Chapter 61 Get the Map
"Hey, guys, this is not the place to quarrel." Weiss warned loudly with a serious face.

At this moment, more and more students were attracted by the movement here and gathered in the corridor, watching curiously. Especially when Draco and several of his Slytherin companions appeared, Harry felt a sense of urgency in his heart.

He didn't want Hermione and Ron to become the objects of Draco's ridicule, so he quickly pulled them away.

Even though Hermione and Ron were still arguing and feeling sullen, they didn't want to embarrass themselves in front of Draco and give him something to talk about.

So they reluctantly followed Harry down the corridor.

Seeing that there was nothing exciting to watch, the students gradually dispersed.

Weiss watched them go away and said to himself, "I have to find a suitable opportunity to reveal Pettigrew's identity."

Weiss sat at his desk, turning the parchment in his hand over and over, looking at it carefully. The parchment looked ordinary, but Weiss could feel the magical power contained in it.

The twin brothers looked at Wes with smugness on their faces, thinking that if even Wes couldn't unlock the secret of the map, they would be able to show off in front of the professor.

"Professor, what do you think? I'm afraid even you can't figure out the secret of this map." Fred gave Wes a provocative and extremely confident smile.

"It took us a lot of effort to activate it," George agreed.

Weiss's face was expressionless as he spread the parchment flat on the table. He extended his index finger and gently touched it, his fingertip seemingly sensing the subtle magical fluctuations in the air. Then, he whispered the incantation: "Reveal your true form."

As he finished speaking, the originally blank surface of the parchment began to glow faintly, and tiny words began to gradually emerge. Those words seemed unwilling to give in easily, appearing and disappearing on the paper, as if they were fighting against Weiss.

Weiss felt a strong magical resistance, and he focused his mind, concentrating it into an even more powerful force.

The words on the parchment became clearer and clearer, and what came into view was a detailed map. The map was covered with densely packed small footprints, and the name of the corresponding person was marked next to each footprint.

Wes carefully examined the magical map and soon found his office on it. He also saw his own name and the twins' names, which updated their locations in real time as the characters moved.

This map can accurately show the location of everyone in Hogwarts. The regular areas in the castle, such as rooms, corridors, stairs, classrooms, halls, as well as secret passages and hidden rooms that many people don't know about, are also clearly presented on the map.

Turning to the back of the map, Weiss found a line of signatures in different handwritings: Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs—four strange nicknames.

The twin brothers' eyes widened. They had never expected that Weiss could crack the secret of the map so easily. Originally, they thought that even several other knowledgeable professors would find it difficult to crack the secret of this map.

"The map is very cleverly designed," Weiss explained to the twins as he continued to study it. "However, the creator was too weak at the time. With enough magic power, a magical item like this could be easily deciphered."

"Hey, see, George, I told you Professor Irwin could definitely do it!" Fred said admiringly.

"It's incredible! The four seniors are so amazing that they can make such an amazing prop. They are simply our role models." George stared at the parchment, and you could almost see little stars twinkling in his eyes.

The mischievous twins idolize the Marauders (Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black, and James Potter).

They hope that one day they can create amazing magic props like these four seniors.

"Professor, your alchemy notes have given us a lot of inspiration," Fred said, his words filled with a thirst for knowledge as he expressed his innermost dream. "We also want to create magical props of this level, as magical as this Marauder's Map."

"But no matter how many methods we tried, even staying up all night researching, the result was failure."

George slumped his shoulders, his brow furrowed, a hint of resignation in his voice. Every failure reminded them of the gap between them and their idol. The four predecessors had created the Marauder's Map from scratch, while the twins couldn't replicate it even if they tried to imitate the original. This was a huge blow to them.

But this wasn't because the twins were less talented than the Marauders. After all, both the Potter and Black families had centuries of history. James and Sirius had been exposed to alchemy since childhood and had received guidance from their family elders, while the twins had to rely on themselves to constantly explore and move forward.

Weiss understood their feelings, so he gently comforted the twins and then began to explain the magical knowledge used in the Marauder's Map. He used easy-to-understand language to analyze the magical principles and production techniques behind the map, which benefited the twins greatly.

Time passed by unnoticed, and when bedtime approached, the twins still didn't want to leave.

"You don't want to be caught by Filch, do you? We'll continue tomorrow. By the way, how about lending me this map for a few days?"

"No problem, professor. We already know all the secret passages and hidden rooms on the map by heart." The twin brothers agreed readily.

After the twin brothers left, the office became quiet again.

Wes stared at the name "Peter Pettigrew" marked next to Ron on the map, and seemed to think of something.

The next morning, a sudden chaos broke out in Harry and Ron's dormitory, and the scene was so chaotic that it could only be described as a scene of chaos.

Ron's eyes widened, his face flushed crimson, and he was seething with rage. "When on earth did this damned stupid cat get in here?" he yelled, his voice echoing through the small dormitory, as he frantically tried to drive Crookshanks out with a pillow.

The big ginger cat dodged Ron's every attack with extraordinary agility.

At this time, Banban's small body was trembling. It ran around the dormitory, its small claws making rapid "tapping" sounds on the floor, trying its best to avoid Crookshanks' capture.

Finally, at the most critical moment, Banban seized a tiny opportunity and rushed out from the crack of the door like a flash of lightning.

Seeing this, Crookshanks immediately chased after him without hesitation and quickly disappeared at the end of the corridor.

"Why does this ugly cat always refuse to let Scabbers go? Hermione must have told it to do so." Ron angrily got up from the bed, his hair disheveled and his pajamas askew.

There was anger burning in his eyes, and he looked like he was going to find Hermione to ask for an explanation.

Harry looked at Ron and could only throw up his hands helplessly. "When will this ever end?"

Although Crookshanks usually behaves very intelligently, being able to keenly perceive the movements around him and having excellent hunting instincts, he is still slightly inferior when facing a cunning opponent like Peter Pettigrew.

Peter Pettigrew relied on his cunning to escape from Crookshanks' pursuit time and time again. This time, Peter Pettigrew finally succeeded in escaping.

Crookshanks stood there, sniffing the air carefully, his nose twitching slightly, trying to find any trace of Peter Pettigrew.

However, no clues were left in the air.

It meowed unwillingly a few times, then shook its tail helplessly and left the scene.

However, there are others besides Peter Pettigrew who are equally cunning.

Weiss used the Disillusionment Charm and followed Crookshanks silently. Under the effect of his magic, his figure became looming.
