Two Worlds: I studied abroad at Hogwarts

Chapter 66: First Conversation with the Principal

Chapter 66: First Conversation with the Principal
Dumbledore's office as headmaster is in a separate tower.

The two of them walked through the long corridor to get here.

Moon was very nervous on the way here. He didn't know what Dumbledore had discovered.

But he must keep his secret no matter what the other party asked.

After struggling in his mind for a while, Moon unknowingly walked into a spacious and beautiful round house.

The room was filled with all sorts of funny little noises, and on the table were many small silver objects that kept spinning and spewing out puffs of white smoke.

There were many portraits hanging on the wall. Moon knew from the descriptions below that these were all former principals.

Everything here is novel, even the table legs are claw-shaped.

But Moon still saw something familiar, the tattered hat from the sorting ceremony.

He still remembered what the hat had said to him at the time: choices are sometimes more important than anything else.

Opposite the Sorting Hat is the headmaster's pet phoenix.

Ron had praised the great wizard's pet more than once in the dormitory.

He once said that this magical bird had a deep connection with the Dumbledore family and seemed to have been protecting the family for a long time.

Moon didn't know what the phoenix represented, he just couldn't take his eyes off it when he saw it.

The feathers on this bird are so beautiful, especially the ones at the tail which shimmer with exotic colors.

Fox also discovered Moon, who was originally sleeping quietly on the shelf. He only took his head out from under his wings after hearing footsteps.

When he saw Moon, a strange look flashed in Fox's small eyes.

When the eyes of a man and an animal met, Phoenix subconsciously took two steps back behind the shelf.

"Mr. Scarlett, would you like anything? Tea or Hagrid's Cakes."

When Moon heard Dumbledore say [Hagrid Bubble Pancake], he was still stunned.

He never thought that he and Hagrid would come up with a dessert that Dumbledore would use to entertain guests.

"No, no need."

Moon was still a little nervous.

"Relax, believe me, Mr. Scarlett, desserts can put people in a good mood."

Dumbledore said this and waved his hand gently, and two fat little white bowls floated in front of him.

Moon took the white bowl with both hands and found that it was a warm [Hagrid's Pancake].

"I prepare one or two portions every day and use magic to maintain their temperature. Try it, it must be just right."

Hearing that the principal was using magic to maintain the temperature of the food, Moon curiously picked up the silver spoon and took a bite.

This [Hagrid Pancake] is much softer and sweeter than the one Moon ate in the cafeteria.

"I haven't traveled the world, but I have many old friends, and this kind of food combination is rare."

After hearing Dumbledore speak, Moon did not respond, he just quickened his eating speed.

"I heard you and Hagrid made this together, didn't you?"

"Yes."

Moon nodded in response.

"Then I guess there must be a lot of delicious food in your hometown, right?"

Hearing Dumbledore say the word 'homeland', Moon put down the silver spoon in his hand.

"No, not at all."

Dumbledore's words seemed to have magical power, and Moon didn't have the courage to refuse to answer.

"Oh, I see. I heard from Sprout that you've already made a wand. It's made of willow wood and has a unicorn tail hair core, right?"

"Yes."

"Don't be nervous, Mr. Scarlett. As far as I know, the wand you use yourself is also made of willow, right?"

"Yes, Headmaster." "That's amazing. Ollivander mentioned something about this when he wrote to me."

Moon put down the fat bowl in his hand and decided not to eat for the time being.

This was only the second time Moon had seen Dumbledore in person since he started school.

He used to think that the principal did not manage school affairs, but now it seems he was wrong.

Dumbledore actually knew everything he did, and in great detail.

This gave Moon the illusion that he was seen through by the other party.

Dumbledore also noticed Moon's abnormality. He did not continue to ask questions, but concentrated on eating the food.

Moon didn't come back to his senses until Dumbledore finished his puff pastry and put his silver spoon on the plate with a crisp clang.

"Don't worry, Mr. Scarlett. No one will force you to say anything unless you want to."

As Dumbledore spoke, Moon looked into the other's blue eyes.

Those eyes were deep and peaceful, as if just one look could calm your mind.

Moon even had a little impulse to tell the other party his secret, but the alarm bells in his heart rang and Moon came to his senses again.

"Of course Headmaster, but I don't have anything to say."

"Oh, I see~"

Dumbledore took a deep breath and smiled again.

"Actually, I very much welcome you to study at Hogwarts, Mr. Scarlett. I hope you can learn truly useful magical knowledge here."

"Yes, Principal. I am very happy here and have learned a lot."

After the initial nervousness, Moon was now completely relaxed.

Although it is not known whether Dumbledore used magic, he was indeed in a trance too many times tonight.

"That's good. By the way, you helped the school deal with an emergency tonight. As the principal, I can give you some rewards."

Moon's eyes lit up instantly when he heard about the reward. He was worried about having no place to practice magic spells.

"Principal, can I request a classroom to practice spells?"

As soon as Moon said this, Dumbledore immediately thought of the third Leg-Locking Curse that the troll had just endured.

That kind of speed, accuracy, and responsiveness does require a long period of practice.

"Okay, but I have to consider the safety of my students, so can I ask what spell you're going to practice?"

Moon did not doubt Dumbledore's original intention. He directly told him the types of spells he currently knew.

"[Leg-Locking Curse], [Petrification Curse], and some minor curses, is that all?"

"Yes."

After Moon answered, Dumbledore began tapping his slender fingers on the table in a rhythmic rhythm.

dong dong dong~
After the sound rang three times in succession, Dumbledore spoke again.

"I remember there's an empty classroom on the far right of the second floor of the main teaching building. It's very close to Minerva's office, and the school hospital is right next to it. It should be perfect for your needs."

Hearing that Dumbledore not only agreed but also considered it so much, Moon bowed in gratitude.

"Don't be so anxious, Mr. Scarlett. I haven't finished yet."

"Since you're only a first-year now, there may be some things you can't handle, so I have to find someone to temporarily supervise this classroom. Um~, how's Filch?"

"Principal, can you please change someone?"

"Why, Filch is very dedicated to the school, and I trust him."

Moon wanted to discuss it further when an uncoordinated sound of footsteps came from the direction of the spiral staircase.

"Oh, Severus, is your leg okay?"
