Chapter 327 Shoot Your Lord

Zoe gradually recovered. She had just been stunned by the scene before her, and only now did she realize why her mother-in-law had sighed—these cultists were actually the poor people she had seen in the lower city.

Cultists—she only knew these people as madmen, synonyms for danger and madness, but she never wondered where they came from, as if weeds could grow out of the ground.

She clenched her teeth, trembling.

She was clearly the leader, but Connor and Erwin had been making decisions for her all along. Perhaps this was part of the lord's considerations, but since she was given the title of leader, she had to shoulder this responsibility.

Zoe forced down her emotions and looked around.

Most of Castel's people stayed in the mansion, with only Zoe ever coming to the lower town.

Everyone knew that the general direction was correct, but they couldn't determine exactly where they were going.

"This is near the barracks. It's the only place in the lower city that's relatively orderly. Several roads nearby lead to most parts of the lower city."

Erwin nodded: "Is it far from the docks?"

"It's not far, and it's on the way, but there are musketeers in the military camp ahead," the old woman continued, her voice tinged with worry.

If there was anything in Blood Harbor that posed a threat to them, it was the musketeers in the military camp.

No matter how many cult members there are, they are still just mortals. Their weak superhumans can handle ordinary people, but they are no match for Grandma.

But muskets are different; being hit by a musket bullet can be fatal.

Whether it's a bolt-action rifle or a rifled rifle, they are essentially just better bullet launchers. No matter how sophisticated the equipment of the Christian Guard is, it can't withstand bullets.

The muskets used by the Hong Kong Guards were not very accurate, but as long as there were enough people, accuracy became less important.

Even a mother-in-law, in her physical form, couldn't withstand a volley of musket fire.

For these Castel people, the most dangerous thing about Blood Harbor was not the cultists, but the harbor guards at the front.

Erwin gestured to the surrounding Guardians of the Faith, and their group gradually slowed down.

"Your Highness William, it seems we've taken the wrong turn! This isn't the way to the docks!"

"Erwin shouted."

The prince glanced back at them, but did not slow down. He rode his horse toward the camp and replied, "Please wait a moment at the gate. These are my men. I will call out some more guards."

Erwin and Connor exchanged a glance and frowned.

The prince's statement seemed to have no problem.

The military camp didn't have city walls, but rather a wooden fence, or rather, a taller fence.

There's absolutely no way anyone could stand up there. The firing range of the muskets is actually quite short. If they just waited at the door, there wouldn't be any risk. Even if the prince went mad and tried to attack them, the musketeers would have enough time to regroup and they could leave at their leisure.

Moreover, there are very few cultists here. The believers of the Mother Goddess Church should also know that this place is tough, so they did not choose to surround it.

Erwin and his mother-in-law spoke a few words in a low voice. Erwin nodded, then his expression became somewhat blank, and he remained motionless on his horse.

The Guardsmen spread out slightly, taking up positions at various intersections. Erwin frowned, watching the prince and his men rush towards the military camp. Why did it look like they were on a...charge?

The military camp did not open its gates for a long time. The soldiers on the watchtower shouted something, but the prince paid no attention.

The warhorses were accelerating almost continuously, and a moment later they rushed to the gate of the military camp. At the forefront, Galahad stepped off his horse, grabbed his sword, and leaped into the air, throwing the greatsword toward the gate of the military camp!

The greatsword spun and cleaved through the gate that blocked it, and Galahad, clad in heavy armor, fell from the sky and crashed into the gate.

A cloud of dust rose as the gate was blasted into the military camp, followed by the stomp of an iron boot.

Connor and Erwin exchanged a shocked glance. Galahad's actions were definitely not something an ordinary person could do; he was a superhuman!

The camp gate was not a defensive fortification. After Galahad blasted it open, the knights rushed in. An officer and several soldiers were standing at the camp gate.

The knights who rushed in did not hesitate to kill the soldiers who blocked their way, and then drew their muskets and fired at the officers at the door.

At face-to-face distance, even a smoothbore gun wouldn't miss; several bloody holes appeared on the man's body, and he fell down.

The group rushed forward extremely quickly, without stopping at all. Before the soldiers in the camp could react, they had already reached the interior.

Members of the Hong Kong Guard were emerging from the various buildings, bewildered. They had heard gunshots and had come out to investigate.

The prince ripped off his helmet and tossed it aside, his thick, golden curls fluttering in the wind.

"Soldiers, this is William, Grand Duke Tiss! Your commander, Rad, has betrayed us!"

The surrounding soldiers were still bewildered. They had only received orders to hold their ground today. Rad ordered the camp to be sealed off and strictly prohibited anyone from leaving.

The soldiers didn't react in time, but the officer who had just come out had a contorted face. The group of soldiers guarding the camp gate were naturally his own men, who were now lying on the ground covered in blood, completely unable to stop the prince.

Rad's plan was perfect. He didn't need to do much. As long as he appeared a little later in the rebellion of the Mother Goddess of Life, the small number of troops in the upper city would not be able to hold out for long.

As for how the Church of the Mother of Life breached the city walls of the Upper City, the Port Guard happened to have lost a batch of equipment.

To prevent any unforeseen complications, he directly forbade the soldiers from going out. The Church of the Mother Goddess would cooperate, and there would be no cultists here. Even if the soldiers were strange, they wouldn't cause any problems in the short term. In just half a day, the priests of the Church of the Mother Goddess would be able to lead their followers to break through the upper city!
Who would have thought that the prince would lead his men straight over as soon as the rebellion broke out?! Shouldn't he have waited for reinforcements?! Or at least observed the situation first?

And how did they manage to break through the encirclement of the Church of the Mother Goddess? Are those cultists just sitting around doing nothing?

Unfortunately, the situation left him no room for thought.

"Grab the gun! Quick, he, he's an imposter! Kill him!" Rad screamed, pointing at the prince.

The Hong Kong guards instinctively raised their guns.

The prince, mounted on his horse, glanced at the soldiers of the harbor guards.

He had been here many times; the soldiers remembered his sharply defined features, as if carved by a knife and axe. Now, he roared at them:

"Fire?! Come on! Fire at your lord!!"

The soldiers were startled, but their minds cleared somewhat. They looked at the prince, who was riding a horse and looking down at the surroundings with an air of superiority, and then at Rad, who was pale-faced and trembling. Suspicion gradually rose on their faces.
