Chapter 38 Bone Hyperplasia
As they approached, they discovered that the palm covering their left eye was a natural passage. The palm and finger bones were pressed against the ground, and the raised part was the cover of this passage.

"Is it my illusion?" Qin Feng said as he looked at the passage. "I feel like this place is just missing a plaque with the words 'Place of Sudden Death' on it."

"I agree. Does sudden death mean death?" Lian Gouqie was very curious.

The three of them were already frightened by the ordeal and really didn't want to take the risk. After all, this secret realm was most likely the one that opened the gate to heaven and earth. As long as they found other cultivators, they would have no problem escaping. Why risk their lives?

If Lian Goujie asked Qin Feng, Qin Feng would say that a son of a wealthy family should not sit in the hall; if Lian Goujie asked Wei Xi, Wei Xi would say that saving his life is the first priority and chance is bullshit.

Needless to say, the three chose to walk down the terrain of the human head in the direction of the palms and arms.

Along the way, there were wild grasses that were up to the waist. Wei Xi had read "Records of a Hundred Plants" before in order to grow elixirs, so she had no impression of these wild grasses.

However, she soon realized the danger of this plant. Not only Wei Xi, but also Qin Feng and Lian Gou Xie could not escape its clutches.

"We're all bleeding. Is there anything in this secret realm that won't hurt us?"

Qin Feng pointed at the pheasant on Lian Gou's shoulder that was complaining - one of the few creatures that did not hurt them.

The edges of these half-human-high weeds were jagged and tinged with a faint purple hue. The small serrations were like fangs grown by these silent demons, fiercely scraping the intruder's flesh.

Wei Xi was the shortest - it wasn't her fault, it was the result of age and malnutrition caused by famine - and she had the most bruises on her body. She had a bitter face and tried to tiptoe to reduce the damage.

This is even worse, because not only does it make you walk slower and make more contact, but it also makes your center of gravity unstable and makes it easy to fall over.

Qin Feng was unable to help, and Lian Gou Xie was unable to take care of himself - they couldn't let them sacrifice themselves to carry Wei Xi away.

The three of them consciously quickened their pace, hoping to get out of the weeds before the sun set.

"There's a sound." Lingyin's voice suddenly rang out. The two people who were still walking with Weixi flanked by one another stopped consciously when they heard Weixi talking.

None of the three people spoke, they just tilted their ears to listen to the sound.

There are heartbeats, the sound of wind blowing through the grass, and the occasional bird call.

There was also a sound that caught Wei Xi's attention, a rustling sound.

I knew this place wasn't that simple! The three exhausted men braced themselves. Time was running out, and saving their lives was their top priority. Everything else was unimportant.

Wei Xi's discovery made the three of them ignore the scratches and run forward.

But the sound was getting louder and louder. Looking back, there were only wild grass and white stone walls - they were still within arm's reach.

"What on earth is making that sound?!"

Lian Gouqie was the first to collapse, roaring as he ran.

"Fuck! I want to know too!" Qin Feng cursed, "I can't see or touch it, so I can only run."

"Bird breeder! Think of a way!" Lian Gouqie placed his hopes on Wei Xi. After all, so far Wei Xi is indeed a person who is more willing to use his brain.

"I don't know!" Wei Xi's defense was rarely broken. After all, in her ten years of life, she had never seen something that only had sound but no sight. "I recite a tracking formula? No! Tracking formulas can only be used if you know what it is!"

"Try a few more times!" Lian Gouqie maintained a trace of rationality.

"I can only name two! I'm from the Qingcheng Sect! Our food is our sect's signature dish!"

Wei Xi tried his best to maintain his sanity, but the scene was too bizarre.

The sound was getting louder, indicating that the source was getting closer. But the three of them kept looking back, but they couldn't see anything. The grass, half a man's height, was only the traces of the three people wading through.

Not only were the three men's physical strength running out, but the wounds on their bodies caused by the grass were also increasing.

Wound! Wei Xi's mind immediately captured the key words!
She immediately changed her speed to verify her idea.

"It's these grasses!" Wei Xi shouted to his companions, "These grasses are sucking our blood!"

"What does the blood-sucking grass have to do with the thing chasing us!" Wei Xi stopped. She had just fallen to the last place because she was verifying her idea.

Sure enough, as soon as Wei Xi stopped, the noise behind him became much quieter.

The two people who were paying attention to her movements saw this and heard the sound, and stopped hesitantly.

The sound stopped, and the three of them stood motionless in the weeds, looking at the red glow in the sky.

"What should we do? Tie up their arms and ankles with something to prevent them from sucking blood?" Qin Feng looked at the sun whose face was gradually disappearing and came up with a plan.

"But they've already sucked blood," Lian Gouqie hesitated, "Will there be any impact?"

Wei Xi didn't say anything, but squinted his eyes and frowned as he looked at the weeds around his waist.

To be more precise, she was looking at the roots of the weeds.

Although he suspected that Wei Xi would still push him out to die, Lian Gouqie still became dependent on Wei Xi in just two days. He stretched his neck to see what Wei Xi was looking at.

"Why are you looking at the grass roots?" Lian Gouqie couldn't help but ask, and Qin Feng also looked at Wei Xi.

Wei Xi answered their question with action: she grabbed a weed and, ignoring the scratch and the slight noise behind her, pulled it up by the roots.
Attempted.

Wei Xi's face turned pale as he held up the weeds that couldn't be pulled out by the roots to show the other two.

Where did the weed's roots come from? Where they should be growing is a bunch of root-like red ropes, so red they look dark, giving it a sinister look.

Now all three of them have become pretty boys. How could there be a red string under the grass? Doesn't this huge patch of weeds with no end in sight mean...
"It's all down here..." Qin Feng subconsciously shifted his feet. "Red rope?"

When Qin Feng moved her feet, she suddenly had a bad premonition in her heart. With her good martial arts foundation, she slowly raised her left foot.

A red rope stood trembling in the air, connecting the soles of Qin Feng's feet and the ground.

The warm afterglow of the setting sun could not change all this weirdness: whether it was the weeds Wei Xi held in his hand or the left leg Qin Feng raised, there should not be any red ropes on them.

Lian Gouqie tilted his feet slightly and saw two red ropes half a finger long.

He turned to look at Wei Xi, who had just raised his head. From his expression, he knew that all three of them had been hit.

"What's going on?" Lian Gouyu was still in the mood to chatter, "Is this place missing three blades of grass?"

Qin Feng looked at the gradually rising night, gritted his teeth, and said, "Let's take a gamble!"

Wei Xi's face changed, and before Lingyin could finish her words, Qin Feng drew his sword and slashed at the red rope standing in the air.

The red rope shook violently, but did not break.

Then the three people were pulled to the ground by the red rope under their feet, and then a huge force was transmitted along the red rope, dragging the three people back.

Wei Xi subconsciously grabbed the weeds around him, but it was completely useless.

As the noise grew louder, three people were dragged through the weeds by red ropes.

After a bumpy ride, the three were almost in despair, but it turned out that things could always get worse.

Amidst the deafening crash, the three of them saw each other's upside-down, blood-stained faces in the cold moonlight.

They were hung upside down by red ropes on their palms.

Hanging with them were numerous palm-sized white dolls, which, unsurprisingly, were made of bones.

There was a drop of bright red blood between the doll's empty eyes.

Under the bright moonlight, these bone dolls made a clattering sound.
