Chapter 103: Ghost Freak
Roy had long known that his abilities could not be concealed. After all, so many things had happened to him that any normal person would have doubts.

In other words, Roy has a good image, otherwise he would have been taken away for investigation long ago.

But this time, it was different when Roy revealed that he had killed more than fifty mercenaries. This was not something that ordinary people could do. Even a special forces soldier would find it difficult to say what would happen if they encountered such a thing, let alone a senior high school student.

Rather than letting this news break out in the hands of others, it would be better for it to break out in Saltana.

At least this older sister has a good impression of me and should not betray me.

"Hmm - sort of? Suddenly one day, I felt my physical fitness start to improve rapidly. I became omnipotent, like Superman."

Roy rolled up his sleeves and showed off his biceps. He has been gaining weight recently and his muscle lines have become more spectacular.

"Is it a physical mutation? It's still a relatively good situation."

Saltana breathed a sigh of relief.

"Roy, normally all paranormal people have to register with the FEA and be monitored, but I can make you my informant, so you don't have to be monitored. And every time you report a paranormal incident, you can get an informant fee."

This sounds like a good treatment.

"What are the requirements?"

"You will have your detailed information filed and must report at least three supernatural incidents each year, or your informant status will be revoked."

Roy nodded.

"So, can what happened in Falls Town yesterday be counted as one of them?"

"of course can."

"Alright then, I agree! But let me make it clear in advance that I trust you, Sister Saltana. I'll only be your informant. If anyone else wants to take over, I will refuse!"

Roy's words turned Saltana's eyes into beautiful crescents, and she couldn't suppress the smile on her face.

"Then I will also ensure that your file will not be seen by others."

This is the effect you want.

By this time, the two had almost finished eating, and Saltana finally talked about the case that happened last night.

"Roy, what do you know about what happened last night?"

"More than you think, I know who the murderer is."

Saltana was a little surprised.

"You know who the murderer is? Then why don't you report it and catch him?"

Roy felt helpless.

"Because the murderer is a vengeful spirit. He only exists in dreams and cannot be caught in reality."

Hearing this, Saltana seemed to have thought of something. She immediately took out a laptop from her bag, tapped on the keyboard a few times, and showed it to Roy.

"Is the murderer you are talking about this Freddy?"

Roy didn't expect that FEA actually had Freddy's records. It seemed that this department was not doing it for free. Maybe it was established too late and there were not enough people.

Saltana began to talk about the confidential documents of FEA.

"Last year, a dozen teenagers died mysteriously in Elmtown, near Austin. The FEA sent someone to investigate and found only one survivor, Nancy Thompson. The bureau's records were all based on Nancy's own narration."

Isn't this a coincidence?

"Sister Saltana, at the beginning of the year, Nancy just transferred to my high school and was in the same class as me."

"So that's it!"

Saltana nodded in understanding, and Roy continued to express his guess.

"I've fought Freddy in dreams. As long as he's not afraid, he loses his power, but it's very difficult to kill him. We tried to bring him out of the dream, but failed. This guy is alert now, and it might be difficult to deal with him with the old methods."

"Are you saying Freddy is unkillable?"

"Not necessarily! After discussing it with Nancy and the others, I think we can find the reason for Freddy's birth, and from that we might be able to find a way to kill him."

Saltana frowned slightly.

"You have a point. I've had similar issues in previous cases. But the priority now is to stop Freddy from going on a killing spree. If things continue in Elm Town, it will be troublesome. Roy, do you have any ideas?"

This is the biggest trouble!

Falls has a much larger population than Elm, and more teenagers.

Once a large-scale death occurs, it will be impossible to suppress it.

Looking at Saltana's sparkling eyes, Roy told her his plan without hesitation.

"Freddy can only kill by entering the dreams of teenagers. Wouldn't it be okay if he didn't dream?"

Saltana reacted immediately.

"Quick-acting sleeping pills, go straight into deep sleep! Roy, you're a genius!"

