Two Worlds: I studied abroad at Hogwarts
Chapter 25: The Magic Hermione Fears
Chapter 25: The Magic Hermione Fears
Moon, who grew up in Xilin, has never really seen what war looks like.
But he knew that the Gracia Federation was built on the corpses of his fathers.
The Federation and the Melani Empire fought a war for ten years, and in the end, the only male members of the Scarlett family left were Uncle Neil, Jay, and him.
The war has only ended for eleven years now, but unexpectedly, Fabian XIV, known as the "Mad King", is going to start another war.
The day before returning to Hogwarts, Moon saw a recruitment notice on the street.
-
All men over the age of twelve must be conscripted to serve on the Snow Eagle Mountain defense line.
-
Moon felt a sense of urgency when he returned to Hogwarts. He would be twelve years old in May next year, and then he would be sent to the battlefield.
That night, Moon couldn't sleep as he stared at the three small saplings on the windowsill.
Bengbeng, who was sleeping in the tree house, felt something was wrong with his friend. He crawled out of the tree house, slowly came to Moon's pillow, stretched out his little paws and gently patted the little boy's face.
"唧~"
"Thank you, Bong Bong."
Sure enough, once there is someone by your side, your heart will always be filled with strength.
The next morning, Moon resumed his habit of getting up early. Now that he had finished reading "Wand Making and Maintenance", he focused on reading "Modern Magical Pronunciation Table" in the morning.
In two hours, Moon only read three chapters. This was because the pronunciation of magic words became more difficult to pronounce as he went on, so he had to try to read the new words several times.
At the beginning of the new week, Moon was able to gradually keep up with the professors' lectures, thanks to the "Oxford Reading Tree" lent to him by Hermione.
Although this set of reading materials has many volumes, the content is simple and easy to understand, and it also contains many illustrations.
This allowed Moon to quickly master a large amount of basic Muggle knowledge, and his spoken English level also improved. Now he rarely makes mistakes in the key points he notes in class.
But to be on the safe side, he would borrow Hermione's notebook after class to check it.
After the History of Magic class on Monday morning, Moon went to the auditorium with everyone to eat.
"There's nothing wrong with your notes, but you'd better practice your handwriting first."
After seeing Moon finish his inspection, Hermione took the notebook and began to criticize like a little professor.
Moon has now adapted to the little witch's way of speaking. As long as it comes to studying, she always gets first place.
And when other students don't understand something, she will actively correct them, but her tone is very direct.
"Okay, thank you Professor Hermione for the advice."
Moon jokingly picked up the croissant on the table and started eating it, and Hermione's face turned red.
Harry and Ron laughed secretly beside him. Seeing Hermione's unfriendly look, Moon was about to explain when a strange voice interrupted him.
"Are you Moon Scarlett?"
The speaker was an upperclassman whom Moon had seen at the Hufflepuff table next door.
"Yes, I am."
Moon stood up and shook hands with the other person.
"My name is Cedric Diggory, and I'm the new secretary of Professor Sprout's [Zombie Cactus Club]."
Every professor at Hogwarts has his or her own club, which is an organization they form for their favorite students to communicate with each other.
Moon didn't understand what the Hogwarts club was going to do, and he looked at the other party in confusion.
Hermione and Ron next to them obviously knew something, because when they heard the name "Christmas Cactus Club", their mouths and eyes opened wide at the same time.
"It seems you're still a little confused, but that's okay. I heard you're completing a special assignment from Professor Sprout?"
Cedric spoke in a leisurely tone, completely like a very cultured and elegant boy.
"Yes, I'm planting three saplings. Professor Sprout said we can tell whether they're alive in seven days, but I'm not sure they can survive." Moon expressed his opinion sincerely. Although the saplings are doing well now, no one can predict what they will be like in the end.
"Yes, young saplings are always very fragile, but I still hope you can succeed, so that the club can welcome the youngest wizard."
"I will try my best."
Moon didn't know what the benefits of joining the club were, but he could guess from Ron and Hermione's expressions that it shouldn't be a bad thing, and he didn't want to disappoint Professor Sprout's expectations.
Watching Cedric walk out of the hall, Ron couldn't wait to come over.
"Moon, you are so amazing. You can join the professor's club in your first year." Ron's eyes were full of envy as he spoke.
"Is it a big deal to join the club?" Moon asked in confusion.
"Of course, Bill, Charlie, and Percy all joined Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration Club in their third year. They always seem so proud of it when they talk about it."
Ron got all the information about the Professors' Club from his brothers.
Moon didn't know Bill, Charlie, or Percy, but Percy was now the head of Gryffindor, and it was heard that he had excellent grades in all subjects.
"But you are much better than them now. I will tell my family about this when I get home. I will see how Percy will show off in the future."
Ron had always disliked Percy, and this was no secret in their dormitory. However, Moon felt that it was a little too early to show off achievements that he had not yet achieved.
Hermione was completely different from Ron. She had a very good relationship with Percy and they could often be seen discussing and studying in the common room.
"Ron, I think you should be more respectful to Percy."
Hermione frowned and looked at Ron who was joking with Harry.
"This is our own family matter."
I have to say that Ron always hits the other person's sore spot every time they quarrel. Looking at Hermione sitting back in her seat angrily, Ron was still eating as if nothing had happened.
Stab, sting.
The sound of Hermione turning the pages of the book became louder and louder, but her eyes kept drifting over the book - Ron Moon.
If there's one thing I'm most excited about this week, it's definitely the upcoming flying lessons.
This is also what Moon is looking forward to the most. After accepting the cross-world travel every seven days, compared with the flight lessons, Moon no longer has the initial fear.
But he wasn't as excited as the people who kept talking about racing on broomsticks and airplanes.
Most of the young wizards were still afraid and worried. Even though they talked about riding brooms and racing airplanes, Moon thought it was just a way to relieve their fear.
Among this group of people, the most unexpected one was Hermione.
She'd read Quidditch Through the Ages three times this week, and even during dinner she'd been harping on about the flying rules.
Whenever Moon asked Hermione for some obscure magical knowledge, she would always turn the conversation to flying.
"Look, that's what the book says. It's not difficult to lift your feet off the ground, right?"
Moon didn't have to agree with her, because Hermione had already gained a loyal audience.
Neville.
He would agree with everything Hermione said, but he always forgot the first few sentences.
But the more this happened, the more nervous Neville became. Now the child was so nervous that he became a little stutterer just like Quirrell.
