Chapter 76 Passing away and bringing a message

After all, the big event that Manjushri and Samantabhadra are worried about has not happened yet, so let’s not talk about it for now.

But something big is about to happen.

Sun Wukong collected the spirit of the Jinghe Dragon King and bowed to Hou Tu, thanking her: "Thank you so much, Auntie! If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been able to take away the old dragon's spirit today."

The woodcutter Dayi was already beside Hou Tu. He was surprised and asked, "What are you calling Niangniang, you monkey?"

Sun Wukong smiled and scratched his hand: "Since she is your old mother, I call her Auntie, what's the problem?"

Hou Tu nodded gently: "The name is not important, anything is fine. But even if I don't take action today, when Dizang wakes up, he should release the spirit of the Jinghe Dragon King."

Hearing this, everyone's eyes turned to Dizang again.

Dizang was still looking at the bloody world that looked like a devil's land, lost in thought, with a look of sadness on his face.

After noticing everyone's gaze, he clasped his hands together and said, "I have committed grave sins. I am willing to die as atonement for my sins. My soul will be forever in hell, and I will never be reincarnated!"

Upon hearing this, Manjushri and Samantabhadra’s expressions changed drastically.

"Ksitigarbha, no! The underworld still needs you to take charge!"

"You only committed minor offenses, not major ones. Besides, you've guarded Hell for many years and have done great service to Heaven and Earth. How can you die to atone for such a minor offense?"

The two Bodhisattvas tried to dissuade him in a hurry, this time they were really anxious.

The other people present were also shocked, but they all kept silent. Some did not dare to speak, and some did not want to.

"A minor mistake?" Sun Wukong sneered and said bluntly, "How dare you say that imprisoning the spirit of the Jinghe Dragon King is a minor mistake?"

This incident opened the curtain on the journey to the West, and had a profound impact on the situation in the three realms. How could it be a small mistake!
Manjushri and Samantabhadra must have understood this principle, but they could not take the initiative to argue about it, so they both opened their mouths and scolded.

"You are such a cruel monkey!"

"Sun Wukong, you are still a Buddha after all!"

Sun Wukong laughed out loud: "Why, now you remember that I am still a Buddha?"

Manjushri and Samantabhadra were about to say something when Ksitigarbha interrupted them by chanting the Buddha's name.

"Amitabha, so good, so good..."

He was seen sitting cross-legged on the Thousand-Leaf Green Lotus Platform, falling into the blood-red ocean filled with newborn monsters.

Then he put his hands together, and Buddha's light radiated from his body, turning into blazing fireworks and sweeping across the entire blood-red ocean.

"Ksitigarbha!"

Manjushri and Samantabhadra were filled with pain and hatred, but they could do nothing but chant Amitabha with sad faces.

The same was true for the remaining thousand or so Arhats and Jie Di gods. For a moment, the sad sounds of chanting Buddha's name and scriptures spread throughout the entire blood-colored Nine Netherworld.

It looks sacred, yet weird!
The others were in disbelief. For example, the Ten Kings of Hell could never have imagined that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, who had held the power of the underworld for nearly a thousand years, would actually choose to pass away!

Given Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's status in Buddhism, even if he was possessed by a demon, it would be a problem of spiritual practice.

As for imprisoning an innocent soul, what does it matter?
Moreover, he has already regained consciousness. He only needs to return to Lingshan to practice in seclusion for a period of time, and everything will be fine.

Why did he pass away?

After countless years of practice, the fruit of immortality that he had finally obtained, and the position of the leader of the underworld that was respected by all parties, were all gone.

"Bodhisattva, why are you doing this?" Di Ting was filled with grief.

But Dizang just lowered his head and said nothing.

Soon, his entire body disappeared in the raging flames.

Also disappearing was the bloody ocean filled with newborn monsters.

Only a relic was left on the Thousand-Leaf Green Lotus Platform, which flew into the Eighteen Levels of Hell above.

