Chapter 27 Harry and Ron's Comfort
Chapter 27 Harry and Ron's Comfort
"Uh... I mean... you see, we haven't seen each other for a few days..." Harry's voice sounded extremely awkward. He originally wanted to give Ivy some spiritual encouragement as a friend, so that he would not indulge in pain and sadness because of a temporary setback.
But there was no way to bring this kind of thing up directly, and Harry, who had always been living under someone else's roof, had no experience in comforting others, so now Harry hoped very much that his good brother, Ron, would notice the situation quickly and help him out.
"Ivy!" Ron exclaimed in a low voice. It seemed that the impression left by the two senior students who were just kicked out had not faded away. "Your quill is writing your homework by itself! And it's Transfiguration homework!"
Well done, Ron!
Harry secretly cheered for Ron in his heart. Children from large wizarding families are just different.
"What brand of quill is this? From the Scholar's House? Or the stationery store in Diagon Alley?" The quill that could be used to complete homework completely attracted Ron's attention. His eyes didn't even move towards Harry. "I'm willing to exchange everything I have for it!"
"I'm afraid it's unique." Ivy stretched out his finger and the quill that was still writing stopped its action and floated to his hand. "This is a quill I created with magic. No one can use it except me. And it's not writing homework automatically. It just records my thoughts."
Because he helped Snape a lot in the Potions classroom, Ivy gained enough experience to gain two levels in his professional level as a wizard of the Scribes.
It was because of this that Ivy began to use the Mage's Pen to help deal with the homework that was a bit complicated for first-year students.
Apart from Hogwarts, he had never heard of any other school that required 11-year-olds to write essays.
"Oh..." Ron said in amazement, "Could it be an ancient magical relic? If you open a quill shop, I will definitely patronize it. Just think about how many students' troubles this will solve!"
"I see." Ivy nodded. He realized that these two people came to him to get something for free. His Transfiguration thesis was the main target. "It seems that Transfiguration has indeed caused you some trouble?"
"Maybe not a little bit." Harry also joined the discussion. "Apart from Hermione, I don't know anyone else who can be praised by Professor McGonagall in the Transfiguration classroom. No matter how hard we try, the match doesn't budge at all. It's been two whole classes!"
"Maybe I can give you some advice?" Ivy understood what Harry meant and put the words to Harry's lips.
"Just lend us the homework for reference!" Ron picked up his quill, dipped it in the ink bottle, and continued to work on the parchment.
"Hey! Ron!" Harry protested, "That's not what we're here for!"
"It's okay." Ron didn't even raise his head, trying to make the letters he wrote look bigger so that they could take up more space on the parchment. "I think Ivy has you. As for your homework, you can just copy mine when the time comes."
Thinking that he could free up more time to play on weekends, Harry couldn't help but agree with Ron's suggestion in his heart.
"Uh... why don't we continue talking about Transfiguration?" Harry still remembered what Ivy had just said, and couldn't help but hope to get some advice from this ancient wizard who had lived for more than a hundred years.
"In short, Transfiguration is a very precise magic. Before reciting the spell, you must have a comprehensive imagination of the target you want to transform into. If possible, every detail cannot be missed. In addition, you must trust your own magic. Strong confidence is the key to the successful performance of all magic." Ivy did not continue speaking. He nodded in the direction of Madam Pince, motioning Harry to look back.
"Maybe... we shouldn't discuss this in the library." Harry stopped talking and quickly lowered his head to pretend to study hard, because he had seen Madam Pince holding the feather duster in her hand. Ron also noticed Madam Pince's actions, so he moved the Transfiguration paper that belonged to Ivy, which was originally placed in front of him, towards Harry.
Ivy snapped her fingers lightly, and the colorful wizard's pen began its unfinished work again, squeezing between Harry and Ron.
Then he opened the Grimoire of Destruction again and continued to search for the spell he wanted.
Because the Scribe Wizard's professional level has reached Level 2, he can choose up to 10 first-ring spells. However, the number of spells to choose from in the Tome of Destruction is so large that he is almost dazzled.
However, some spells seem great just by looking at the description, so Ivy has already added a few spells to his spellbook.
First up is the Mage Armor, which gives a cotton-robed mage an invisible armor that's almost as good as a full-body metal armor, and it can be continuously enhanced based on the caster's level. Simple to understand and easy to use.
Then there's Scholar's Touch, which allows Ivy to read a book instantly and remember its contents completely. This is simply the best spell for sifting through the valuable collections in the Hogwarts library.
It is also very useful for dealing with exams. The Scholar's Touch can be used to cast spells before the exam, which completely avoids the Ministry of Magic's anti-cheating measures.
In addition, Ivy also chose to be proficient in languages and to be able to disguise himself.
The former allows him to understand magical works written in other languages, while the latter allows him to transform into another person without any flaws. Perhaps he can get some interesting things from the restricted area in this way.
Although the Awakening Grimoire's ability to change the type of spell damage was now effective, Ivy was not interested in a single ring of damaging spells, so he was too lazy to choose even one.
Now he is struggling with whether or not to choose to find a magical pet.
This first-level ritual spell allows him to summon a small animal as a familiar that shares some of the familiar's senses.
Although petting cats and dogs is a very happy thing, Ivy would be a little reluctant if he had to take care of the pets himself. He hates cleaning up poop for any creature.
When magical creatures were raised in the Room of Requirement, there were house-elves to clean the living space for those little cuties, and all Ivy had to do was to scratch their chins from time to time to get a little psychological satisfaction.
Now that the magical creatures in the Room of Requirement have disappeared along with the house-elves that took care of them, Ivy is unwilling to clean up the poop for her pets herself.
"But perhaps magic can solve these problems." Ivy looked at the silver basswood wand in his hand. Wizards have made great achievements in daily magic, so dealing with a cat's excrement is too easy.
