Industrial Revolution of the Mage Lords

Chapter 140 Bloodline Transformation Ritual

Chapter 140 Bloodline Transformation Ritual (Part )
Harvey stood quietly in the center of the ritual formation drawn by Asdalen himself, holding a small silver dagger.

More than twenty selected soldiers sat cross-legged around him, forming a double-layer circle formation.

On the bare chest of each of them, there are extremely complex ritual inscriptions and lines painted. These lines represent the blood connection and eventually converge at the position of their heart in their chest.

Asdalen was wearing a hastily made ancient wizard robe and holding another slightly longer golden ceremonial dagger, he cut a small cut on the right arm of each soldier.

He also instructed them to place their palms on the formation diagram on the ground, allowing the fresh blood from the wounds on their arms to flow and smear on it.

There was a faint smell of blood in the air, mixed with the strange aroma of burning ritual spices specially prepared by Egno, which made Pierce, who had a sensitive sense of smell, couldn't help but wrinkle his nose.

"All soldiers, listen up! Take the bloodline potion immediately, don't waste any time!"

The soldiers all picked up the crystal bottles placed beside them, tilted their heads back and poured the potion inside into their mouths.

Suddenly, the sound of someone swallowing loudly could be heard in the hall.

"Sir, the preliminary preparations for the transformation ceremony have been completed." Asdalen stood up and reported to Harvey, who was standing in the center of the magic circle. "The transformation can begin. What you need next is..."

Harvey nodded patiently, and following Asdalen's instructions, he gritted his teeth and used the silver dagger to cut a small cut on his palm. He frowned and squeezed out a few drops of thick blood, which he sprinkled in the center of the formation.

The moment the blood dripped, Asdalen began to chant spells continuously with a heavy metallic friction sound, echoing throughout the entire castle hall at an extremely strange and unharmonious frequency.

Harvey listened carefully for a while and found that it was a very ancient language. Its pronunciation was somewhat similar to that of the ancient giant language, but it was completely different in some of the pauses and lexical nodes.

It seems that the common method of blood awakening today is not entirely derived from the blood transformation rituals of ancient wizards. It seems that many key ritual processes have been simplified and improved.

Where did these ancient wizards learn these methods... dragons? Giants? Or some other long-extinct intelligent race?

While Harvey was thinking, he subconsciously followed Asdalen's instructions and used his mental power as a guide to activate the ritual array.

The intricate array on the ground instantly glowed with a faint scarlet light, and Harvey's blood dripping into the core of the array slowly flowed along the drawn patterns and lines.

This small ball of blood followed the lines on the magic circle. Every time it passed a soldier in the magic circle, it would separate into a thin, almost invisible blood thread, which would follow the soldier's palm pressed on the ground and quickly flow along the lines on their body to their heart.

The first soldier who absorbed Harvey's blood suddenly began to tremble slightly. He gritted his teeth as if to endure the pain, still trying to keep his palms pressed on the ground.

A fine layer of sweat began to appear on the soldier's naked upper body, and then the sweat seemed to be instantly evaporated by the sudden high temperature of the body, and a faint stream of hot steam rose up.

The young soldier exhaled a stream of hot air from his nose, and finally couldn't help wanting to moan, but the moment he opened his mouth, a strange sound came out of his mouth unconsciously.

The sound that came out of his mouth was exactly the same as the spell that Asdalen was chanting.

As the ceremony continued, more and more soldiers experienced the same thing. All of them made strange sounds that were completely unhuman, which faintly resonated with the spell in Asdalen's mouth.

This unison chanting that sounded like a sonic attack made Harvey, who was standing in the center of the magic circle, feel a little dizzy. He swayed his body slightly, and it felt as if the voices of these soldiers were echoing in his mind at the same time.

"Sir, please hold on for a moment!" Asdalen said loudly to Harvey, "Please use your mental power to try to connect with the voices in your mind..."

Over twenty young soldiers simultaneously and uncontrollably chanted deep, majestic incantations, crashing down upon Harvey, who stood at the center, like a tidal wave. An unknown amount of time passed as Harvey diligently used his mental energy to distinguish the overlapping sounds flooding his mind, striving to connect them.

The sound of chanting the mantra finally stopped.

He subconsciously turned his head to look at the soldier closest to him, and the soldier seemed to sense his gaze and immediately looked up and met his gaze.

The other party didn't speak, but the young man's voice suddenly rang in Harvey's mind.

"Sir, we succeeded!"

……

In the ceremonial formation formed by the crowd, there were about seven or eight soldiers who were lying unconscious on the spot with their bodies tilted.

Egno and Reiner, who had been waiting nearby, quickly stepped forward and fed the unconscious soldiers the potions they had prepared in advance. They then ordered the guards at the door to carry them to the next room for a short rest.

"They didn't make it through the ceremony, but their lives won't be in any danger. They'll just feel weak and powerless in the near future..." Asdalen sighed, but didn't feel sorry. The success rate of this ceremony even exceeded his original expectations.

A total of eighteen soldiers and officers successfully completed the blood connection ceremony with Harvey.

They looked in good condition. Apart from their red eyes, their body temperature being extremely hot, and even their sweat being constantly evaporated, they had no other discomfort or abnormalities.

Harvey glanced around at the group of steaming strong men who gathered around him without saying a word.

He asked in surprise, "Is this... all right? Have they awakened their bloodline talents?"

He turned to look at Asdaren and asked awkwardly, "Why are they all suddenly silent? Everyone is staring at me without saying a word. It's so strange!"

Asdaren laughed heartily. "My Lord, this is the aftereffect of the transformation ritual. They have just experienced a connection with your bloodline and spiritual power, temporarily losing their ability to speak. They will recover soon."

He raised his hand and patted a young soldier beside him, patiently explaining to Harvey, "They're like fledglings hatching from their shells. They'll subconsciously draw closer to you. This is an attraction stemming from our shared bloodline."

"You can try to communicate with them and give them instructions using your mental power."

Harvey nodded and made a simple attempt to ask the soldiers to stop surrounding him. Sure enough, they responded immediately and sat down cross-legged again, but their eyes were still following him with burning passion.

"How long will it take for them to return to normal? This is really weird. I don't want them following me around while I shower and wash up at night!"

Reiner, who was in charge of assisting Asdalen in the ritual, couldn't help but laugh and said, "Sir, just hold on a little longer. Wait until they can break free from the strange state of resonance between their spirit and blood, and everything will be fine..."

"Then how long do we have to wait before we know what type of bloodline talent they have awakened?" Egno came over and asked curiously.

"After tonight, when they have completely digested the bloodline potion, we can begin testing their innate abilities..."
