Chapter 47 Cell Phone?!
Klein tried and easily opened the envelope. He saw the familiar simplified Chinese characters. Klein had expected this; after all, the diaries Mr. Devil provided at the Tarot Club had always been in Chinese.

"My name is Serris. By the time you see this, I'll be dead."

"Right now I'm trying to watch the commercials to revive it, but I don't know exactly how long it will take."

"I don't know who you are, but you must be the chosen one. I predict that in two hundred years, the situation will be turbulent and the end will be imminent. Demons and monsters will stalk us from without, and the Supreme God will watch us from within. This is truly a critical moment for survival."

Klein stared at the word "Tianzun" and repeated it silently.

"Only the Lord of Freedom and Joy, who believes in the ultimate benevolence, kindness, strength, and virtue, can lead this world out of suffering. To this end, I have established an organization called the Masked Fool, with the mission of saving all living beings."

"I have passed down my name, and every leader is named Serris. I prophesied that you will be the key to whether this world can survive. I sincerely invite you to join the Masked Fool."

After reading the front of the letter, Klein turned it over and saw the words written on the back: "In short, Chosen One, you wouldn't want your friends and family in this world to die in the apocalypse, would you?"

Klein opened his mouth at this, unsure what to say. He put down the letter and looked at the innocent Serris.

Only then did he remember that he didn't actually know Ceris's name.

"My name is Cyrus Bruce, you can just call me Cyrus." Cyrus gave his name.

Klein looked down at the sentence "Every leader's name is Ceres."

"Okay, Mr. Ceres. I roughly know why you're here. However, I still need to think about this matter." Klein politely refused.

He saw Ceris with his head down, fiddling with something.

Tilting his head slightly, his gaze bypassed the obstruction on the table, and Klein was startled again. Serris in front of him was holding something he was quite familiar with.

Mobile phone.

Serris was typing on his phone, replying to someone unknown. Upon hearing Klein's response, Serris stood up swiftly and, without hesitation, turned to leave.

"Okay... then..."

"Wait a moment." Klein behind him made a gesture of support.

"Anything else, Mr. Klein?" Ceres turned his head with a half-smile on his face.

"Ahem," Klein coughed with feigned reserve. "Just now, I wanted to ask... what is this... this... of yours?"

A cell phone! This is a cell phone! Klein thought back to the novels he'd read in his previous life, the stories about people traveling between two worlds to become profiteers. If that were really the case, if it truly was a dual-travel story! Then could he...

"Oh, this is called a cell phone. It's what Serris brought at the beginning. You should already know this, right? Every leader of the Masked Fool is called Serris." [Bah, shameless.]

"Yes." Klein gestured for Ceris to sit down. "We can still talk about this. Right?"

"Of course." Ceris smiled and sat down.

…………

Since the past two days, Xing has been having a strange feeling. She feels that the flame spear in her hand is thirsty for energy.

This is a sign that the main plot is coming, Xing thought so, and she believed it firmly.

"I want to explore!" Xing insisted, her will so bright that nothing could stop her.

Because she, the pioneer, is the freest woman in the universe!
"Birds don't break out of their shells to spend their lives in cages. Even if they are unable to fly, the sky is their home." Xing felt like he was shining, as if chicken wings had grown on the back of his head.

"But this is not a reason for you to destroy public property at will." The inspector across the table rubbed his forehead in distress, thinking that perhaps the person in front of him should not be in the police station, but in a mental hospital.

"But they refresh every day..." Xing still wanted to justify his behavior.

"I change it every day! It's me!" the security guard next to the inspector slammed his hand on the table and roared, "Every morning at six o'clock!"

Xing was shocked: "So it's not a fixed refresh?"

The inspector pressed down the security guard next to him and said helplessly: "Alright, alright, pay the fine and you can leave after that."

A few minutes later, Xing left the police station. It was just a small amount of money, and she didn't care at all. But she couldn't cause trouble for others. It seemed that she couldn't just hit the boxes, road signs, cans and other destructible objects on the roadside anymore.

It's interesting, though. Previously, smashing destructibles gave me nothing, but a few weeks ago, I've been getting credits and crafting materials. It's really baffling.

She planned to go play with Old Neil, and it was time to advance the mission plot.

Old Neil had told her that he worked at Blackthorn Security Company on Zouteland Street, where she had been.

Xing followed his memory and found the Blackthorn Security Company.

When I pushed the door open, the first thing I saw was a little girl sleeping on the table.
