Chapter 2 The Devil from Hell!
"Let's go, take my car!"

James waved at Green, his face full of anxiety.

Green nodded quietly and followed James into the police car parked on the side of the road.

Just as he fastened his seat belt, James stepped on the accelerator deeply, the engine roared, and the police car took off directly and quickly left the roadside.

"We served together in the Middle East for two years and saw a lot of dead bodies, but we never encountered anything like this."

James held the steering wheel with both hands, his eyes fixed on the road ahead, and muttered, "Even the things we encountered before can be explained by science."

"But this time, for the first time, I thought that maybe demons really do exist..."

Green, who was in the passenger seat, turned his head and looked at the profile of James. This tough sheriff in people's eyes had a hint of confusion and some imperceptible fear on his face.

He thought for a moment and slowly spoke, "Those dark creatures have always existed, but since the last century, they have rarely appeared before the eyes of the world. For ordinary people, they may never encounter them in their entire lives."

"James, don't worry. The dark creatures in the world today won't have much power. The little girl will be fine."

Hearing this, James nodded silently, but there was still a trace of sadness on his face.

He is still haunted by what happened that day.

He happened to be on leave that day and went to the next county to reminisce with his comrades. He happened to see that the family had invited a priest to the hospital to help with an exorcism.

As the local sheriff, his comrade-in-arms naturally went with him to prevent any accidents.

James went along too.

That day, he witnessed something that he would never forget.

The bone-deep coldness, the trembling howls, the powerful little girl, and the dirty words that came out of her mouth.

Everything was exactly the same as the legend of being possessed by a demon.

A few minutes into the exorcism ceremony, the full-time priest was knocked away by an invisible force and fainted on the spot.

The possessed little girl also fell into a coma and has not woken up yet.

During these few days, the little girl's health condition deteriorated sharply. After several futile treatments, the hospital could only use some facilities to maintain the girl's life.

James couldn't bear to watch a little life disappear in this world, so he proposed to the family the idea of inviting Green for help.

The little girl's parents were at their wit's end, and after hearing what James said, they agreed to his idea without hesitation.

They must grasp even a glimmer of hope.

Glancing at Green in the passenger seat, James took a deep breath and said in a deep voice, "Green, I know you're a capable person. You've solved several strange things in our county before. This time, it all depends on you!"

"Do not worry."

Green waved his hand and turned his head to the side, watching the scene receding outside the window. He rubbed his left wrist with his right hand and thought silently, "I have a system..."

That's right, he is not from this world.

Twenty-one years ago, due to an accident, Green traveled through time and space and became an abandoned baby who was left in an orphanage in Texas.

After realizing what was happening to him, he quickly accepted his identity, worked hard to live and study in the orphanage, and was admitted to Stanford University after graduating from high school.

Green, who originally aspired to become a lawyer, celebrated his coming-of-age ceremony in his sophomore year, but suddenly fell into a coma at a party thrown by his friends.

After being in a coma for three days and three nights, Green awakened his system.

Strange to say.

This system has no panel, no prompts, only a magic circle on his left wrist that he can see, and something like a progress bar below.

Along with the awakening of the system, there is also a special ability, which is the legendary Yin-Yang Eyes.

From then on, he could see spirits and ghosts wandering the world.

After an accident, Green was surprised to find that killing ghosts could increase the progress bar below the magic circle, so he did not hesitate to find his academic advisor and request to suspend his studies. No matter how the academic advisor persuaded him, Green, who had made up his mind, still insisted on his idea.

After dropping out of school, he returned to the small town where he grew up and met a priest named Gabriel.

After spending some time together, Green moved into the long-abandoned church with a letter of introduction.

He met James during a ghost-eliminating operation shortly after he dropped out of school.

In these three years, the number of spirits and demons he has eliminated and expelled is no less than ten fingers, and the progress bar below the magic circle on his wrist is almost full.

"Maybe after this exorcism, the progress bar will be full."

Looking down at the magic circle on his wrist that he had seen countless times, Green felt a tinge of anticipation: "I wonder what will happen then..."

"I've put so much energy into this, I hope the reward will be what I want..."

Shaking his head, Green raised his head and looked at the road in front of him illuminated by headlights.

Soon, the two arrived at a community in the next county.

This is considered a middle-class community. The houses are all in typical American style, duplex houses with lawns and backyards. Those who can live here are residents with some assets.

James parked the police car in front of a nondescript house and said, "We're here."

As he said this, he couldn't wait to get out of the car and go into the house, obviously going to look for someone.

Green didn't rush to follow him in. He stood on the side of the road and looked at the house in front of him, his eyes narrowed slightly.

A foul odor filled my nose. It was the smell of heated sulfur, very similar to the smell of rotten eggs.

And this smell only exists in one place, and that is hell.

The guy who possessed the little girl was a demon from hell.

"Green, come in quickly!"

At this moment, James appeared at the door and waved over here.

Green looked around again, picked up his backpack, and walked into the house.

"His name is Green, the exorcist I told you about."

James introduced Green to the people standing in the room without saying much.

"Hello, Green."

A burly man also in police uniform was the first to extend his hand and said, "My name is Wells. I'm James's comrade-in-arms and the sheriff here."

"Hello."

Green reached out and shook Wells' hand, then looked around at everyone.

In addition to Wells who had greeted him, there was a middle-aged couple looking at him with haggard faces. They were obviously the owners of the house.

"Hello Green, I'm Robert and she's my wife Katherine."

Robert, with white hair, stretched out his hand. The stubble on his chin and his cracked lips revealed his current condition. “Please save my daughter! She’s only six years old!”

As soon as these words were spoken, the woman next to her instantly had red eyes and couldn't help sobbing.

Green reached out his hand and shook Robert's, nodded, and said, "James has already told me, take me to see your daughter."

"Ok!"

Robert took a deep breath, turned and walked up the stairs to the side.
