Just as it was about to hit Wes, Wes used Apparition to dodge the attack.
The giant ape's fist smashed a deep hole in the ground. Although it didn't hit Weiss, it forced him back.
The giant ape reached out and grabbed Toby, then jumped back to Leon's side.
Leon was alertly searching for Weiss.
"I mean no harm." A calm voice suddenly came from behind Leon. Wes had already circled behind him without him knowing.
[How did he get behind me? He must have used space magic.]
Leon felt a sense of unease. Not only did the enemy possess the black flames that could restrain his power, but they were also proficient in spatial magic. This meant that the initiative was completely in their hands, and he was at a disadvantage.
Despite his confidence, Leon was not a reckless person. He knew that he alone could not keep Weiss.
So he prepared to send out a signal to call other partners for support.
It was just because his movements were too obvious that Wes caught them immediately.
In order to show his sincerity, Weiss waved his hand lightly, and the fire tornado that originally surrounded him instantly dissipated into the air and turned into nothingness.
This scene made Leon and Toby look shocked.
Facing the two's confusion and vigilance, Weiss simply shrugged and showed a relaxed smile: "I said, I mean no harm."
Leon stared at Weiss, trying to analyze any flaws in his words.
"Who are you?" he asked again warily.
"Just a curious magician," Weiss answered lightly.
Even though Weiss had lifted the spell and made his intentions known, the cautious Leon did not let his guard down.
He did not remove the magical protection around him, the two creatures made of ice.
A huge ice phoenix and a burly ice ape were still quietly guarding his two sides, ready to deal with any possible danger at any time.
Leon looked at Wes with eyes still full of doubt, he still didn't believe what Wes said.
If Weiss knew that they had lifted the seal on Deliora, the consequences would be disastrous.
Weiss seemed to see through his concerns, smiled slightly, and asked, "Are you Uru's disciple?"
Leon's heartbeat suddenly accelerated, and he immediately asked Weiss: "How do you know?"
"This level of ice shaping magic is only mastered by Uru, who sealed Deliora. It is said that there were two young men who followed her to learn magic. One of them was Gray from Fairy Tail, and the other was you, right?"
Leon didn't expect that Wes actually knew this history, and he was lost in memories for a moment.
His mind flashed back to the warm and challenging times when he practiced with Ulu. He missed Ulu's kind smile and the countless days and nights he spent with Gray deeply.
"Uru, Gray..." Hearing these two familiar names, Leon seemed to have returned to that carefree era.
Weiss noticed that Leon's eyes had softened considerably, and he began to make up a story. "It seems that the people whose homes were destroyed by Deliora have been looking for a way to kill it once and for all. Although these people were very cautious, I still managed to get some information."
"I don't want to miss such an interesting thing," Weiss said with a mocking smile. "Uru, who possessed the power of the 'Ten Holy Mages', paid the price of his life to seal the wreaking havoc on Deliora. These people actually want to kill this demon. Haha..."
Weiss, who knew the subsequent plot, thought these people's plan was child's play. Using the Moon Drop to remove the seal, they actually wanted Leon to fight Deliora alone, because Leon believed that his strength had surpassed Uru.
Weiss couldn't help but complain in his heart: "If you are sick, go see a doctor. Paranoia is also a disease."
Leon understood the hidden meaning of Weiss's words and was furious. He clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles turned white. "Asshole, stop looking down on me!"
At this moment, Leon was like a middle school boy. He slapped his chest and shouted, "My strength has surpassed Uru. I will deal with the demons that Uru can't solve!"
"That's right, woof!" Toby said beside him, "Leon is very powerful."
"Really?" Weiss said, "I don't believe it. After all, he can't even deal with a nobody like me."
Toby turned his head suddenly and roared fiercely: "Bastard, I'll kill you." His teeth were grinding, as if he was going to pounce on Wes in the next second.
Leon was unexpectedly calm: "Indeed, I really can't get rid of you."
"Leon?" Toby looked at him in surprise. He didn't expect that the proud Leon would say that.
Leon changed the subject, his tone carrying a hint of seriousness: “Although I have never heard of your name, your strength is rare to see.”
Weiss shrugged, muttering to himself, "You're just too ignorant."
"Your black flame is the legendary lost magic, that's why it has such strong power." Leon analyzed seriously, as if trying to convince himself and the people around him.
"So that's how it is." Toby was a qualified supporting actor, never letting Leon's words fall to the ground. He nodded, "Yes, this kind of power is indeed very rare."
Weiss's eyes moved slightly. His strength was enough to attract the attention of these people, but he didn't want to explain the principles in detail.
"You don't seem to be a wizard from the Guild of Light." Leon asked tentatively.
"I'm not a member of any guild, nor am I a member of the Magic Council," Weiss emphasized again, "I'm just an ordinary wizard obsessed with magic."
"Really?" Leon asked doubtfully.
He looked at Weiss carefully again, however, Weiss's eyes were calm and composed, without any flaws.
Weiss suddenly proposed a plan: "You can't do anything to me, and you don't want to let me go and reveal the secrets here. How about letting me join you?"
Toby was the first to object, "What a joke! Who wants to accept a guy with unknown origins?"
"You have all seen my strength. With my help, your plan will proceed smoothly."
Leon was silent for a moment, weighing the pros and cons in his mind.
Weiss's strength should not be underestimated. If they can gain such a powerful ally, it will undoubtedly be of great help to their plans.
But on the other hand, he also knew that the stranger's motives were unclear and accepting it rashly might bring unpredictable risks.
"Even without you, our plan will succeed." Leon finally spoke after thinking for a moment, but he also clearly felt the turmoil in his heart.
"Will it really go smoothly? I heard that the residents here have already issued a commission to Fairy Tail, and the rank is S."
