods other than Tangs did not expect was that many maggot-like creatures grew on the land formed by the bodies of the two giants.

When Downs had nothing to do and gave them spirituality, some of the creatures that looked like maggots but were actually silkworms turned into beautiful light elves under the sunlight. They had gorgeous and slender bodies and gorgeous appearances, and they won the love of all the Aesir gods and giants as soon as they were born.

The maggots that were apparently born from Ymir's corpse and preferred darkness turned into dark elves, living together with the dwarves and midgets created by the gods from the first giant.

However, Downs had made up his mind from the beginning that he would not treat other mortal races as mere objects of exploitation by the Aesir, as Odin in the epic did.

Even in the darkest dwarf kingdom [Svartalfheim], there will be a month of sunshine, and even in the coldest kingdom of the dead [Helheim], there will be a month of spring.

Just after he took the first step in the air, all the intelligent creatures in the Nine Realms felt their hearts skip a beat at the same time.

The Creator retired after accomplishing his mission. The connection that came from the deepest part of the soul and life, like a huge rock falling into water, produced a wonderful resonance in the hearts of all beings in the nine realms.

At this moment, all the beings in the nine realms raised their heads collectively and turned their faces towards where Tangs was.

Somewhere in the dark, they surpassed the limits of their vision and saw that majestic figure shining brightly, stepping onto the rainbow bridge and rising slowly to the supreme realm of the gods.

No one taught them, but they shouted out prayers in unison.

Even though they knew that the great Æsir King, His Majesty Downs Paulson, would not answer their prayers, they were still caught in a common dream of happiness.

In hopeful anticipation, they heard the promise of the God-King.

"Those who serve the Aesir faithfully will be promoted to Asgard and share eternal life and happiness with us!"

"Struggle! Fight! Prove yourself with blood and courage!"

"Then, step onto the Rainbow Bridge—"

Amid the solemn announcement, they saw a tall and majestic figure transform into a stream of light, like a rising sun, illuminating the entire Nine Realms and finally arriving at Asgard, the realm of the upper gods.

All living things in the nine realms bowed down together. Their movements were so coordinated that it seemed to form a wave.

The incomparable desire from the bottom of their hearts surged up in their throats, and finally, with the language ability given by Paul, they all uttered the first words of their lives:

"I will obey the order of His Majesty the Divine King!"
