Chapter 470, Section 468: The Royal Meeting

Chapter 470, Section 468: The Royal Meeting (Bonus Chapter 14)

This is an unknown, dark space.

Silence, stillness, coldness, darkness, as if forever shrouded in shadow.

But no one knew that this was the legendary realm of kings.

The Old World has a long history, marked by periods of division and reunification, with countless kingdoms and rulers.

These kings basically never meet; the rule of kings not meeting kings is an unspoken rule.

However, in certain special circumstances, there is a need for them to meet and discuss matters, and they may even have to meet face-to-face instead of asking others to speak on their behalf.

Where there is demand, there is a market. And it's unclear when exactly someone created this "King's Realm".

Legend has it that this is a spatial fragment peeled off from the Mechanical Realm in the inner plane. It was probably torn off by some great beings in battle. It is not large and has no additional function.

However, it encompasses certain special laws of the mechanical realm, which allows it to do things that the prime material plane cannot.

Suddenly, a light shone from the outside, swirling as if it were a tangible entity, transforming into a source of light that dispelled the long-standing darkness.

With the help of the light source, you can see the surroundings clearly.

As far as the eye could see, there were dozens or even hundreds of magic mirrors suspended in the void.

They come in various shapes, some long and some round, resembling a mirrored jungle.

What they have in common is that the frames of these magic mirrors are all made of a rare magical wood, possessing excellent magic-guiding properties.

Then, it was coated with gold paint and embellished with red paint, revealing an incredibly intricate magic pattern.

Looking down further, on the dark earth, there were countless fragments of the magic mirror, layer upon layer, too numerous to count.

The Realm of Kings, also known as the Mirror of Kings, is created when a king is born, unifies a region, and establishes a kingdom. He is then qualified to create such a mirror and send it into this dimensional fragment.

Until this kingdom is destroyed, the magic mirror will shatter and fall to the earth, becoming a mirror ruin.

The purpose of these surface fragments is to facilitate face-to-face communication by utilizing certain characteristics of the mechanical realm.

Think of it as a magical version of video calling!

That was the fastest method of communication before the Magic Eye and Magic Mirror became widespread, and before communication arrays could connect the entire continent.

Of course, by today's standards, this has become a symbol; only by placing the magic mirror of one's own kingdom here can one be considered a true king.

This is also the biggest difference between a kingdom and a duchy; a grand duke doesn't have that qualification.

Then, the light source seemed to find its location, splitting into three and falling directly into the forest of mirrors, onto the three most prominent mirrors.

Then, the mirror shimmered, revealing a completely different world, like a reflection in a mirror, displaying a unique and magical scene.

The first thing to appear was a throne made up of countless ships!
Sails became flags, decks became steps, corpses and swords were decorations, and ropes and corals bound everything.

A woman, graceful and dignified, climbed the steps one by one until she reached the highest throne.

It was a bright red throne, a glaring red that seemed to be soaked in blood, with a pungent, bloody stench.

However, when the woman turned around, even the most prominent throne became an embellishment, only serving to highlight her regal majesty!
This one, the ruler of the Kingdom of Sardinia, was an extremely rare female supreme ruler throughout the history of the Old World—the great Queen Victoria.

She spoke softly, "Aren't you going to show yourselves?"
I don't want to waste too much time.

As she spoke, the surrounding environment changed once again.

First, there was a staircase made up of countless knights, their armor gleaming, their weapons sharp, maintaining a high fighting spirit, yet their heads bowed.

They are sharp swords, weapons, loyal and pursuing glory.

The steps they formed stretched straight to the top, where a magnificent throne, though not large, had a backrest that reached all the way to the sky.

It seemed to indicate that his power was all-encompassing and all-powerful.

At this moment, a person was already sitting on the throne. His hair was half black and half white, his skin was smooth and elastic, and his features were three-dimensional and exceptionally handsome.

His nobility and majesty were ingrained in his very being; every move he made attracted everyone's attention.

This man, the ruler of the Bonaparte Empire, the great Napoleon III, whose full name was Charles Louis Napoleon Bonaparte!

Immediately afterwards, another throne appeared, held aloft by countless warriors.

They were a group of muscular men, shirtless, holding weapons high. Though their appearance was chaotic, it exuded an indomitable spirit of defying fate.

