Lin En took the brochure, flipped through a few pages, and suddenly froze. Images of the stolen equipment flashed through his mind: chips, sensors, high-end circuit boards... these were the key components needed to build a small rocket!
"Gwen, where is this space show held? When does it start?" Lynn's tone became nervous.

Gwen was a little surprised, but still replied, "It's at the Science and Technology Museum in the city center. The exhibition has been going on for two days, and the grand finale is the rocket launch demonstration the day after tomorrow."

Lin En suddenly realized something. Perhaps things weren't as complicated as they'd imagined. Spider-Man wasn't trying to build some high-tech weapon, nor was he working for some mysterious organization. His goal was likely to simply participate in this university space show, assembling a small rocket using stolen equipment and demonstrating his technical prowess.

"I see..." Lin En muttered to himself, his brows gradually relaxed. He took out his cell phone and immediately dialed Mark's number.

"Mark, I know Spider-Man's goal! He's not plotting anything big. He's heading to the university student space show downtown. He might just want to use the stolen equipment to build a rocket and show off his technical abilities."

Mark was stunned for a moment on the other end of the phone, and then he suddenly realized: "Inspector, are you saying that all this is not as complicated as we thought? He's just a fanatic who wants to show off his skills?"

"That's very likely." Lynn nodded, his voice low and firm. "But no matter what his motive is, his behavior is still a crime. We must find him as soon as possible and stop him before the demonstration is launched."

"Got it!" Mark's tone was instantly filled with enthusiasm. "I'll go check the list of exhibitors at the space exhibition now. Maybe I can find some clues."

After hanging up the phone, Lynn looked at Gwen with a smile on her face: "Thank you, Gwen. You just helped me solve a big mystery."

Gwen blinked, a little confused, and asked, "How did I help?"

"Nothing." Lin En patted her shoulder. "Just keep paying attention to the news about the space show. Maybe this time you'll see a more interesting 'show' than you expected."

After Lin returned to his office, he immediately had the technical team retrieve a special database. He requested that they search for mutants who were college-aged and active near Manhattan. This database, established by the Federation to track mutants, contained a wealth of basic information.

Mark walked in with a cup of coffee and saw Lynn staring intently at the screen. He couldn't help but ask, "Detective, have you found anything?"

Lynn didn't look up, his fingers tapping away at the keyboard. "It's not completely confirmed yet, but the direction is clear. Spider-Man possesses extraordinary climbing abilities and a precise need for high-tech equipment, which is likely related to some special mutant ability. Now we need to find someone who meets these characteristics."

As the system screened, names and photos gradually appeared on the screen. Lynn further narrowed the scope, focusing only on mutants who were college-aged and had recent activity records.

"Look at this." Lynn pointed to a file on the screen, his tone tinged with excitement. "Glynn Hamilton, 21 years old, has a gift for magnetism. He can manipulate metal and attach it to any surface. This perfectly explains Spider-Man's climbing ability."

Mark leaned over to take a look and nodded in agreement: "It's indeed an important clue. Is there any other information about his background?"

Lynn continued to review the files. "Green has shown a great talent for engineering and physics since he was a child. His abilities allow him to easily operate electronic equipment. He was once briefly detained for illegally breaking into a laboratory, but was released because no serious consequences were caused. He recently enrolled at a university in Manhattan and happened to be involved in this space show."

Mark's eyes flashed with excitement. "Inspector, it looks like we've found our target. Green not only meets the age and ability requirements, but his academic background also perfectly matches the stolen equipment."

Lynn nodded, his eyes sharp. "That's right. He is very likely Spider-Man, and this space show is his stage. His motive may not be money, but to show off his abilities. But we must stop him."

He immediately gave the order: "Contact the security department of the Manhattan Science Museum to strengthen monitoring of the exhibition. At the same time, we need to find out Green's recent activities and make sure to control him before he acts."

Mark responded quickly: "Understood! I'll arrange an investigation into Green to see if he has any other helpers or potential hiding places."

The next day, Lynn walked onto the Manhattan University campus and, following student directions, arrived at the entrance to the Science and Engineering Interest Group Room. Through the glass window, he could see a group of students gathered around a large table, excitedly discussing something. The table was covered with various electronic devices, tools, and a half-finished small rocket model.

Lin En's eyes quickly locked onto one of them. The young man in a dark hoodie sat at a table, intently inserting a circuit board into the rocket's control module. His movements were fluid, and a focused, confident smile etched across his face. It was as if the entire world vanished, leaving only him and his work.

"Green Hamilton." Lin En silently repeated the name in his mind. He did not enter the house, but stood outside the door, carefully observing the situation in the activity room.

Green's classmates were clearly impressed by him and frequently asked him questions. He patiently answered them and demonstrated with his tools. When a classmate proposed a new improvement, Green became excited and immediately engaged in a discussion.

Lynn's hands clenched slightly. He was certain the young man before him was Spider-Man. His abilities, his background, and the purpose of the stolen equipment all pointed to one undeniable fact: Green was using his abilities and talents to orchestrate a daring display of skill.

But Lynn didn't go in right away. He stood outside the door, quietly watching Green interact with his classmates. What he saw wasn't just a mutant with special abilities, but also a group of young people who loved technology and were trying to realize a dream through their own efforts.

Lynn's thoughts became complicated. His duty was to enforce the law, to bring Green to justice and stop his illegal activities. However, he also realized that Green might not be a malicious criminal. His actions were more of an outlet for rebellion, a test of his abilities, and a desire for recognition.

"Detective, are you coming in?" Mark's voice came through the headset.

