Chapter 341 Seizing the Initiative

Chapter 341 Seizing the Initiative
After the functions related to the God Emperor were shut down in the system, the backdoor left by the God Emperor was erased, and the Palu Teleportation Portal and Palu Warehouse became unusable.

After obtaining Rand's genetic sample, Li Nuo found a relatively safe place to stay.

He witnessed Elena leading a rescue of Waldo, and also met Kron, the leader of the Bloodhand clan, who came to meet him.

He handed over Rand's genetic sample and all the technical data he had collected along the way to Kron, and headed to the Golden Gate alone.

He previously speculated that the appearance of the warp rift was a conspiracy by the Chaos God.

But upon closer inspection, something doesn't seem quite right.

If the Chaos God had the ability to use Rand to open a warp rift, wouldn't Rand have already tormented Karata to pieces?

Therefore, Li Nuo strongly suspects that there is still crucial information hidden within this that he has not yet grasped.

His first suspect was the Eldar who shared the network technology blueprints with Land!

There's no way around it; the Eldar have a good reputation for this.

This race of shaggy hairs has had intricate connections with the Chaos God since the disappearance of the ancient saints.

Especially that book, "The Book of Destiny".

Li Nuo had a feeling that this thing was just a disguise for the blue-feathered bird.

Perhaps, under the direction of the Book of Destiny, the Eldar deliberately gave Rand a flawed blueprint for the Internet of Things.

If RAND follows the normal error correction process and makes minor adjustments to the device, the device will immediately go out of control and trigger a subspace rift.

This insidious strategy is technically entirely feasible.

Unfortunately, when Li Nuo extracted Rand's gene sample, he did not find the blueprint on this great sage.

Li Nuo pondered that in order to bring the truth to light, he had to get his hands on the blueprints. If they weren't on Rand, they would most likely be stored in the researchers' rest area, which was near the Golden Gate.

After a thrilling but safe journey of wandering and sprinting, Li Nuo successfully located the blueprints before Waldo and Elena arrived at the Golden Gate.

Just as he had expected, the technical drawings were under strict guard by the Guardians of the Church.

Trusting in the Golden Gate, the Guardians did not transfer the blueprints after the warp rift appeared.

They placed the metal safe containing the blueprints in the middle to deter anyone who approached.

Li Nuo raised his hand, locked onto multiple points with his mind, and snapped his fingers with a flick of his right hand.

"Clap!"

Light spell, activate!

A bright white light instantly filled the scene.

The sensors of the Guardians of the Faith were too sensitive and were the first to be burned by the intense light, followed by the vision of ordinary people and the sensors of various monitoring instruments.

He leaped into the air, dashed through the air, used a vibration technique to pry open the metal safe, and flung the technical blueprints inside.

Li Nuo reached out and, as he landed outside the golden gate, casually grabbed the blueprints.

Kron piloted the reconnaissance ship, making a precise sub-light speed jump, and instantly arrived directly above Li Nuo, using a tractor beam to take him away.

"Damn it! It's a Palu orc warship!"

"When did this ship appear?!"

Li Nuo used a vibration technique to accelerate his ascent, causing the crowd below to shout and scream.

Not far away, Elena and Waldo noticed the reconnaissance ship in the sky.

Waldo flew into a rage, but Elena trembled and her pupils contracted slightly.

"Why are the Palu beastmen here?" Elena murmured to herself.

Waldo angrily cursed:
"What else could it be?! These damned bastards planted spies here, secretly sabotaging our equipment and causing a warp rift! Now they've got their eyes on the technical blueprints that you Eldar shared with us! I bet that damned, filthy, despicable orc has those blueprints in its hands! ...Stop it! Don't let it take the blueprints away!"

Waldo's words startled Elena.

"You didn't even carry the blueprints with you?!" Elena screamed.

Waldo didn't answer her, and rushed out without even caring about Rand.

Elena was extremely anxious and rushed towards the orc who was flying higher and higher.

The Palu Orcs also possessed network technology, and they would certainly find loopholes in the blueprints.

They disclosed the technological vulnerabilities to the human empire, but the human empire might not believe it and simply consider it a trick by the Palu orcs to sow discord between humans and Eldar.

However, this is not always the case.

People like Waldo, who don't understand technology, generally won't believe the Palu beastmen's stories.

But Rand, and the other great sages on Mars, were different.

If we follow the explanation given by the Palu orcs and conduct in-depth research and deduction, it will not be difficult to discover that all of this is actually a trap set by the Eldar.

Elena didn't want to see this happen.

"Li Nuo! Stop! I know it's you controlling this orc!" Elena shouted as she flew.
"Give the blueprints back! Don't take them with you! Whatever you want, we can give you!"