With that, an excited Saltana hugged Roy and kissed him on the cheek.

"It's a friendship kiss!"

After the kiss, Saltana realized that her behavior was a bit too excited and quickly explained herself.

"Sister Saltana, how can we upgrade a kiss of friendship to a kiss of love?"

Saltana smiled and patted Roy's shoulder.

"That depends on your performance, little brother!"

Hearing this, Roy reached out and hugged Saltana tightly, letting her know that this younger brother was not small at all.

"Sister Saltana, are you still young?"

Roy's actions made Saltana a little panicked, and she quickly broke free from Roy's arms.

"Ahem! I'm going to try the method you just mentioned. See you tomorrow!"

After saying that, Saltana ran away from the restaurant, muttering to herself as she walked.

"Saltana, how could you have such an idea? Roy is 10 years younger than you!"

Roy watched his elder sister leave the restaurant, then stood up to pay the bill. However, the restaurant owner did not ask Roy for money, but wanted his signature.

"Hey, Roy, I'm a fan of yours. I think you'll become a boxing champion in the future, so your autograph will be very valuable!"

Roy was a little surprised that the restaurant owner was his die-hard boxing fan, but he didn't refuse the other party's kindness.

After drinking, Roy didn't drive and took a slow walk in the town.

While taking a walk, Roy suddenly thought of the female reporter Keller Evans. It seemed that there had been no news about her in the past two days.

So Roy picked up the phone and dialed Keller's number.

"Hello, I'm Molly."

"Molly? Why is it you? Where's Keller?"

Roy felt a little uneasy.

Molly on the other end of the phone hesitated for a moment, then answered Roy frankly.

"Keller wanted to get evidence, so she broke into the club herself and left her phone with me."

Roy frowned. This female reporter still hadn't forgotten her righteous path. She was simply courting death! "When did this happen?"

"Just yesterday."

"Are you still in touch with her?"

"Yes, we got two new phones to keep in touch."

"Tell her to come back quickly. I can't leave now. If something happens to her, no one will be able to help her!"

The next day, two more students from Oak High School died mysteriously in their homes, causing their parents to become emotionally devastated.

Some parents have already organized themselves and gone to the town government to make trouble, but Mayor Simon can do nothing about it.

Last night, Saltana reported to Roy about his plan. The FEA did indeed urgently purchase a batch of fast-acting sleeping pills and had the town government distribute them to the teenagers in the town.

But the result was that no one believed what the town government said. Some people ate and some did not, which led to this kind of thing happening.

This is the sin of the American government itself. It has played so many tricks in the past. How can you expect the people to trust you?
Does anyone know if there is anything mixed in this fast-acting sleeping pill?

The only good news is that none of the teenagers who took the fast-acting sleeping pills were killed by Freddy, which shows that the drug is still effective.

Roy and Nancy were in class when they were suddenly called out by the principal. Then they saw Saltana in the principal's office. There were two men in black standing next to her. They were the two people they saw in the Snowdrift town.

"Roy, Ms. Thompson, we need your help with Freddy."

Nancy looked at Roy curiously. From the tone of the chocolate beauty agent, she could tell that she was quite familiar with Roy.

"Sister Saltana, have you found out anything yet?"

"Yes, the FEA went to Elm Town last night to investigate the rumors about Freddy and has already made some progress."

As expected of the country's violent machine, the investigation is fast.

If Roy were to investigate on his own, it would probably take several days to find any clues.

"So what do we need to do?"

Saltana looked at Nancy, then at Roy.

"We're going to the place where Freddy was born, and this might be a little dangerous."

Roy didn't care about the danger. He just wanted to get rid of Freddy as soon as possible, otherwise he wouldn't dare leave Jennifer and Needy.

Nancy didn't refuse either, she also wanted to get rid of the nightmare of Freddy.

"That's fine with me, but can I bring one more person?"

Saltana was a little strange.

"Who do you want to take with you?"