It is eternal hell!

There was also Di Ting, who went to the Eighteen Levels of Hell to guard the relics of Ksitigarbha.

At this moment, Sun Wukong felt neither sad nor happy.

If you make a mistake or do evil, you should be punished.

This was the original intention he had found after choosing to revisit the path he had taken. Thinking of the system, the Great Sage checked the unfinished tasks.

[Heavenly Soldiers' Expedition (You need to repel the invading enemies and ask them to officially recognize your title as the Great Sage Equaling Heaven)]

"These Arhats and Jie Di gods are not celestial soldiers, but they are also invading enemies. Now they have been repelled by me, but I wonder if this stupid system recognizes them?"

"Well, at any rate, I'll give it a try."

Sun Wukong's smart eyes rolled around, and he looked around the scene, and soon he came up with a new plan.

At the same time, Manjushri and Samantabhadra were extremely sad and had no intention of staying here.

They bid farewell to the illusory Hou Tu: "Please forgive us, Queen Hou Tu. We are returning to Lingshan to report."

Hou Tu just glanced at them and had no intention of paying any attention to them.

The two Bodhisattvas did not care and immediately took the remaining Arhats and Jie Di God away from the underworld.

But at this moment, the Great Sage shouted, "Wait!"

The anger that Manjushri and Samantabhadra had suppressed with great difficulty suddenly erupted.

They both turned around and shouted angrily.

"Sun Wukong, Dizang is dead!"

"What else do you want to do?"

Hou Tu, the woodcutter, the Emperor of Ziwei, the Ten Kings of Hell, as well as the Ghost Emperors and the Yin Marshals who were present were all confused.

As the saying goes, leave some room for others so that you can meet again in the future.

Is this Great Sage going to fight to the death today?

At this moment, under the gazes of many people, Sun Wukong said with a smile: "I want you to bring a message to the Buddha.

If he recognizes me as the Monkey King, then I will just let it go.

If you don't do what I want, then sooner or later, I will definitely attack Lingshan!"

Hearing this, everyone was shocked.

Is this Great Sage crazy?
Still want to attack Lingshan?

Do we really want to break with Buddhism?
But when did Lingshan stop recognizing you as the Monkey King?
The woodcutter's eyes widened even more. This monkey was not doing things according to common sense at all. It was really giving the master a headache!
Manjushri and Samantabhadra were furious.

"Insanity!"

"Too arrogant!"

In their opinion, Sun Wukong's words showed that he did not take the Lingshan Holy Land seriously at all and was just looking for trouble!
The two Bodhisattvas were furious, but with the presence of Hou Tu Niangniang, who opened up the underworld, they could only suppress their anger and leave the Nine Netherworld with the remaining Arhats and Jie Di without stopping.

But even so, when they passed through the entrance, they could still hear the Great Sage's voice shouting.

"Be sure to convey Lao Sun's words, don't forget them!"

Those who had not yet left looked at each other, and then at the Great Sage, all of them were speechless.

"Interesting." A smile appeared on Hou Tu's calm face.

She nodded to the Emperor of Purple Star again, and the illusory figure disappeared with the wind.

The Purple Star Emperor bowed slightly and said to Sun Wukong, "Remember to go through the North Heavenly Gate."

After saying this, he left with the Ten Kings of Hell, the Five Ghost Emperors, and a million ghost soldiers.

"This guy is becoming more and more interesting." Sun Wukong scratched his hand with a smile, but he was already alert in his heart.

He knew very well that returning to heaven this time might not be so smooth.

Although all parties thought that the relationship between him and the dragon clan had changed, that was why they wanted to investigate the death of the Jinghe Dragon King.

But now that he has really found the soul of the Jinghe Dragon King, the real murderer behind the scenes certainly does not want to see him overturn the verdict in public.

Because once the case is overturned, everyone will find out the connection between the death of the Dragon King of Jinghe River and the journey to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures!