Li Nuo just stepped through the hatch on the lower deck of the reconnaissance ship.

He turned to look down, his gaze lingering briefly on Elena as she flew towards him, before slowly raising his red glove:
(︶︿︶)_╭∩╮!
Elena, your rush just confirms my guess, doesn't it?
Li Nuo snorted coldly and went into the cabin.

The reconnaissance ship started up and sped away from the trouble zone, leaving Waldo and Elena wailing and howling below.

Several Imperial warships that were intercepting the demon army came to intercept the reconnaissance ship.

Li Nuo possessed Kron and directed the entire breakout, arriving unharmed in the adjacent net space.

Ten minutes later.

The reconnaissance ship took a shortcut to reach Palu Homeland, and Li Nuo immediately summoned the professors of Palu Academy to study the blueprints.

The Rand gene sample was also taken by the chief mad doctor for cloning experiments.

The waiting time was rather tedious, so Li Nuo switched his consciousness back to the Witch Priest Boy, called Pakado over, explained the situation to him, and discussed the next course of action.

After listening to his family's shaman's description, Paccado pondered for a moment and then drew a preliminary conclusion about the incident:
"My lord, I think this is all a conspiracy by the Eldar. They can't stop you from becoming the true god of the orcs, so they can only resort to restarting the plan to destroy the Dark Lord, forcing the God-Emperor to sit on the Golden Throne for too long."

"The God-Emperor cannot pay attention to the rebellion at all times; his main base is the human empire of the End Era! As long as an opportunity is found, while the God-Emperor is not paying attention to the rebellion, Pointy Ears may be able to let the Dark King descend into the Emperor's body and then seal him away."

"The control of the seal is in the hands of Pointy Ears, which is a bargaining chip they can use to negotiate with us. If we don't agree to Pointy Ears' demands, they might detonate the Dark Lord, causing it to prematurely devour the rebellious era sub-universe, resulting in a mutual destruction between us."

Li Nuo asked:
"Pacador, do you mean we should stop Pointy Ears from sealing away the Dark Lord?"

"Please allow me to correct you. We should stop the Dark Lord from descending. If that fails, we should stop Pointy Ears from sealing the Dark Lord and instead seal him ourselves."

Paccard explained his thoughts in detail, and Li Nuo listened and nodded to himself.

Makado's genes are truly amazing; even a graduate student like myself couldn't have thought of so many things, let alone such details.

Most importantly, the solution that Packard came up with on the spot could be combined with the solution to eliminate the pointed ears, complementing each other without conflict.

Of course, many details still need to be refined. Paccardo has ample time to perfect the plan before the ascension ceremony concludes.

"Go down, Paccardo."

"Yes, sir."

Paccard bowed respectfully and left, leaning on his staff—even though he had no spellcasting ability.

The ritual array fell silent, and Li Nuo closed his eyes to rest.

Compared to the tranquility here, Terra Palace is much more lively.

The subspace rift continues to expand, and more and more large-sized demons are appearing on the scene.

With Karata fallen, the crowd gathered in the artificial corridor and rushed into the golden gate.

Those in front crowded and squeezed through the door, while those behind were devoured by the demon.

The demons devoured the demons from back to front, arriving at the golden gate. The guards behind the gate, knowing they were no match for them, decisively closed the gate. The gate slammed shut, crushing hundreds of demons to death, their blood gushing out and flesh flying everywhere.

As the psionic barrier on the gate activated, the demons were unable to budge the gate at all; instead, they were injured by the psionic energy.

They retreated unwillingly back to Karasta, where they built various chaotic facilities filled with bloodshed and evil.

Currently, the only network portal controlled by the Human Empire is Karasta.

If the device hadn't exploded, the Human Empire could have opened the network portal elsewhere and maintained control of that entrance for a long time.

Unfortunately, the device exploded.

Not only did it explode, it also created a subspace rift that could not be closed.

Even more tragically, the blueprints for the device were also stolen by the Palu Beastmen.

When Rand awoke from his coma and heard the news of the stolen blueprints, his head instantly turned red with rage, and he almost fainted again.

Fortunately, the Mechanical Sage possesses a strong heart and resilient blood vessel walls.

After catching his breath, Rand managed to calm down.

The servant helped him to his feet, and as his field of vision rose, the Eldar and Waldor came into view.

Upon seeing the Eldar, Rand's eyes lit up with joy. He quickly stepped forward and said in a pleading tone:
"Could you please give us another set of network technology blueprints...?"

This is a reasonable request.

It's just a matter of copying, it won't take much time or effort.