Jennifer, of course!
Although the Lilith in Jennifer's body has average combat power, she knows a lot of strange magic and may be able to help at a critical moment.

Out of trust in Roy, Saltana allowed Roy to take Jennifer with him.

The three followed Saltana into a van with the FEAR logo on it and left Oak High School.

There were five such assault vehicles, filled with armed combatants. Their equipment seemed to be better than that of the Montenegrin mercenaries at the Gospel Sanatorium that day.

Saltana introduced these fighters to Roy and the others.

"They are members of the First Encounter Assault Recon (FEAR), a mobile unit under the Federal Emergency Management Agency."

Just like the SWAT team under the FBI, they are special police used to deal with big troubles. No wonder they look so sophisticated.

However, FEAR should be more powerful than SWAT. After all, this force sometimes has to face supernatural enemies, which is completely different from dealing with terrorists and drug dealers.

"Sister Saltana, where are we going?"

"Last night, after I got the information from you, I immediately had someone investigate Freddy's birthplace. We finally found it in the archives of the Elm Town government. That's where we're going now, a mental hospital near Elm Town."

As soon as Saltana said that, Roy thought of some movie plots.

The fifth film of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" tells the origin story of Freddy.

It was probably Freddy's mother, a pure nun who was collectively raped by a group of crazy mental patients in a mental hospital and gave birth to Freddy.

This origin story is very consistent with the mysterious routine of early Hollywood, but the subsequent reboot of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" did not play the same way.

Considering that Lilith had once said that she smelled the scent of Samael on Freddy, Roy suspected that Freddy's birth might not be that simple.

Elm Town is not too far from Falls Town, only a few hours' drive. After arriving, the convoy continued to drive towards the mental hospital where Freddy was born.

This mental hospital was also built in an inaccessible place.

At around two o'clock in the afternoon, Roy and his team arrived at their destination.

What caught the eye was a large building in classical style. Judging from the large amount of plants covering the building, it must have been abandoned for at least several decades.

Saltana introduced the situation in the mental hospital.

"Not long after Freddy was born, a serious epidemic broke out in the asylum. Almost all the patients who had been living there died. Only a few doctors escaped and told people outside about the situation. From then on, the asylum was completely abandoned."

It sounds a little weird.

Roy and Jennifer looked at each other, and Jennifer felt the same way.

"Are we just going in like this?"

"Of course not. You still need to wear your gear first. Although the pathogens may have disappeared after more than 30 years, it's still better to be prepared."

Makes sense!
Roy took the professional tactical equipment handed to him by Saltana, including gas mask, helmet, gloves, etc.

After putting on the equipment, there is basically no part of the body that comes into contact with the air.

As the commander on the scene, Saltana gave the order after seeing that everyone was ready.

"Team One, enter the mental hospital and investigate."

The first team of 12 FEAR members followed orders and entered the abandoned mental hospital.

These team members actually have cameras on their tactical helmets, allowing Commander Saltana to remotely see what they are seeing.

The equipment of government departments is different. If the Montenegro mercenaries had this system, it would not be so easy for Roy to set traps.

"Sir, the first team is in position!"

From the footage captured by the camera, we can see that the first team is now in the lobby of the mental hospital. It is a mess here, with various furniture fallen to the ground and weeds growing in the cracks of some floors.

“Check the air quality.”

“Air quality, safety!”

"Very good. You two and the third team will stay at the gate. The second team and the others will follow me in."

After leaving her two followers behind to guard the door, Saltana led the way into the mental hospital.

The other people here included Roy and his two companions, some staff members, and three men in priest robes, who seemed to be from the church.

Speaking of which, since there are demons, monsters, and evil spirits in this world, the church should also have some power.

We can't rely on only one angel, Michael, to put out fires everywhere, right?

As soon as he entered the hall, Roy saw a huge blood-red five-pointed star on the floor.

Does anyone think Nancy (Rooney Mara) in the new Nightmare on Elm Street is pretty?
