Chapter 43 Christmas Day

The next morning, the sun brushed gently across every corner of the burial grounds like gentle fingers, and golden light shone through the windows onto the slightly mottled floor.

At this warm call, Weiss stretched and slowly walked from the upstairs room to the first floor.

At this time, Molly was busy preparing breakfast in the kitchen, her figure moving back and forth in the kitchen tirelessly.

The eggs on the frying pan are making an enticing sizzling sound, the bread is gradually turning golden in the toaster, and the whole kitchen is filled with the aroma of breakfast.

Arthur was wearing pajamas, sitting leisurely at the dining table with a cup of steaming coffee on the table. He was reading the Daily Prophet attentively.

"Good morning," Weiss greeted with a smile.

His voice was clear and bright, breaking the silence of the early morning.

Arthur raised his head with a smile in his eyes. He asked with concern, "How did you sleep last night?"

"Very good." Weiss had a satisfied smile on his face, and it was obvious that a good night's sleep made him refreshed.

Molly heard their conversation and brought a cup of coffee from the kitchen to Weiss, saying, "Wait a moment, breakfast will be ready soon."

After saying that, she returned to the kitchen and continued to work.

As a mother of seven children, Molly is as busy as fighting a war during holidays.

Not only does she make sure every child has a good breakfast, but she also ensures their daily needs are met, while also arranging various festive activities to make the holidays for this big family full of joy and warmth.

However, with Zhan Di's help, Molly felt much more relaxed.

Zhan Di always helped silently, cleaning the room and preparing food, so that Molly could take a break.

After breakfast was ready, Molly began to get each child out of bed.

But this time it wasn't so gentle.

"Ron! How long are you going to sleep?!"

"And you, Fred and George, get up quickly!"

Molly's voice echoed through the stairwell of the Burrow, breaking the morning silence.

"Okay, Mom." The twins' voices came from the other room, a little sleepy.

Christmas at the Burrow began in such a noisy and busy atmosphere.

After breakfast, Arthur took the twin brothers and Ron to the shed to start their festive activities.

Percy, the child who always liked to study and explore alone, hid in his room after dinner, looking mysterious and no one knew what he was busy with.

"Kids, we have to hurry up and decorate the Christmas tree before lunch." Arthur stood in front of an evergreen tree with tools, ready to trim it.

Although the twin brothers were not very interested in decorating the Christmas tree, they still stood aside, occasionally exchanging a mischievous look, as if they were planning some prank.

Ron obediently helped his father. He took a pair of small scissors and tape and carefully trimmed the branches and arranged the decorations according to Arthur's instructions.

"Is there anything I can do?" Wes had nothing to do in the room, so he came over to see if there was anything he could do to help.

Although the shed was simple, it was not small and was filled with various materials and tools.

Arthur said very proudly: "Don't underestimate this place, many things in the house are made by me."

"Ron's bed, yes," said Fred.

"Dining table." George said immediately. The tacit cooperation between the two made the atmosphere in the shed a lot more relaxed.

Arthur's salary was not high, and he had to raise so many children, so he didn't have much money.

Many things in the house were broken, and he would repair them and continue to use them.

Over time, Arthur's skills improved, and the shed contained more and more things.

"No wonder you were able to build your own flying car, Arthur."

Wes was deeply impressed by Arthur's creativity and hands-on ability.

"Of course, you have to know that back then..." Arthur's eyebrows immediately lit up when he mentioned the flying car.

He talked incessantly about the process of transforming the flying car and completely forgot about the Christmas tree.

Only after Ron's reminder did Arthur come to his senses and continue trimming the Christmas tree. However, once the conversation started, it was impossible to stop. Arthur and Wes talked more and more enthusiastically about flying cars, and even the twins were attracted by their topic and joined in.

Ron couldn't get a word in and sulked on the side, feeling left out.

It was not until Molly came to urge them that they realized it was already lunch time.

In the afternoon, everyone started decorating the Burrow. The power of magic made the decoration work easy and fun for the whole family.

Children and adults sat together, gently waving the magic wands in their hands, and the sparkling decorations seemed to be given life, automatically flying to where they should go, hanging on the walls, windows or roofs, adding a festive atmosphere to the home.

It didn't take long before the entire Burrow was decorated with a Christmas atmosphere.

Weiss took out a long string of colored lights and wrapped it around the outside of the Burrow.

When night falls, these colorful lights begin to twinkle, decorating the Burrow like a magical cottage in a fairy tale. The colorful lights dance in the darkness, adding a touch of warmth and romance to the night.

"It would be nice if there were fireworks." Ginny looked at the beautifully decorated Burrow, her eyes flashing with desire for fireworks.

The beauty and splendor of magic fireworks are the dream of every child, but because of the high price, they rarely have the opportunity to see them with their own eyes.

The other children were also a little disappointed. They imagined that the night would be even more perfect if there were fireworks.

At this time, Zhan Di came over staggeringly holding a box that was taller than it, which was full of fireworks.

"How can we miss fireworks at a time like this?" Wes said with a smile.

He lit a firework, and it rushed into the sky and exploded instantly, revealing a vivid reindeer pattern running in the sky.

The children's eyes were filled with surprise and joy. They cheered and jumped, as if they were flying into the sky with the fireworks.

"These are all yours." Weiss said generously, pointing to the remaining fireworks in the box.

"Really?" Although the children couldn't wait, they still politely asked their parents' opinions.

Mr. and Mrs. Weasley certainly wouldn't spoil the fun for the children. They smiled and said, "What are you waiting for?"

"Great!" The children cheered and picked out their favorite fireworks.

Wes bought a lot of fireworks, enough for them to play with.

Patterns appeared one after another in the sky, including flowers, stars, animals, and so on.

The brilliant fireworks bloomed in the night sky, and the children's laughter and joyful shouts echoed in the air. This one-hour fireworks feast became an unforgettable memory for the Weasley family.

The children had a great time, and even Mr. and Mrs. Weasley regained their childishness and played with the children, as if they had returned to their own childhood.

The next morning, the Weasley family received the gift that Wes had carefully prepared.

Ron got a jar of candy from Honeydukes Candy Store. He couldn't wait to open the jar, took out a candy and put it in his mouth with a satisfied smile on his face.

Ginny received a set of magic toys, similar to Barbie dolls. She happily hugged the toys and couldn't let them go.

Percy was given a beautiful quill, and he stroked the pen body with cherishment.

When the twin brothers received Wes's alchemy notes, they felt like they had found a treasure. They couldn't wait to open the notes and read them carefully.

Molly got brand new kitchen utensils. She looked at Wes with gratitude, her heart filled with warmth.

Arthur's was a toolbox from the Muggle world, containing tools such as wrenches.

He held the toolbox happily, imagining that he could make more things with these tools.

Everyone loved Wes's gift.

Wes's gift was a scarf knitted by Molly herself. Wes put it around his neck and felt very comfortable.

The scarf is soft and warm, as if carrying the love and blessings of Molly's family.

After lunch, Wes said goodbye to this lovely family. Despite the Weasley family's warm requests to stay, Wes decided to leave.

He knew that he had been bothering them for a few days and didn't want to disturb the family reunion any further.

After this rare warmth, Weiss plunged into the world of magic again.

He knew that he had many things to deal with and could not continue to indulge in this short-lived joy.
