Starting from scratch, Batman crushed my dream of getting rich
Is Chapter 235 really over?
Is Chapter 235 really over?
P.S.: I was catching up on Constantine this morning, but I seem to have run out of time, so the second update might be a little later.
"It's over, Riddler."
Batman's declaration was resolute: "This city is scarred, and this war will end today."
"Instead of indulging in such unrealistic dreams, how about we solve a riddle?" the riddle teller scoffed. "Little Tommy is dead, there are food scraps on his lips, and his spine is broken—what happened?"
Batman didn't answer; he just stood there watching the Riddler.
"The answer is that Tommy is a little mouse, a little mouse trapped in a trap."
After the Riddler finished speaking, several more people suddenly flew in through the window and stood behind Batman and his two companions.
Solomon Grandi, Mr. Freeze, Crocodile, Two-Face, Deadshot, Deathstroke, and Man-Bat—a group of prisoners who were supposed to be locked up in Gotham City Police Department and ready to be transferred to Arkham Asylum—suddenly appeared. Clearly, the Riddler's mole within the police department had taken action.
“I’ve lost a lot of inside players, Batman, but it’s all worth it.” The Riddler smiled and bowed to Batman. “Do you really think I’d come to the Joker unprepared? Do you think I’d ignore those annoying bats that fly all day in Gotham? No, no, no. I have a lot of respect for you. I know all too well what you’re capable of—so I’ll use every means at my disposal to deal with you, and these guys are a special gift I’ve prepared for you.”
"Since you're so powerful, why don't you call everyone else back?" The clown lay on the ground, mercilessly reopening the Riddler's wounds: "I bet a few people are already unwilling to come and help you, aren't they? They know very well that you can't win this war."
"Fool." The Riddler returned the Joker's gaze with disdain. "Some people were taken away by Batman. If you could find them, you wouldn't be lying on the ground chattering away. As for me, I have enough cards in my hand to beat both of you."
“You’re right, it’s time to end this, Batman.” He sneered. “Today, there will only be one winner in this war. The Riddler will win Gotham City, and the Riddler will have the honor of killing Batman!”
He looked behind him and saw Crocodile Man reveal his claws, Mr. Freeze raise his freeze gun, and Deathstroke draw Batman's twin blades. Catwoman and Kite Man were suddenly surrounded and in dire straits, while the Joker was pinned to the ground by Two-Face, unable to move.
"As for you, Kite Man," he sneered, "a nobody, a bug that can be crushed with a single step. I can't even begin to see what the point of you coming here is—have you ever considered that Batman just called you here to be cannon fodder?"
The kite flyer clenched his fists.
“You laid a hand on my son,” he said. “That’s why I came to find you.”
"I'm going to beat you so badly your own mother wouldn't recognize you."
Well done, Ma Zhaodi thought to himself. We've come out of the Gotham battlefield amidst gunfire and explosions, we can't let ourselves down, keep our spirits up!
“Fool.” The Riddler handed his hat and cane to Poison Ivy, who was standing to the side, and strolled over to him with an air of nonchalance. “Don’t think I have the advantage in numbers. Even if I let you fight me one-on-one, you would only be sent to see the dead Charlie.”
"Or rather, you want me to do this?" "Bastard!"
The Kite Man charged angrily at the Riddler, but at that moment, Grandi, who was standing next to them, immediately reached out a pair of large hands and lifted Chuck up, no matter how much he struggled, it was all in vain.
But the Riddler waved his hand, signaling Grandi to put him down: "Let him rush over to see his son. What threat can the fist of such a weakling pose?"
At this moment, Batman and Catwoman were already tense and ready to act, but they were surrounded by Deathstroke, Deadshot, and Crocodile Man, making it impossible for them to make any rash moves, let alone help Kite Man.
When Solomon did as he was told and actually let the Kite Man down, the Riddler saw the anger in his eyes, but he didn't care. This guy was originally a very important part of his plan, but now he was completely irrelevant. His only value now was to leave Batman and Catwoman's side and be knocked to the ground by him as a bargaining chip to threaten the two of them.
Perhaps Catwoman wouldn't care whether he lives or dies, who knows? Anyway, doing this will definitely keep Batman in check.
So when the angry kite man swung his fist at Nigma, he smiled disdainfully. As he thought, the other party was just an inexperienced novice whose punching movements were completely amateurish, and whose footwork and balance control were also at a beginner level.
However, as far as he knew, Charlie Brown was just an ordinary aerodynamicist. In that respect, he seemed to have more combat knowledge than before. Did he have been trained by Batman?
Ha, that would be a disgrace to Batman.
He sneered, sidestepped, and easily dodged the opponent's slow punch. Then, he twisted his hips and waist, and delivered a powerful hook punch to the kite flyer's cheek. The opponent was also wearing a helmet, but the lower half of his face was still unprotected, so the punch was truly "flesh-on."
boom!
After a dull thud, the Kite Man fell to the ground. In Ma Zhaodi's eyes, the Riddler of this world at this point in time possessed advanced unarmed close combat skills; his powerful punches were enough to knock down an ordinary person in one blow, while the Kite Man at this moment was undoubtedly an ordinary person.
“You’re wearing armor, aren’t you?” The Riddler looked at the Kite Man who had fallen heavily to the ground, casually pulled off his helmet, and tossed it aside. “Your confidence comes from the new armor Batman made for you, right? You want me to treat this like your old rags and break my own fingers? Look at this new material, thin, flexible, and tough—but what can it actually do for you?”
“You’re too weak, Chuck. One punch and you’re done for, and you’ll never get up again.” The Riddler bent down, grabbed his hair, and grinned at him. “I didn’t even need to dodge your punch because he was too powerless, too weak.”
Boom!
Chuck's head was slammed hard onto the ground by the Riddler, and blood gushed from his mouth and nose. Moments later, he collapsed completely, seemingly in shock.
"boom!"
Meanwhile, Batman and Catwoman, having reached their limit, began to act simultaneously, attempting to move towards Chuck, but were blocked by the supervillains and found themselves in a fierce battle.
"So, that's it?" The Riddler shrugged. "Well, I shouldn't have had any expectations in the first place."
