Chapter 77 Lingshan
At this moment, only Sun Wukong and the woodcutter were left in the Nine Netherworld.

The woodcutter hesitated for a moment before saying, "Wukong, you were too reckless this time... you bumped into someone."

Sun Wukong smiled and said, "My master asked Lan Cai to tell me this. Just keep going forward and follow the destiny. There will be people to help you on your way."

The woodcutter said helplessly: "You know, that's not what I'm talking about."

Sun Wukong sneered, "So they can confuse good and evil, black and white, and suppress me, but I can't give them a blow and make their heads explode?"

The woodcutter smiled bitterly, "You, you monkey, it would be fine if Ksitigarbha died, but you killed so many Arhats and Jie Di, and then you threatened Lingshan with those words. Anyone who heard them would think you wanted to break with Buddhism.

Moreover, you will definitely have to reverse the verdict on the Dragon King of Jinghe River next.

But your reckless actions have left you no room for maneuver. How can the Buddhist sect forgive you so easily?"

After hearing this, Sun Wukong refuted without hesitation: "You, the woodcutter, are a man of understanding, but your vision is still too shallow.

Do you believe it or not, even if I do something even more cruel, Tathagata Buddha will still recognize me as the Fighting Buddha?"

The woodcutter frowned and fell into deep thought.

Sun Wukong chuckled again and said, "Woodcutter, think about it. I'll be leaving now. Also, remember to say hello to Master for me when you get back."

After saying this, he somersaulted into the sky and disappeared.

The woodcutter shook his head slightly. "My master also said that I'm simple-minded and straightforward. What can I do?"

Finally, he took a look at the Nine Netherworld after the war, sighed lightly, and left.

After an unknown amount of time, a low laugh could be heard faintly from the dark void deeper in the Nine Netherworlds, like the abyss.

"The power of the devil?"

"Tathagata, you can trap me, but you can't trap people's hearts."

"It won't be long before we meet again!"

……

The news of Ksitigarbha's passing away had spread to Cuiyun Palace on the edge of hell.

The boy in golden clothes was taking off his monk's robe while crying.

"Bodhisattva, you just said that I have greed, anger, and ignorance in my heart, and told me to recite the Heart Sutra of Prajnaparamita and cultivate precepts, concentration, and wisdom."

"But what about you? Aren't you also plagued by the three poisons?"

"Now you have passed away, leaving me alone."

"I won't recite this sutra anymore."

"I don't want to be a monk anymore."

"I want to see the outside world and see who is right and who is wrong."

The boy in golden robes folded the monk's robes he took off neatly.

Then he knelt on the ground and kowtowed respectfully towards the place where Dizang usually sat cross-legged.

Finally, he left without looking back.

……

Lingshan, Daleiyin Temple.

The Tathagata Buddha sits cross-legged in the main hall, his face majestic yet peaceful, making people unable to help but bow down in worship and sincerely convert to him.

On both sides of the main hall are Bodhisattvas, Venerables, Arhats, Dharma protectors, etc. They were originally sitting, standing, or lying in various postures.

But at this moment, the monks had lost their usual casualness, all had sad faces, and the atmosphere in the hall was very depressing.

Because just now, the Buddha opened his wisdom eyes, looked throughout the three realms, and found that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva had passed away!

There was silence in the hall for a while.

Venerable Kasyapa asked in deep sorrow, "Buddha, Ksitigarbha guarded Hell for so long, and made great contributions to Heaven and Earth. Now he is the ruler of the underworld. How could he have passed away?"

The monks all looked towards the Tathagata. They all knew that not long ago, the Buddha had sent Manjusri and Samantabhadra, two Bodhisattvas, with five hundred Arhats and three thousand Jieti spirits, to the netherworld to help Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva subdue the Fighting Buddha, who was plagued by the three poisons.

But who could have thought that in the end it was Dizang who passed away?
What about Fighting Buddha?

The Tathagata Buddha said, "Ksitigarbha is too stubborn. He has already taken the ghost dragon of the Jing River into his body in order to resolve his resentment and help him enter the wheel of reincarnation as soon as possible.

