The Lord of the Laws of Heaven

Chapter 40: Zhouyi Cantongqi

Chapter 40: Zhouyi Cantongqi

Having a clear idea in mind can only solve the problem of thoughts, but it still cannot explain where the mental strength comes from and how to recover it.

"Although I have comprehended the principles in my heart, I have not yet made profound use of them."

"We need to take this knowing-in-mind a step further. If we understand the general framework of knowing-in-mind, then the next step is to comprehend the inner laws of knowing-in-mind."

"To have a clear mind, the first step is to understand the mind, and the second step is mathematics. Use mathematics to calculate the laws contained within the mind and thoughts, and then use these laws to transform the structure of your mind and thoughts, so that your thinking ability can be continuously upgraded."

"It's a pity that I haven't opened the Star Map and connected it to the calculation matrix yet. If I use the calculation matrix to calculate the mystery of my thoughts, I will be able to do it quickly."

Xiao Jun began to read the book in his hand. The word "Yi" was written on the cover of the book. It contained mysteries such as hexagrams, hexagram texts, line texts, and Yi Zhuan. It focused on images, numbers, and principles.

The source of the Yi is the Eight Trigrams, created by Fuxi. The Eight Trigrams are not, in fact, mysterious and mysterious. Originally, they were symbols for calculating celestial time. In ancient times, Fuxi created various things and initiated the practice of planting and breeding, essentially marking the beginning of agriculture.

Farming requires understanding the timing of the weather, with the yang line representing the sun and the yin line representing the moon. The interaction of yin and yang represents the changing weather, expressed using hexagrams. Mastering the timing led to mastering farming, and only then did humankind truly develop an agricultural civilization.

Later, Shennong comprehended the Lianshan Divine Art, and Huangdi the Guizang Divine Art. As time and civilization progressed, the hexagrams became more detailed. They also began to use the hexagrams to calculate the earth's weather, reflecting the time of day and the advantages of the terrain. Using the hexagrams to calculate heaven and earth meant mastering the time of day and the advantages of the terrain.

Agricultural civilization has mastered the advantages of time and place, which means it has mastered productivity. With strong productivity, the tribe will become more and more powerful.

However, as the tide of time rolled forward, human civilization began to evolve continuously, and the division of labor in society became increasingly complex. So King Wen of Zhou began to use hexagrams to describe humanity, and used hexagram and line statements to make the hexagrams more precise.

At this point, the Zhouyi was born, calculating the myriad phenomena of the three realms of heaven, earth, and man, and encompassing everything. Hence, it is called the Zhouyi. The word "Zhou" means comprehensive, meaning all-encompassing change.

Once the framework of the Yi Dao was established, subsequent generations continued to delve deeper into its system. Since Confucius, the Yi Jing has spread widely, enabling many to comprehend and understand it. From the Eight Trigrams to the Zhou Yi, it has accrued countless wisdoms along with the flow of humanity.

On Earth, countless great minds have used the principles of the I Ching to comprehend the mysteries of medicine, inner alchemy, divination, and more. However, in this world of the "Sage of Confucianism and Taoism," since the birth of Confucius, the I Ching has become merely a doctrine for understanding truth and cultivating the mind. Its practical value has been lost, which is truly a pity.

But for this world, scholars really only need to cultivate their character, develop their talents, and eventually master their talents and gain great power.

With talent, they are free from all diseases, have a strong body, and prolong their lifespan, so many medical and inner alchemy theories are meaningless. Moreover, their spiritual consciousness is extremely powerful, and the extraordinary thinking ability brought by their powerful spiritual consciousness makes them completely unnecessary for divination.

Studying the I Ching now is all about understanding its "images, numbers, and principles." Using the I Ching to calculate the imagery of one's own thoughts and mental energy, one must also comprehend theories like the Zhouyi Cantongqi within one's mind, using the numerology of the I Ching to calculate the changes in one's own life.

"The Eight Trigrams were originally a tool for calculating the weather, and then this tool was used to calculate the advantages of geography and human harmony. To put it bluntly, the I Ching is essentially a form of mathematics. My mind is filled with mathematical knowledge, which is integrated into the I Ching to help me analyze the mysteries of wisdom and life."

Xiao Jun is now mainly studying the "Zhouyi Cantongqi". In this world, he comprehends the way of inner alchemy, integrating the art of cultivating vital energy and medical skills. Xiao Jun intends to comprehend the vital energy of the human body.

There are Yin Qi, Yang Qi, Ying Qi, Wei Qi, Fire Qi, Damp Qi, Evil Qi, and Miscellaneous Qi inside the human body... All of these Qi mechanisms inside the human body are transformed from Yuan Qi. These various Qi mechanisms can be expressed using hexagrams, and then the mysteries contained therein can be calculated.

"The Zhouyi Cantongqi essentially describes the internal life cycle of the human body, using hexagrams to describe the changes in life. It just so happens that the fourth step of my medical skills also involves analyzing life changes, so we could work together."

……

For the next few months, Xiao Jun used the principles of the Book of Changes to calculate the internal Qi of the human body, and used the Zhouyi Cantongqi to circulate the Qi in his body, whether he was walking, sitting, standing or lying down.

The essence of the Zhouyi Cantongqi is that the human body possesses two energies, Kan and Li, which are like water and fire, and the human body is like a furnace. Different levels of fire and water within the body can produce completely different qi.