Lin En didn't answer immediately. He took a deep breath and finally whispered, "No, not yet. He's not doing anything dangerous right now."

"But he is a suspect after all..." Mark hesitated.

"I know." Lynn's tone was calm, yet firm. "But perhaps he's just a young man in need of direction. If we interrupt him now, not only will it ruin his future, it might actually push him down the wrong path."

Mark didn't say anything else, but there was understanding in his silence.

Lynn took one last look at Green in the room and turned to leave. He knew the case wasn't over, but perhaps he could find a way to deal with this young "Spider-Man," allowing justice to move beyond punishment and into guidance. A few days later, the Manhattan Science Museum was bustling with activity as the University Student Space Exhibition officially opened. Lynn and his sister, Gwen, entered the exhibition hall and were struck by the youthful energy and boundless passion for science and technology.

"Brother, don't you think this is super cool?" Gwen excitedly took Lynn's hand and pointed at the various rocket models on the booth. "Look at these designs, they're amazing! Some even look professional-grade."

Lin En smiled slightly, looking at the excitement on her sister's face, and said with a hint of doting, "It's really great to see so many young people who love technology gathered together. This in itself is something worth celebrating."

The two followed the crowd to the main exhibition hall, which was already packed with spectators. In the center was an open area where several university student teams were preparing for the final stages of their rocket test flight. One of these teams caught Lynn's attention: it was Green's group.

Green stood at the front of the group, explaining the rocket's design concept to the judges. His tone was confident and enthusiastic, and the students around him nodded in agreement. The rocket model on the table was exquisite and complex, clearly the result of meticulous design and testing.

"Is that their rocket?" Gwen whispered. "It looks really powerful!"

Lin En nodded and looked at Green with complicated eyes: "Yes, they are indeed excellent."

The test flight began, and Team Green's rocket was positioned securely on the launch pad. Amidst the countdown, the rocket ignited and lifted off, emitting a dazzling tail of flame as it soared straight into the sky. The audience gasped, and applause and cheers filled the exhibition hall.

After reaching the predetermined altitude, the rocket successfully released a small probe and transmitted real-time data via signal. The entire test flight was flawless, earning praise from the judges.

Finally, Green's team was announced as the first prize winner of the space exhibition. His classmates hugged each other excitedly, and Green stood in the center of the team, his face showing unconcealable joy and pride.

"That's awesome!" Gwen clapped excitedly. "Man, they're really awesome!"

Lynn also applauded, but his eyes remained on Green. This young man had accomplished something worthy of pride with his talent and hard work, without going down any wrong path.

As they left the exhibition hall, Gwen took Lynn's hand and said happily, "Brother, do you think they will become future scientists or engineers? I think Green will!"

Lynn looked at her sister and smiled with satisfaction, "Yes, Gwen. They have the potential, and they deserve such a future."

A few days later, Lynn found an opportunity and asked Green to meet at a cafe outside the school. Green seemed a little nervous. He sat opposite Lynn with his head down, his fingers stirring the spoon in the coffee cup nervously.

"Inspector," Green spoke first, his voice low. "I know why you came to me. Regarding the equipment, I... I know I shouldn't steal it, but I really have no other choice. I just want to complete this space show."

Lin En looked at him, his tone calm but serious: "Green, you are indeed wrong. No matter what your original intention is, theft is always illegal. You are a smart young man with talent and ability, but you shouldn't use the wrong means to achieve your goals."

Green gritted his teeth, a trace of shame flashing in his eyes. "I know, Inspector. I originally just wanted to borrow the equipment and return it after the exhibition...but then things became more and more complicated, and I didn't know what to do."

Lynn nodded. "I understand your thinking at the time, but you have to understand that every wrong decision has consequences. Those stolen devices didn't come without a price."

Green raised his head, his tone a little anxious: "Inspector, I am willing to take responsibility. I know I owe a lot, but I will work hard and pay it back as soon as possible."

Lin En looked at him and smiled. "Very good, I hope you think so. In fact, I have already paid for the equipment for you."

Green looked up suddenly, his face full of shock: "What? You paid for me?"

"Yes," Lynn nodded, "but this isn't to let you escape responsibility, it's to give you a chance to start over. I don't want to see you ruin your future because of this."

Green's eyes were complicated, as if he wanted to say something, but he didn't open his mouth.

Lynn continued, "I've already connected you with some odd jobs you can do after school, such as at a nearby repair shop, a courier center, and a library that needs part-time work. You can earn money through these jobs, pay back the money you owe, and learn how to achieve your goals the right way."

Green's eyes were slightly red, and he whispered, "Detective, I don't know how to thank you..."

"No need to thank me." Lin En's tone was calm, but his eyes were firm. "Thank yourself for choosing the right path. Remember, talent is a responsibility. Use it to do the right thing, not let it become a burden."

Green nodded vigorously, his voice filled with determination. "I understand, Inspector. I will work hard to pay off the debt, and I will also use my abilities to do more meaningful things."

Lin En smiled slightly, stood up and patted his shoulder: "Very good, I hope to see you next time after you complete another great work."

Green raised his head, a relaxed smile finally appearing on his face: "I certainly will, Inspector. I won't let you down."

Looking at Green's back as he left the cafe, Lynn breathed a sigh of relief.

The next evening, Lynn stood outside the Manhattan Chronicle building, leaning against her car, waiting for Kate to get off work. The dusk light was soft, and people were coming and going on the street, but Lynn's eyes remained fixed on the door of the building.

After a while, Kate came out of the revolving door with her handbag. When she saw Lynn, she smiled and said, "Inspector, you are really on time." (End of this chapter)
