Chapter 45 Island
In Wes's mind, the words "Pirates of the Caribbean~~" swept in like waves, instantly outlining a vivid image.

A pirate with a raised index finger, smoky makeup on his face, and dressed in the unruly style of a rock singer.

This image is none other than the famous Captain Jacksboro, who is undoubtedly the most dazzling protagonist in the legendary story of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Captain Jacksboro's life was full of adventures. He bravely traveled across the rough seas and never backed down in the face of various dangers and challenges.

"Is there a way in this world to resolve the wronged souls in the Philosopher's Stone?"

After experiencing several strange time travels, Wes began to realize that although the mysterious panel did not provide tasks and rewards, each time a new world appeared, it seemed to contain clues to solving his current dilemma.

He didn't plan to act rashly. After all, the school year wasn't over yet, and there was no telling how long this trip to the world of Pirates of the Caribbean would take.

He decided to wait until summer vacation to set off.

Moreover, before setting off, he needs to make some adequate preparations.

After all, Wes knew nothing about sailing.

Weiss came to the library, his eyes wandering between the bookshelves, his fingers gently sliding over each precious book on navigation. He intently flipped through the ancient nautical charts and logs, as if he could glimpse the secrets of the deep sea from them.

Because Weiss dealt with the basilisk in advance, Hogwarts seemed to be shrouded in a veil of tranquility after that, and no other strange things happened.

But Lockhart continued to create waves in this tranquility.

Those things could cause some small waves at first, but people soon discovered that these things not only did not further enhance his popularity, but instead were like lifting a gorgeous curtain, exposing his essential characteristics of being all show and no substance.

As the last batch of students reluctantly left Hogwarts, the lazy atmosphere of summer vacation quietly arrived.

At this time, Wes embarked on a new adventure with full of expectations.
-
The surroundings were shrouded in deep night, as if the whole world was dyed black by ink.

The sea breeze blew gently, bringing with it the salty smell of the sea. In the distance, the waves beat against the shore, making a low and powerful rhythm, like an ancient ballad, telling the mystery and power of the sea.

The bright moon hangs high in the velvet-like deep sky, and the moonlight falls as softly as water on the sparkling sea, as if covering the sea with a layer of silver gauze.

"This is..." Weiss narrowed his eyes slightly and carefully looked at the surrounding environment, "An island??"

He muttered to himself, feeling both excited and nervous. In this vast ocean, every island could be the starting point of an adventure, and such islands were as numerous as the stars.

"Let's first confirm where this place is. I hope it's not an uninhabited island." Weiss murmured softly, then cast a levitation spell.

His body slowly rose and floated lightly in the air, like a nocturnal owl, silently patrolling the surroundings.

In the north of the island, a faint light appears and disappears in the night, like a guide from a distant lighthouse.

"Just go there and get some information."

Weiss made up his mind, he adjusted his direction and slowly floated towards the light.

When Weiss's feet were back on the ground, the muddy road beneath his feet made him frown slightly.

The surrounding houses stood crookedly, one next to the other, like forgotten toys thrown away casually on this desolate land.

Moreover, Wes saw several corpses lying around a corner not far away.

The corpse gave off a foul stench, and the pungent smell filled the air.

[It seems this is not a good place] Weiss thought to himself.

He took a deep breath and decided to move on to find the source of the light.

As he approached the light, he realized it was coming from the window of a small wooden house. Before he even got close, Weiss was surrounded by a series of noises: men cheering, rude curses, fierce fighting, and even the occasional sharp echo of gunfire.

"Captain Hook", when Wes saw the sign hanging in front of the dilapidated wooden house, his heart moved and he vaguely guessed where he was - this was a pirate's lair.

This is a safe haven for sea plunderers to sell stolen goods, have fun, and avoid being hunted by the navy.

Weiss's mouth corners lifted slightly, revealing a sly smile: "It's a good opportunity to find out some information.

These pirates roam the sea all year round and are well-informed.

Wes believed that these "hospitable" pirates would give him a satisfactory answer.

He reached out and gently pushed open the door of the bar, deliberately making it creak to attract the attention of those inside.

The pirates who were playing cards, drinking, and flirting with the female pirates stopped what they were doing and turned their eyes to the gate.

"Good evening, everyone." Wes walked in calmly under the curious or vigilant gazes of all the pirates.

The pirates began to look Wes up and down.

"The robe he's wearing is probably worth dozens of silver coins." A one-eyed pirate spoke first.

"This guy's skin is softer than a fucking woman's." Another pirate muttered with a hint of contempt in his tone.

"It's obvious that he's a young nobleman who ran away from home." Another pirate said confidently.

Several pirates looked at Wes as if they saw a fat sheep, staring at him greedily, as if every item on him was a priceless treasure.

But more pirates remained calm.

"This place is far from the mainland. This person must have something to rely on to be able to arrive here unharmed."

An old pirate with wrinkled face and sharp eyes whispered.

"Don't underestimate anyone who ventures into the sea." Another pirate echoed and nodded slightly. He looked at Wes, as if looking for some clues.

"Especially one who can keep himself clean at sea." A shrewd pirate added with a meaningful smile on his face.

These experienced pirates saw that Wes was extraordinary. They knew that in this ruthless sea, easily provoking trouble often meant disaster.

As for those pirates who lack foresight, in their view, death is just the norm on the sea and not worth making a fuss about.

Weiss came to the bar. Although the table and stools were stained, he didn't show any disgust. He sat firmly in the chair and said calmly, "Boss, I want to ask about someone."

The boss behind the bar, a burly man with a scar on his face and an expressionless face, glanced at Wes, then continued to wipe the cup in his hand, as if he didn't hear what Wes said.

"Look at me, I almost forgot the rules." Wes chuckled softly, and suddenly there was a gold coin in his hand.

Under the dim light, the gold coin shines with an alluring light, like a bright star, attracting everyone's attention.

Those eyes were filled with undisguised greed and ill intentions, as if a group of hungry wolves had spotted their prey.

However, Wes seemed not to notice the gazes of these people. He threw the gold coins to the boss as if no one was around.

The gold coin drew a golden arc in the air and landed precisely in the boss's rough palm.

As soon as the boss got the coin, he judged from its weight and texture that it was a real gold coin of high quality.