If the Kan and Li Qi are neutral, they will produce the Qian Yang Yuan Qi and Kun Yuan Jing Shui Qi, which can prevent the body from all diseases and make the body and mind at peace.

If the fire is not at the right temperature, excess moisture will accumulate; if the fire is too strong, dryness will develop. If the fire and water levels are insufficient, external pathogens will invade and generate negative qi. These will damage a person's vital energy and shorten their lifespan.

According to Taoist scriptures, everyone's lifespan is essentially 150 years, but due to the continuous loss of vital energy after birth, lifespan is greatly reduced. As a result, many people do not live to be over 100 years old.

Xiao Jun's continuous comprehension of the Zhouyi Cantongqi has allowed him to gain a deeper understanding of the human body and medical skills. If he could now connect to the star map, Xiao Jun's current achievements would be sufficient, but he did not forget that he came to this world to comprehend talent.

Looking at the I Ching before him, Xiao Jun flipped through it again and again, trying to comprehend its mysteries. As he read, he used the myriad changes in the human body to understand the Dao of I Ching.

Suddenly, Xiao Jun felt an extreme fatigue, and a foul heat in his head, which made him sleepy. This sleepiness was caused by changes in one's thoughts and the changes in one's Qi.

He couldn't help but yawn, opened his mouth wide to swallow a stream of fresh air, exhaled the foul air, and his mind became clear again.

In this world, Xiao Jun never had the opportunity to create the Marrow Cleansing Pills, which could clear the body's impure Qi and thoughts, allowing the mind to remain in an extremely clear state. Therefore, Xiao Jun could only constantly cleanse his mind and vitality through meditation, which was extremely time-consuming.

He continued to look at the "Book of Changes" in front of him, and began to comprehend the changes in the vital energy. He lamented that without the help of the Xisui Pills, his thinking efficiency was too low.

Suddenly, Xiao Jun had an idea...

"The human body is a furnace. There are two energies, Kan and Li, in the body, which refine all kinds of energy in the human body and form the weather." Xiao Jun looked at the "Book of Changes" in front of him and had some understanding in his heart.

"Then can I directly cultivate a stream of pure energy within my body, and use this pure energy to cleanse my distracting thoughts and keep myself awake?"

Thinking of this, Xiao Jun started to do it through dialectical method.

Yet, the internal energy within him was like a myriad of phenomena, ever-changing and dialectical, reflecting the yin and yang. Kan and Li elements within him were in harmony, and his emotions and will were in harmony. Xiao Jun precisely controlled the heat, generating Qian Yang Yuan Qi and Kun Yuan Jing Shui.

Whether it is Qianyang Yuanqi or Kunyuan Jingshui, they are all metaphysical descriptions, not that a stream of qi and a stream of water are really produced in the body.

The yin and yang energy within Xiao Jun's body was evident; the Qianyang Yuan Qi and Kunyuan Jingshui were a kind of great medicine. He began to collect this great medicine, dialectically harmonize it, and continuously refine its essence.

Finally, relying on the medical theory of Xisui Pills and using the methods of "Zhou Yi Can Tong Qi", a clear and spiritual energy was refined.

A clear and ethereal energy flowed from the Dantian, into the vest, along the spine, and straight to the top of the head.

But all of Xiao Jun's distracting thoughts were cleared away in an instant, his mood instantly calmed down, and his mind was as clear as clear water, reflecting everything.

"Through the human body, refining the Qi machine? Extracting the human body's great medicine, refining the marrow cleansing pill? Pure and spiritual Qi..."

After the clear and spiritual energy swept away all distracting thoughts, it flowed into the center of the eyebrows.

"Life is infinitely mysterious, and so is the theory of inner alchemy." Xiao Jun felt the clear and spiritual energy between his eyebrows, and his thinking became incomparably smooth, distracting thoughts dissipated, and inspiration flowed endlessly.

"Pure and spiritual energy?" Xiao Jun focused his attention on the space between his eyebrows, trying to sense the pure and spiritual energy there. However, as his thoughts became more and more numerous, a lot of distracting energy and thoughts appeared within him. The pure and spiritual energy simply dissipated.

But Xiao Jun still remembered that trace of divine charm in his heart, and continued to comprehend it. But soon Xiao Jun had a guess.

That is whether talent can be refined!

If talent can be cultivated through the theories of inner alchemy, the Zhouyi Cantongqi, and medical techniques, utilizing the myriad of internal qi within the human body...

"Even if it doesn't necessarily require talent, just having an aura that's close to talent is enough!"

The people in this world can control the vital energy of heaven and earth through their talents. This is the characteristic of this world, so the literati have great power.

But Xiao Jun is different. He doesn't care about strength. What he cares about is the effect of talent on improving wisdom and talent.

If you use the theory of inner alchemy to comprehend the way of talent and directly refine a talent in your body, then you will be able to comprehend the mystery of wisdom more deeply.

Thinking of this, Xiao Jun felt an indescribable excitement in his heart.

"Unfortunately, even a good cook cannot cook without rice. I don't have any talent. So I don't have a subject to study, so there's no way I can directly cultivate talent within my body."

"So, what I need to do next is to pass the examination and gain talent?"

In addition to refining talent, Xiao Jun also had a lot of ideas, such as refining clear energy, longevity energy, and spiritual energy.

Pure Qi purifies all impure and mixed Qi. Longevity Qi nourishes the source of vitality. Spiritual Qi nourishes the soul.