As long as he offered sufficient compensation, Rand believed that the Eldar would grant his request.

However, Elena shook her head, politely declining Rand's suggestion:

“I’m afraid that won’t work, Rand. The prophecy we received didn’t mention a second set of blueprints. Of course, we also didn’t anticipate that the Palu orcs would sabotage the device and steal the blueprints. It’s probably because of the Palu psionic field that our prophecies often fail to apply to them.”

These words are true. Elena did not read any prophecy related to the theft of the blueprints in the Book of Destiny, otherwise she would have protected the blueprints first instead of rescuing Rand.

Elena believes that the Book of Destiny deliberately concealed the fact that the Palu Beastmen stole the blueprints in order to make some kind of prophecy come true, just like the last supernova explosion.

Although she was disgusted by the Book of Destiny's concealment of some of the truth, Elena, as an incarnation of a Spirit Race deity, had no choice but to unconditionally obey the prophecy's arrangements.

When Rand saw that Elena rejected his suggestion, he turned away in disappointment and silently walked towards the palace, preparing to seize the time and use his memory to replicate the blueprints.

Waldo assigned the task of guarding the Golden Gate and asked Elena:
"Does the Eldar have a way to close that warp rift?"

"The Palu orcs have occupied an important facility in the Webway. That facility might be able to close a warp rift of this size. The Eldar's power alone can at most stop the rift from expanding."

Elena pointed the finger at the Palu orcs, which further confirmed Waldo's previous speculation.

"Damn those Palu orcs, and that damned Lino, he was so well-prepared for today's operation..."

Waldo was furious, gripping the handle of his halberd so tightly that it creaked and clicked.

Elena said:

"We Eldar are the most steadfast allies of the Imperium of Man. I will now return to organize a tactical operation to stop the expansion of the Warp Rift. However, I must first warn you that the attempt to stop the expansion of the Warp Rift may very well backfire, causing it to widen further."

"The crack can widen?" Waldo asked gravely, his face darkening. "How wide can it possibly widen?"

Elena thought for a moment and said:

"It may devour the web space where Karata is located."

Waldo's thick eyebrows furrowed:
"Doesn't that mean the warp is right outside the Golden Gate?"

“That’s right.” Elena nodded. “However, this is an extremely low probability event, and such a situation should not occur.”

The probability is small, but that doesn't mean it won't happen.

If it really happens, Waldo knows he can't take the blame.

"I need to report to His Majesty. Please wait here for a while."

"No problem, but you need to make a decision as soon as possible. It will take at least half a month to see any effect from the operation to stop the expansion of the subspace rift. Before that, the rift will continue to expand."

"I understand, I will get back to you as soon as possible."

Waldo dashed through the crowd, ran wildly along the man-made corridor, and rushed into the palace, reaching the foot of the Golden Throne steps.

A golden figure stood on the steps, as if he had been waiting for Waldo's arrival.

"Your Majesty." Waldo knelt on one knee, his heart heavy.

"What happened to Karata?" The Emperor asked in a deep voice, his hands behind his back.

"Your Majesty, the Eldar shared with us a set of blueprints for Webpath technology. Grand Sage Rand combined these blueprints with recent research to successfully create a Webpath gate control device. The despicable Palu Orcs seized the opportunity to sabotage the device, opening a warp rift in Karathari and stealing the blueprints..."

Waldo recounted what had happened, repeatedly mentioning the "Palu Beastmen," clearly convinced that the Palu Beastmen were the mastermind.

"Your Majesty, we must not allow Li Nuo to become the true god of the orcs. He dares to destroy Karata now and threaten the Terran Palace; he will dare to overthrow the empire in the future!"

Waldo spoke passionately, but the Emperor remained unmoved.

The golden figure calmly looked at the commander of the Imperial Guards, his eyes as still as a deep well.
"Waldo, why did the Palu orcs steal the blueprints?"

"Of course, it's to steal the Eldar's network technology!" The words had barely left his mouth when Waldo felt a chill run down his spine for no apparent reason.

"Wait, something's not right! The Palu orcs' web-building technology is in no way inferior to the Eldar's; they have no reason to steal the blueprints. So why would they do this..."

Waldo became confused.

The God Emperor said:

"Let the Eldar stop the Warp Rift from expanding. At the same time, we must prepare for the worst. Go back and tell Elena not to talk to me about probabilities, I only care about the outcome. If we successfully stop the Warp Rift from expanding, the Eldar will be allies of the Imperium of Man. If we fail to stop the Warp Rift from expanding, the Eldar will be mortal enemies of the Imperium of Man."

With a wave of his hand, the God-Emperor threw Waldo into the artificial net track.
