Chapter 26 Anti-Demon Tactics

"It's a communication from the surface."

Nikonna answered the communication request. He placed it on his chest. Virtual light and shadow were projected into the air, and images of Roche, Ventanus and others emerged.

"What's the situation on Macragge's Glory? We have assembled a large number of troops on the surface to counter the attack of the Word Bearers, but if we want to change the situation, we must recapture the weapon array on the orbital platform!"

Ventanus asked immediately when he saw Marius with one arm missing.

"The situation is bad, we have lost the trace of the Primarch, please continue to hold on." Gage understood what the surface of Calth meant. They needed reinforcements to airdrop to the orbital platform and retake the weapons array.

Roche ended the communication. The meaning of the Macragge's Glory was clear. They still needed time.

"Captain, we don't have much time. There are three Word Bearers cruisers anchored near the Glory of Macragge. Void shields can't stop things that are too slow. They are breaking through our airlocks and hull armor. We must organize a team to fight inside the ship."

"Please continue, Sergeant." Gage's condition was improving. Losing an arm was nothing to him. He could already devote himself to the next battle.

"Speak your mind, and I will give you the authority to call upon your battle-brothers, if you can prevent the Word Bearers from boarding our ships."

Marius delegated his power as the Chapter Master. At this special moment, when victory or defeat was at stake, all means were permitted. Even though Hill was just a sergeant, as long as he was capable enough, he would have the corresponding identity and power.

Gage realized that the punished sergeant had an extraordinary strategic mind and his performance was even better than that of his own Chapter Master.

"By the way, Hill, can the power axe in your hand be used with one hand?" Gage cast his eyes on the battle axe in Hill's hand.

"It's light enough to do it," Hill replied.
Gage took the battle axe and swung a sharp axe in his hand.

These weapons were taken from the Primarch's personal collection and proved to be very reliable when facing those demons.

"Battle brothers, we must fight our way out. Those demons are wreaking havoc on the Macragge's Glory!" Hill shouted, leading his brothers towards the destroyed bridge.

Gage followed behind, turning his head to look the pharmacist in the eyes and asked.

"Battle brother, do you know why Sergeant Hill was punished? He is so calm and wise. What mistake did he make?"

The Chapter Master did not know Hill or his situation, and now he wanted to know what mistake this outstanding warrior had made.

The pharmacist replied, "Hill was discovered by his superiors to have been deducing how to defeat the Space Marines and had constructed a theoretical model. This was considered a dangerous idea, and no Space Marine would ever consider the Space Marines as their imaginary enemy."

"Now it is." Gage's tone was a little sarcastic.

"Hill argued that the Space Marines were a blind spot in all Legions' operations and therefore had to be remedied and corrected, and he wanted to explore a theory to combat this blind spot."

Before the Word Bearers' betrayal, this was a dangerous idea, but today, it is a vision. "His fault has proven to be a transcendent vision, and we now rely on his theories to fight back against the Word Bearers."

Sergeant Hill walked side by side with Raven Guard Nikona.

"He is different from us. He has witnessed the glorious achievements of mankind. Sometimes I envy him."

The power armor created by Roche has proved its reliability in dangerous wars time and time again. Although Nikonna doesn't know much about it, he knows that the power armor on his body can withstand the attacks of the Warp Demons without being damaged.

The alloy it's made of is far stronger than ceramic steel.

"Maybe you can get me one too." Hill joked with some envy.

But the next second, he immediately issued a stop order on the communication channel.

In the cabin ahead, a gigantic demon with a sharp beak and feathers was quietly lurking in the darkness. It weighed at least tens of tons, and its huge body was wriggling and swaying out of sight, crushing the bodies of the victims.

Nikona's eyes could see through the darkness, and he noticed that the demon's body was covered with a large number of tentacles. These tentacles, which were easily overlooked, easily penetrated into the dense hatches as easily as a hot knife cutting butter.

"Suppressive fire!"

At the command, the Extreme Marines immediately released explosive bombs. These powered warheads released terrifying high temperatures and explosions the moment they came into contact, tearing horrific scars of varying sizes on the demon's body.

The fire dragon was roaring and the flamethrower was releasing blazing flames. Once the promethium was ignited, it could not be extinguished. In front of the flames, the demon was extremely angry, and its anger was even greater than being hit head-on by a bomb.

They are afraid of fire.

The demon's counterattack was even faster. Its beak made of unknown substance cut an extreme marine in half from head to hip at a speed that was difficult to capture with the naked eye. Ceramic steel could not block this fatal blow.

Continuous bombs fell like rain, it was roaring, roaring, helpless and furious.

Nikona put down his bolter, turned around, drew his power sword and rushed forward.

Use melee combat!

Hill surrounded it from another direction, and the two of them wielded power swords to cut off those extremely threatening tentacles, cutting off large chunks of flesh from the demon's body in the blink of an eye.

The Son of the Dark Raven took shadow steps and walked in the darkness like a ghost. Even Hill could not see Nikonna's figure in the scanning field of view of the helmet.
