Two Worlds: I studied abroad at Hogwarts

Chapter 67 Attracting Snape's Attention

Chapter 67 Attracting Snape's Attention
Snape limped up the spiral staircase.

From his painful expression, Moon could see that he was not very satisfied with the layout of the principal's office.

"Principal, we need to talk."

Snape's tone was very serious. After he finished speaking to Dumbledore, he looked at Moon who was standing aside.

After seeing Snape's serious expression, Dumbledore looked at Moon with a smile.

"Okay, Mr. Scarlett, your request is settled for now. You should see your reward tomorrow. Now hurry up and get to the dinner, or your delicious food will get cold."

"Okay, Principal. Goodbye."

Moon nodded slightly to the two professors and quickly walked down the stairs.

But before he walked out the door, he heard Snape's voice.

"All the defenses are in good condition, but that giant monster escaped. This is so suspicious!"

When Moon stepped out of the door, the conversation inside was already too faint to be heard.

"Protection? Questionable?"

These two words flashed through his mind, and although Moon felt suspicious, he didn't think about it anymore.

After all, school affairs should be the responsibility of the principal and professors. Thinking of this, Moon quickly ran towards the auditorium.

"I've said before that Quirrell can't be trusted, but you insisted on bringing that guy in as well."

Snape's voice was stern and full of questioning, totally unlike the tone a professor should use to address the headmaster.

"Okay, Severus, I will consider Quirinus's matter. As for you, is your leg injury okay? Do you want to go find Madam Pomfrey?"

Dumbledore didn't care about Snape's tone. He was only concerned about Snape's right leg which was bleeding.

"Don't worry about it. I can prepare some potions myself."

"Oh, okay, did you take care of the troll?"

"Of course, I cast multiple binding spells on it and also injected it with a sleeping potion. It will only wake up after three days."

"You always make people feel at ease when doing things."

Dumbledore smiled as he spoke, but Snape didn't seem to buy it.

"Principal, you should pay more attention to that strange Defense Against the Dark Arts professor!"

"Quilinas, he just fainted in the auditorium and should be lying in the school infirmary now. I will go see him later."

"I'm not talking about visiting, but he might be up to something. The protection you've put in place is no longer reliable."

After listening to Snape's blunt words, Dumbledore pondered for a moment, then spoke slowly again.

"Okay, I'll notify the other professors to strengthen the defenses. As for Quirinus, since the troll has already escaped, let's send it back to where it came from."

Seeing that Dumbledore had finally made up his mind, Snape just pondered for a moment and did not refute.

"Do you really not need to look at your legs again, Severus?"

"No need. The wound caused by the three-headed dog is not easy to treat. The potions in the school infirmary will not have any effect. As for the spell recovery, haha, it's better for me to do it myself."

Hearing Snape's arrogant tone that looked down on the school infirmary, Dumbledore rarely refuted but smiled knowingly.

"It seems that hiring you as the Potions professor was a wise move."

In response to Dumbledore's boasting, Snape just snorted coldly and glanced at him.

Now everyone in Hogwarts knows that he wants to be the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, but Dumbledore, the headmaster, has never allowed it, which makes him very angry.

"Okay, Headmaster, if there are no other instructions, I have to go back and make potions."

Without waiting for Dumbledore to speak, Snape stood up and walked towards the stairs.

"Oh, it may be hard for you to endure it for a while, Severus."

Hearing that Dumbledore had something else to do, Snape turned around with a grim face.

"I have already asked Minerva and Pomona. Now I would like to seek your opinion." Hearing that Dumbledore had asked the two headmasters, Snape's frown relaxed a little. He guessed it must be something important.

"Please go ahead, Headmaster."

"Oh, don't be so serious. I just thought that as Mr. Scarlett's Potions professor, you should know a little about him."

"Scarlett? The Moon Scarlett who just walked out."

Snape thought Dumbledore was going to do something big, but he didn't expect that he was just concerned about a first-year wizard.

This inexplicably gave him a sense of absurdity.

Sensing the change in Snape's tone, Dumbledore smiled and continued to explain.

"Yes, tonight, while you were checking the protective mechanism, Mr. Scarlett had already subdued the troll by himself."

"This is impossible!"

Snape's tone was very certain.

Can a stupid first-grade lion subdue a giant monster?
In Snape's opinion, it would be better for him to believe that Quirrell had no suspicion.

"But that's the fact. Severus, and even Filius testified for him. He fired more than five Leg Locking Curses."

Snape hesitated for a moment when he heard Dumbledore say Professor Flitwick's name.

He recalled the casual conversation between the two professors in the staff cafeteria yesterday.

At that time, Flitwick was trying his best to prove the little stupid lion's talent for magic.

Thinking of this, Snape calmed down, slowly walked back to the chair and sat down.

"More than five Leg Lock Curses? If that's the case, it can certainly penetrate the giant monster's thick hide."

"Yes, although the troll's skin is also very tough, it is far less resistant to magic than a fire dragon's skin. So I'd like to ask, is it possible for Mr. Scarlett to do this?"

Before Dumbledore asked, Snape was already recalling Moon's performance in Potions class over the past two months.

The knowledge is firmly grasped, but it is only memorized by rote!

The potion has a high success rate, but there is nothing outstanding about it!

I kind of respect the professor, but I always want to help others out of kindness!
"If Professor Flitwick says he cast five spells in a row, I think it's possible."

"Why do you say that?"

"This little fool..."

Looking up at Dumbledore who was still smiling, Snape curled his lips and continued.

"This little wizard is very steady when making potions. His partner is a stupid student, but he always manages to make up for it in time."

Snape emphasized the word "stupid".

"Although he processed the herbs rigidly according to the book, the magic potion he refined was only of ordinary quality."

"But he made no mistakes in every step he took. His technique was so clean and neat, without any delay."

Snape's evaluation of a person was heavily influenced by the school, but what he said about Moon's performance in the Potions class was very accurate.

"Then it seems there is really nothing to be suspicious about~"

After Snape finished speaking, Dumbledore stared out the window and then said something.

Snape was also a little confused at this time. He had taught Moon for a long time.

Apart from discovering that this stupid little lion had some good-for-nothing qualities, I really didn't find anything suspicious.

But he knew that Dumbledore would never do anything meaningless.

Since he said that, there must be something wrong with Moon.

Please read, vote, and recommend from all the little wizards.