It was because Fighting Buddha accidentally caused Dizang to fail in his quest to find out the death of the Dragon King of Jing River, and he became obsessed with it and became a demon.

Although Dizang finally came to his senses, he blamed everything on himself and chose to die to atone for his sins, and his soul was imprisoned in hell forever.

Amitabha, good, good..."

After hearing this, the monks became even more sad. Why did it come to this?
Then everyone chanted Amitabha.

Ananda continued, "Buddha, this time we have the Bodhisattvas Manjusri and Samantabhadra leading the charge, as well as five hundred Arhats and three thousand Jieti Arhats, yet they were unable to defeat that... Fighting and Victory Buddha? And he even caused Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva to pass away?"

The Tathagata Buddha said nonchalantly, "This naughty monkey has learned some new skills. He broke the formation with his own strength and turned one arrow into ten thousand arrows, killing most of the Arhats and Jie Di gods, catching Manjusri and Samantabhadra off guard.

Moreover, at that time, not only did Dayi, who shot down the sun, come to his aid, but Yin Tianzi also led millions of ghost soldiers to assist him, and Hou Tu Niangniang also appeared to stop the war.

So in the end, this monkey got his way."

After hearing this, the monks looked at each other in bewilderment. How could such a big commotion occur?

But then, many people became angry.

"How dare Fighting Buddha, a Buddha himself, shoot and kill Buddhist monks?"

"Buddha, you should suppress Fighting Buddha immediately and make him repent of his sins!"

"Buddha, Sun Wukong should be stripped of his title of Fighting Buddha and sent into the cycle of reincarnation!"

Various angry voices rose and fell, making the originally solemn main hall noisy.

Tathagata said with a stern face, "How can you be so shameless?"

The monks looked at each other and fell silent.

Tathagata continued, "Fighting and Victory Buddha lost his original mind, and the Arhats and Jiedis suffered this calamity in order to save him.

You should celebrate for them, because our Buddhist mission is to save others and ourselves. Although they encountered disasters on this journey, they will soon be reborn in paradise."

The monks suddenly understood and said in unison: "Amitabha, well done, well done."

At this time, Guanyin Bodhisattva, who had heard the call, asked: "Buddha, where is Fighting Victory Buddha now?"

Tathagata sighed, "He is too obsessed. He must overturn the case of the Ghost Dragon of Jing River. Now that he has found the Ghost Dragon's soul, he has gone to the Heavenly Palace."

The monks were shocked again.

Guanyin raised her palm and said, "Buddha, I wish to go to heaven and help the Fighting Buddha to attain enlightenment and liberation."

Tathagata nodded and smiled, "Very good, then let Venerable Guanyin go. Remember, this rascal is very impatient and wants Lingshan to recognize him as the Great Sage Equaling Heaven. You will have to agree to his request when the time comes."

Upon hearing this, many Bodhisattvas and Venerables laughed, but the expressions on their faces were mostly sarcastic.

The title of the Great Sage Equaling Heaven was bestowed by the Emperor of Heaven and has never been taken away from him. How can he ask Lingshan to recognize it?

This Fighting Buddha has not changed his nature and is very rude!

Guanyin's expression remained unchanged. After bowing respectfully, she left the Great Leiyin Temple with the Hui'an practitioner Mu Zha.

When they were almost at the Heavenly Palace, the traveler Hui'an asked, "Bodhisattva, we always went through the West Heaven Gate before, why did we go around to the north this time?"

The Bodhisattva replied, "Heaven's will is in the north."

The traveler Hui'an was puzzled, but seeing that the Bodhisattva had no intention of explaining, he did not ask any more questions.

Guanyin Bodhisattva looked at the heavenly palace, but she still had some doubts in her heart.

She thought about it all the way, but couldn't figure out why Wukong was so sure that the Jinghe Ghost Dragon was on Dizang's body?
Judging from what happened this time, it was a complete accident and there was no sign of it.
