Because the Monkey King in front of him had changed the Book of Life and Death in the past. Not only did he cancel his own name, he also crossed out all the monkeys with names. It can be said that he changed it drastically!

Sun Wukong knew what he was thinking and sneered, "Don't look at me. Even the Netherworld Master above you has reformed. When I was traveling west and passed through Diling County in Tongtai Prefecture, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva once extended Kou Hong's life by an extra century."

Wherever the golden light shone, the ghost soldiers and evil spirits who had been frightened by the Monkey King and were hiding here and there were no longer any fears. Instead, they all looked at the Netherworld Lord in awe.

King Qin Guang, King Yama, and the other ten kings of the underworld also came forward to greet him, bowing respectfully and saying, "Greetings to the Bodhisattva!"

Ksitigarbha simply nodded at them, then walked straight to Sun Wukong, raised his hand and said, "I have met the Fighting Buddha."

Sun Wukong didn't bother to be polite and asked bluntly, "Are you here to make excuses for them?"

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva laughed and said, "Fighting Victory Buddha, you are wrong. I am here to clarify the facts. I did increase Kou Hong's lifespan by a century, but I also said that Kou Hong was a good man who offered food to monks and should be rewarded with good results.

I originally wanted him to make a book to record good karma, but Fighting Buddha insisted that he return to life, so I extended his lifespan."

Sun Wukong sneered: "Did I ask him to return to life?"

He gets angry when this matter is mentioned!

This was also something that made him helpless on his journey to the West.

Because before Kou Hong decided to offer a feast to ten thousand monks, he was not a good person at all!
This person was not originally from a wealthy family. He accumulated huge wealth by lending money at high interest rates and exploiting the people.

Because of doing so many evil things, one will naturally feel uneasy when he gets old and fear retribution after death.

Later, Kou Hong learned that worshiping Buddha and feeding monks could bring good results, so he decided to feed ten thousand monks.

Coincidentally, when the master and his disciples were passing through Diling County of Tongtai Prefecture on their journey to obtain Buddhist scriptures, this great philanthropist was just short of four monks to prepare a feast for ten thousand monks.

So at that time Kou Hong received them with almost the highest courtesy, and even wanted them to stay forever.

As for the old lady and two sons of Kou Hong's family, they said frankly that they would also support them for half a month.

Because the merits of feeding monks in the previous half month can only be attributed to Kou Hong.

This family treated feeding monks as a business, and the four masters and apprentices as a means to gain merit!

What made Sun Wukong even more angry was that after they left, Kou Hong was kicked to death by robbers. The old lady turned against them and, knowing that her old man was kicked to death by robbers, she insisted on accusing them and their master as the murderer.

Just because they did not respond to their request for vegetarian offerings, the old lady became resentful and blamed them for attracting the robbers!
But unfortunately, Lingshan is nearby, and the good reputation of Kou Hongzhai and the monks has already spread far and wide.

If the master and disciple did not do something when they encountered this situation, it would definitely bring shame to Buddhism, and their merits would probably be deducted by the Buddha when they arrived at Lingshan.

And this is what he cannot help.

Of course, more importantly, he saw that this was a calamity that Tang Monk had to go through. So in the end, he had no choice but to come to the underworld to help Kou Hong return to life, so that this great philanthropist known to the people of Tianzhu would reap the rewards of his good deeds.

Thinking of this, Sun Wukong felt a surge of anger in his heart.

What does it mean to do good deeds and get good results?
The good deeds mentioned by Dizang clearly refer specifically to worshiping Buddha and feeding monks.

And as long as you do enough good deeds for Buddhism, all the evil deeds you did in the past can be wiped out!

But is this right?

This is not right!
This is a case of no reward for good or evil!

Good and evil here are determined by Buddhism!
At this moment, Sun Wukong also thought of Liu Quan bringing in the melon.

What good deeds did Liu Quan do?
What good deeds did Li Cuilian do?

The fate of the little people is at their mercy.

It is said that if there is no reward for good and evil, the universe must be biased.

At the same time, after seeing Sun Wukong sneer, the Ten Kings of Hell fell silent, thinking that the Great Sage Sun was persuaded by Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Just as he was about to breathe a sigh of relief, he heard Sun Wukong ask Ksitigarbha: "Bodhisattva, Kou Hong did indeed offer a feast to ten thousand monks, but how many evil things he had done before, Bodhisattva should know better than me.

As the saying goes, good deeds are rewarded, and evil deeds are punished, so why didn't he suffer any bad consequences? "

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva smiled unchanged: "He was kicked to death by the robbers, which was the result of his evil deeds."

Sun Wukong sarcastically said, "As expected, good and evil are all decided by Buddhism."

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's expression became solemn, and he said in a deep voice: "Fighting Victory Buddha, you are now ranked among the thirty-five Buddhas of Mount Lingshan. Do not disrespect the Dharma!"

The conversation between the two made the Ten Kings of Hell silent.
Because the discussion of good and evil involves the fundamentals of Buddhist teachings.

Sun Wukong also understood this, so he did not continue to argue. After all, this was not the key to the current investigation.

The divine light in his eyes gathered, but he changed the subject: "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, I am not here to argue with you about good and evil today.

I have just said so much just to illustrate one thing, that is, the Book of Life and Death can be changed artificially.

Back then, I was already an immortal with an age as long as the heavens, but the Book of Life and Death in the underworld says that my life span will end soon. Your King of Hell even sent people to claim my soul.

How should this matter be settled?"

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva smiled and said, "The Book of Life and Death cannot be altered without authorization. It's not that it can't be altered, but the conditions required to do so are quite strict."

Strict conditions?

Hearing this, Sun Wukong sneered in his heart.

Liu Quanjingua, the life and death of three people can be changed at will, is this called harsh?

However, he couldn't let anyone know that he was investigating matters related to the death of the Jinghe Dragon King, so he didn't argue with him.
