Chapter 50 Cassandra's Raid

Chapter 50 Cassandra's Raid

After dinner in the Great Hall, Hermione and her two useless men rushed to the clock tower first, in her words, to prevent an ambush.

"Thank you for coming with me, Hermione." Harry looked at his friend. He knew very well how much Hermione valued school rules and house points, but even so, she still risked being deducted points to face Malfoy with him.

"Come on, Harry." Hermione certainly wasn't going to be in a good mood. "I just chose Quidditch over detention. Even if I didn't come with you, I wouldn't necessarily be able to stop you. So in order to prevent you from causing more trouble, and in order to prevent you from missing tomorrow's Quidditch game, I have to watch you here!"

"Don't worry! Leave everything to me!" Ron looked very confident. "I've been wanting to beat up Malfoy for a long time!"

"You're the one I'm most worried about!" Hermione screamed.

It was estimated that more than ten minutes had passed, and apart from the occasional senior students passing by, there was indeed no one else in the bell tower.

Of course, Malfoy, who was supposed to come, was nowhere to be seen.

"Are you sure you saw Malfoy get up from the table in the hall?" The longer time dragged on, the calmer the expression on Hermione's face became. She hoped that today's incident would be over. "If you ask me, he is lying to you, Harry. It's Slytherin who is trying to influence your performance!"

"Maybe we should leave early." Ron also advised, "Don't take it to heart. I will help you laugh at Malfoy for being a coward in the stands tomorrow."

"Goodness. I didn't expect you to have such a conscience, Ron," said Hermione sarcastically.

Harry remained silent. To be honest, he really didn't know how to face tomorrow's game. The thought of making a fool of himself in front of thousands of people made his stomach knot up.

"Not thousands of people." Harry looked at Hermione in surprise, whose face was full of relief like a mother. "The total number of teachers and students at Hogwarts is less than 1000, and not everyone will go to watch the Quidditch game. You don't need to put so much pressure on yourself."

It turned out that Harry was so nervous that he spoke out what was in his heart.

"Listen, buddy." Ron came over and patted him on the back. "In my mind, you are the best Seeker ever!"

Harry felt his stomach tightening a little, and decided not to think about Malfoy anymore, so he fell into bed and had a good, restful sleep.

But before that, he needed to tease Ron: "Do you really think so? Even if my opponent is Calvin Gjenn, you will cheer for me?"

Calvin Gudgeon was the Seeker for the Chudley Cannons, and Ron had posters of that team plastered all over the dorm.

"Well..." Ron nodded reluctantly, "Of course buddy! I absolutely support you."

"Hahaha." Harry laughed. "Then let me go back. Maybe we can find some candy in the common room."

However, just as they walked out of the clock tower, they still ran into a few Slytherins, but Malfoy was not among them, because they were a group of first-year girls.

"You are waiting for Malfoy, right?" The leader was a blonde girl. Even if she just stood there without saying a word, she would naturally become the center of the crowd. Fortunately, there was also Ivy in Slytherin, so her attention was reduced a lot.

The Gryffindor trio didn't understand why they were there, so they just nodded and no one spoke.

"Well, I have to apologize to you." But there was no apology on her face, and the same was true for the two followers behind her. "Mr. Malfoy can't come. Slytherin will not win in such a childish way. We don't think a first-year seeker can really catch the Golden Snitch."

Maybe she's right, Harry thought desperately. I'm just a first-year Seeker, there's no way I can actually catch the Snitch.

"Let's end it here." The blonde girl held out a hand. "Let me say sorry again, because Slytherin will completely defeat Gryffindor tomorrow, and also because you are Ivy's friends."

"Don't be so sure!" Hermione held her hand and shook it vigorously. "Harry can do it! Right? Harry?"

However, before Harry could answer, Hermione screamed, "Let go! You're hurting me!"

"My name is Cassandra, Cassandra Wallace, remember this name." Cassandra had no intention of letting Hermione go. She growled in a low voice, "Now, do it!"

The two Slytherin girls beside Cassandra rushed forward, holding Hermione's arms on the left and right, making her unable to move.

Harry and Ron were confused by this sudden turn of events. No one expected that the person who had been shaking hands with them in a friendly manner just a second ago would suddenly attack them.

"Let Hermione go!" Ron didn't know where to put his hands when facing several girls, so he could only shout, "She used a spell to deal with a 20-foot troll. You don't want to end up like it, do you?"

The two girls hugging Hermione looked a little hesitant, but Cassandra had already taken out Hermione's wand from her pocket: "Even if she can really defeat the troll, a wizard without a wand is nothing."

Harry and Ron looked at each other and knew they had to go forward to help. However, before they could take action, several figures suddenly appeared in their field of vision. Those figures were covered with colors like faded oil paint, and then revealed Slytherin school robes.

Harry and Ron recognized them immediately. Goyle, Crabbe, Zabini... all first-year Slytherin students, except for Malfoy, maybe everyone else is here.

These guys were tall and strong, and they immediately pushed Harry and Ron against the wall.

Harry heard Goyle's grim laugh: "Hey, hey! Let us catch you, right? Potter!"

"Stop!" Cassandra hit Goyle with Hermione's wand. "Remember what I said? Harry Potter must not be injured. Slytherin will defeat Gryffindor decently tomorrow."

The fat on Gao Er's face trembled with pain. He didn't dare to complain, but just nodded in agreement.

"Let's talk, Miss Granger." Harry heard Cassandra whisper to Hermione, "Were you with Ivy on Halloween? No need to shake your head, the person sitting at the Slytherin table that day was not Ivy herself."

"Even if you don't answer, I know the answer." Cassandra didn't stop asking, "Now let me ask you, did Ivy help you get rid of the troll?"

Harry didn't hear what Hermione said in response, because all he could hear was Ron's cries of pain.

"That spell! Wasn't it Ivy who taught you the spell that blew the troll to pieces?" Harry tried to listen more clearly. "I really don't know what he likes about you, your messy hair? Your big rabbit-like teeth? Oh! I see, it's tears. That is indeed a girl's most powerful weapon..."

Ivy and Hermione? Are my two friends actually related in that way?

Harry was so horrified that even Ron's cries of pain did not attract his attention.
