Chapter 234 The War That Is About to End

"Nocturnal creatures can't outsmart cats; avoiding traps from inside a building is never as safe or convenient as coming from the outside."

The height is a bit dangerous, and the chances of surviving a fall are probably not very high.

After getting a better feel for her surroundings, Catwoman resumed climbing along the outer wall, no longer looking at the ground.

She was used to the slightly dizzying feeling of being high up—for a feline that spends its days climbing up and down Gotham City at night, falling from a great height is not uncommon. At this moment, rather than worrying about being smashed to pieces, she decided to hold on tightly to the exterior wall of the building and try her best to avoid that possibility.

And after climbing to the seventy-third floor, she indeed saw the clown.

“I saw the Joker,” she reported to Batman. “Seventy-third floor office, you were right—this guy seems to be in a...good mood?”

The Joker still had a droopy mouth. He sat quietly at his desk, and Catwoman could only see his profile. It was strange that the usually crazy and chaotic Joker could be so quiet—which made it even more unsettling, like the calm before the storm.

Or perhaps, he did think of something funny at that moment?
"That's not very polite."

While Catwoman was still thinking, the Joker suddenly turned around, grabbed the revolver from the table with a swift and fluid motion.

When the dark muzzle of the gun was pointed at her, Catwoman finally reacted. Her hair stood on end, her pupils contracted, and she didn't even have time to think about how to dodge. She instinctively turned to her right.

bang!

Gunshots rang out, and revolver bullets pierced the glass curtain wall of the building, flying towards the ground.

The good news is that Catwoman did indeed instinctively dodge the bullet. The bad news is that the glass wall she used to support herself was shattered.

"what--!"

Even though the cat's body was light enough, a broken piece of glass was not enough to support her full weight. In just one second, the chipped glass was torn apart by the catwoman's weight. Without a sustenance, she cried out in alarm and plummeted to the ground from hundreds of meters in the air.

"Catwoman!"

Batman's urgent shout came through the headset, while Catwoman's scream stopped abruptly at the same time.

"Don't yell! Wait for me a moment!" she replied somewhat irritably. At the same time, the slender body in mid-air quickly adjusted its posture and swiftly searched for a foothold on the outer wall of the building below. As a top-notch thief, she had long been trained in this kind of thing, just as people often say: cats don't die from falling from buildings.

With two loud thuds, she grabbed onto a protruding windowsill with both hands, her high heels also getting stuck in the pipe, which greatly reduced her falling speed. However, the force of the fall was too great, almost tearing her arms apart, so she immediately let go and prepared to roll on the ground to dissipate the force—she had already calculated that if she fell like this, she would land on a rooftop, but her life would not be in danger.

However, she was still going to fall pretty badly. As she watched the ground loom larger and larger, Catwoman thought to herself, "Losing face in front of Batman is really annoying."

"Kite flyer, hurry!"

"arrive."

"Ok?"

The wind whistled past Catwoman's ears. She looked up in surprise and saw a huge green kite speeding towards her with jets of air. The kite-man had already caught up with her.

"catch!"

The kite flyer took out a string and threw it with all his might in her direction. The agile cat immediately grabbed the string and slowly descended to the rooftop with the kite.

"Since you can have the kite flyer standing by, why not just send it out to scout?"

“His kite is too big and too easy to spot. I’m worried the Joker might have a sniper rifle. You’re different; you’re an old hand and know how to hide yourself.”

Catwoman snorted; this time she hadn't hidden it well. "Bad news, Kite Man and Catwoman have teamed up. Of course, it's also possible he's simply trying to save someone."

The Riddler shrugged. "But I'm more inclined to believe another possibility: that someone has teamed up with the two of them—even though Batman hasn't shown up yet, everyone should be careful."

"Then how do we get in?"

"Here's the good news I have to share—the Joker has shown us with a single bullet that there are no traps or mechanisms on the building's exterior glass facade."

"Do we have to climb up?" Ma Zhaodi swallowed hard. "Boss, I'm a little afraid of heights."

"Fly up! You idiot! Fly up!" the Riddler roared, finally losing his temper. "Now get out there and follow the Firefly to get his spare flight devices. Be quick! Also, tell the rest of you not to go inside the building! We don't have any flight devices for them!"

"Oh"

Twenty minutes later, the clown in the building started to get impatient.

"When are these idiots going to stop?!" He slammed the gun back onto the table in frustration and stood up. "Can't we just end this boring farce already?!"

Clap!

Just then, the glass curtain wall behind him was suddenly shattered, and the howling wind from high above, along with shattered glass shards, blew into the room, causing him to stumble.

"Knock knock."

"Open the door—who is it?"

After reciting his lines like a mantra, the Joker steadied himself, straightened his suit, brushed the shards of glass off his clothes, and looked out the window.

Riddler, Poison Ivy, Mr. Zass, Firefly, and Bike Maker—five supervillains—stood in a row, while opposite them stood the Joker, all alone.

"Hmph." The clown snorted coldly, still looking unhappy. He glanced at the long table, where the revolver was only a few steps away, but the Riddler would never give him the chance to get his hands on it.

"What, aren't these two lines of dialogue funny?" The riddle teller gave him a triumphant smirk: "Shouldn't you be laughing?"

"roll!"

The clown roared and punched Nigma in the face, but the next second his right arm was grabbed. As the Riddler gradually increased the force, intense pain came from his arm.

"Sorry, maybe I didn't tell it well. You see, telling jokes isn't my strong suit—how about we play a riddle instead?"

While spouting trash talk, Nigma punched the Joker in the face, knocking him to the ground. At this moment, he had the upper hand completely.

Ma Zhaodi, who was standing nearby, immediately responded: "Great, I want to guess too!"

The riddle teller: "I thought about it carefully, but I'd better not."

He chased after him and kicked the clown twice more: "The war is over, clown, you're a loser."

"Oh, really? But I don't think so." The clown curled his lip. "How about looking out the window?"

The five people immediately turned around alertly. At that moment, a bat, a cat, and a kite-wielding man, each carrying a kite, flew straight into the building together.

A third force arrived on the battlefield at this moment.
