Durin's Diary

Chapter 50 Lesson

Chapter 50 Lesson

On the first day of school, in the first class, Du Lin sat in a sparsely populated classroom and learned about the world's movies from an old tutor.

It's really interesting—because there are two ways of making movies in this world.

The first is the standard method used by many great directors - film and camera.

Du Lin was familiar with this routine. He'd never made a film in his previous life, but he'd been an extra when he was bored. By then, he was already older and didn't take on many jobs, enjoying the last of his retirement years. So Du Lin could relate. Of course, the technology back then was completely different from today. Now, it's all about focusing and everything's done. Green screen? Blue ray? These, in Du Lin's eyes, were already obsolete. Here, they were supposed to be beautiful things, untouchable even by the cutting-edge.

Another filming technique is to use magic director, guided by the director's own magic power (magic crystal can be used), and construct all the pictures and characters in the director's own mind through a projector. Of course, if the director's power is not strong enough, the pictures produced will be blurry.

Du Lin was immediately interested in filming in this way. He once again marveled at the convenience of the magic from the other world, and also at his good second reincarnation skills - if he was reborn as a barbarian, Du Lin would have to carry the camera and go up mountains and down seas with the unfortunate actors.

And when he mentioned this, Du Lin thought of the hand-cranked camera in old Enrique's hand. Old Enrique was not a French professional, so he had no way to use the guide stone.

However, it is obviously not the time to actually put it into practice. The first class only introduced the theoretical knowledge of the two methods and then the get out of class ended.

Then Du Lin was told by his instructor that the morning class was over and there were two more classes in the afternoon.

Finished?
Du Lin looked at the slightly hunched back of his old mentor as he left and couldn't recover for a long time. It was only 9:45 in the morning and the first class in the afternoon was at 1:45. How was he going to get through the next few hours?

There is something wrong with this world. How can an art college only have three classes in one day!

Then Du Lin looked at other departments and found that they all had classes. He was full of doubts until he met Mrs. Salin.

"Oh, you are talking about this. Your department was just established this year, and several senior tutors are still compiling the courses. After all, it is a new form of art expression, and the college has never done it before." Mrs. Salin's answer left Du Lin speechless.

But at least this is a standard answer and it’s not wrong.

So Du Lin began to slack off in a department that was doing painting. He took a look and saw that it should be a sketching class. The first-grade class was simple. He had to draw two apples and a bunch of bananas at the intersection of light and shadow on the table.

The instructor obviously knew Du Lin. He came over and looked at Du Lin and said, "Du Lin, does your lynx bite people?"

"No, you can touch its head and I promise it won't bite you."

So the middle-aged man smiled and stroked Kel'tsit's head, then sighed contentedly: "That's great. I like animals, but my children are allergic to animal hair. I have to clean the hair on my body before I go home."

"Thank you for your hard work." Durin smiled and stroked Kal'tsit. From his ears, it could be seen that he was an elf half-blood, a tall one.

"By the way, I heard that grassland elves are very good at sketching. Since engineering requires it, can you show your skills to my children?" the middle-aged man asked with a smile.

"Okay." Du Lin nodded. In his opinion, sketching itself was not a difficult task; the difficult part was the processing of light and shadow.

So with an empty board, a high chair and a charcoal pencil, Du Lin began to draw.

Draw an apple, but not all of it is an apple. ………………

When Mrs. Salin walked into the first-grade sketching department, the children had already left. She looked at her old colleague standing in front of a board and said, "Fernando, what's wrong?"

"Just now, the Elsh children drew two sketches." The middle-aged man turned his head and looked at her: "Why don't you come and take a look?"

So Mrs. Salin walked over, stopped, and looked at Fernando in the painting: "You are much more handsome in the painting than in real life, Fernando."

"Yes, I think so too. I heard that he has a master craftsman certificate, right?" Fernando asked.

Then he saw Salin nod, and he scratched the back of his head with some emotion. "I actually asked a master craftsman to do the sketch, and he just painted it straight away. My children were really shocked today. He drew an apple in one stroke, and then used the remaining 17 minutes of class to draw a self-portrait for me."

"I understand." Mrs. Salin looked at the distorted apples and the bananas drawn as cucumbers on other boards and nodded with a smile.

"I heard he's in old Sean's new department, the Film Arts Department, right?" Fernando asked as he began to pack up his drawing board.

"Yes, this department was designated by His Majesty. That kid Dulin told it on the train..." Mrs. Salin told those little-known stories, and Fernando was amazed.

Fernando paced around the classroom. "He said that film, as an emerging art form, doesn't just exist to capture actresses' thighs. This world is filled with so much beauty and regret, and movies can turn these into stories on the screen, allowing them to move everyone... Interesting, truly interesting." Fernando looked at his boss and said seriously, "Mrs. Salin, his words really resonated with me. I've seen the film, and just like he said, film can be more captivating than just the visuals, but some people always misuse it."

"For example, patting a girl's thighs, right?" Mrs. Salin smiled happily.

Fernando laughed too.

"By the way, Fernando, where is the kid Dulin?" Mrs. Salin was curious again.

"Duter Marcus just came and invited Dulin to his studio, saying that he wanted to see if the grandson of the Duke of Ish was bragging. Dulin thought that since he had no classes before two in the afternoon, he accepted the invitation. I watched them get into Duterte's car." Fernando said.

Duterte Marcus, the most famous director in the Northern Kingdom, is much better than those guys who can only pat their legs.

That's okay, Mrs. Salin felt relieved when she heard the name.

Duterte Marcus, an old friend of Ish, they have known each other since childhood.

When Ixu came last year, he even stayed at his house for a week. You know, even at Robert's Sans Souci Palace, Ixu only stayed there for two days.

Such a close friend would probably go to Du Lin just to inspect the goods.

Saleen felt she had nothing to worry about.