The clinging bodies piled up one after another, eventually transforming into a wide, luxurious, and angular throne at the top.

A man walked up to them, wearing the simplest bearskin cloak, which revealed his tall and strong physique.

He seemed like a Hercules from mythology, embodying extreme violence and masculinity; every movement he made seemed to proclaim boundless power.

This one is His Majesty the Emperor of the Slavic Empire, the one among the three kings who reveres martial prowess the most, and also the only legendary king.

Of course, he preferred to be called the Tsar! The three mountains and the throne formed a triangle, presenting a confrontational posture.

This is no longer a meeting of kings!

This is the Council of Emperors, representing the three highest peaks of power in the Old World.

Although they are currently facing the most brutal challenges of the Hohenzollern family.

The three met, each with their own unique charm, but none of them spoke first.

Some were lost in thought, their heads slightly raised, their minds wandering far away, preoccupied with something else entirely.

Some sat upright, heads slightly bowed, brows furrowed, as if observing the suffering of humanity.

There was another person sitting crookedly, playing with his fingers without a care for his image, occasionally looking up, with a faint, mocking smile always on his lips.

The silence lasted for a long time, until finally, Her Majesty the Empress spoke again: "What do you think of the suggestion we made last time?"

The Tsar sat up straight and said, "I have no objection. Anyway, failure will have the least impact on me, while success will bring me great benefits."

However, to be fair, a mere earl has kept the three of us discussing this several times; he deserves to die with honor in his honor.

Napoleon III raised his head and asked, "Have you considered that, regardless of success or failure, we will lose a most important channel?"

"By then, even if we're willing to pay more, who will procure the magical weapons of the Habsburg Empire for us?"

"What's there to be reluctant about giving up those outdated magical weapons?"

The Empress's voice grew much louder: "Don't tell me you haven't noticed, the weapons they sell us are all second-rate, outdated, and far inferior to what they use now."

With these weapons, even if we formed a magic-powered legion, we wouldn't be a match for them.

"And the supplies and gold we provided actually reduced the burden on the Habsburg Empire."

If this continues, the strong will get stronger and the weak will get weaker. What do you think the outcome will be?

"Don't forget, this is not just a simple territorial dispute; it also involves the foundation of rule and beliefs."

We have no right to fail!

Napoleon III was silent for a moment before saying quietly, "That's true, but have you ever considered what the Papacy thinks about taking action against this illegitimate count?"
How would the Habsburg Empire react?

"The Holy See just granted him the status of a Knight Templar, which is considered an affirmation of him."

The empire has nurtured us for so long, do you think they'll just let us reap the benefits?

"It's already a fight to the death, why bother thinking so much?"

This time it was the Tsar who spoke. He leaned back, revealing his clearly visible eight-pack abs.

"I only have one requirement: whoever gets the talent and machinery can keep them, but the technology must be shared!"

"Damn it, I only just found out that there are so many twists and turns in Magic Energy Industries!"

"In the past, I was misled by the Vatican and accumulated no experience whatsoever. Now, if I want to develop, I have no technology, no talent, no machinery, and no ability. It's simply impossible to move forward."

“Victoria, forget those high-sounding reasons. To put it bluntly, we’re just after the technological expertise of Flower Territory.”

"Only by seizing him can we complete industrial accumulation as quickly as possible, manufacture our own guns and cannons, and break free from his control!"

This means laying all their thoughts on the table, without any concealment, which also makes the other two emperors lose face.

"Since no one is speaking up, let's vote!"

"I agree!"

"I agree too!"

"Let's do it that way then! However, we still need to discuss the specifics of how to proceed."

That little guy is not easy to deal with; we need to have a comprehensive plan.

"This brings us to the second issue: how should the three great emperors of the Old World deal with a minor count?"

That was the Tsar's voice. After speaking, he actually chuckled and said to himself, "This sounds a bit magical!"

"He must have extraordinary abilities to withstand the pressure and firmly embark on the path of magic energy industry."

Napoleon III spoke with admiration, but then changed the subject, saying, "Therefore, war is the last resort of plunder. If we want to take Flower Territory safely, the best way is to deal with Roy first."

"So, what do you mean?"

"Which do you think is most suitable: a death curse, poison, or nightmares?"
