Mystery: When the Fool Meets the Masked Fool

Chapter 78 A New Simulated Universe

Chapter 78 A New Simulated Universe

Klein sighed harshly, "Alright, alright. I'm just an ox, alright. You really don't let me rest at all."

Although he said so, his fatigue was swept away after entering the simulated universe.

Shaking his head, Klein, who was already quite familiar with the simulated universe, walked directly into the portal.

It's like coming home.

A familiar sense of distortion came from all around, and Klein found himself in a desolate land.

The ground is red rock with no plants. It is very quiet with no animal sounds.

Klein strolled here, walking and walking. He couldn't help but yawn.

After walking a little further, Klein found a sculpture.

Among the red rocks, he found a small white stone human head statue standing on the ground, just big enough to be held in the palm of your hand.

Klein stepped forward and squatted, reading the inscription on the stone platform. It read the name "Pharmacist."

Klein knew that this was the true name of the Star God of Fertility.

Looking at the sculpture, Klein felt his vision blur. An impulse surged up, and he reached out to grasp the statue.

He felt the sculpture transform into a bird in his hands, its longevity growing and expanding in concrete form, and then the ochre liquid flowed from between his fingers.

"Let all sentient beings... obtain what they desire... suffer and heal... and live together..."

The grand chanting echoed in Klein's ears, and Klein couldn't help but chant along:

"Let all sentient beings... obtain what they desire... suffer and heal... and live together..."

Klein felt his body change.

He seemed to have turned into a tree, a huge tree, with birds perched on its branches.

This is longevity. This unknown tree can survive far longer than humans.

But trees eventually die.

Not enough, not enough.

He turned into a stone again, and the stone can exist longer than the tree.

Not enough, not enough.

Abundance...Longevity...

The stone began to grow flesh and blood, sprouting buds, and human faces...

What the hell was this? Something loved would madly grow flesh and blood? Klein's hazy consciousness subconsciously complained.

What is longevity? What is abundance?

Klein began to think dazedly.

In many film and television works, the god of life always favors thousands of hairless monkeys.

But is this truly abundant, or just wishful thinking?
Plants began to grow on the desolate land, centered around Klein.

Grass and trees grow from the ground and grow into towering trees.

Animals covered in plants appeared out of nowhere.

Abundance will be reflected in animals, plants, and microorganisms.

This is longevity, this is abundance.

The prosperity of bacteria is also prosperity, and the grandeur of viruses is also grandeur.

Plants begin to wither, but they do not die. Animals begin to rot, but they continue to live.

This is abundance, called longevity...

Blessing.

Klein woke up, and the desolate land was still before him.

[You have a new understanding of abundance, and receive the blessing "Abundance for all beings, One Dharma Realm Mind." When you provide or receive healing, it will spread to the surroundings.]
Klein shook his head, clearing his mind. This wasn't the first time he'd encountered something like this; he'd occasionally come across something that startled him.

Every time he has a different understanding of his fate, just like this time.

Now, this incident should end.

Klein thought and took a step forward. His surroundings changed, and he arrived at a magnificent library.

He looked up and could see numerous galaxies, which were churned into a jelly and flowed slowly like galactic sludge.

The stars wander, change, flicker, and drift.

But they are shrouded in an unknown fog, making it difficult to see clearly.

There is an ancient-looking staircase in the center of the library. The mottled steps spiral all the way to the sky, with no end in sight.

Crane walked up the stairs and followed it as it spiraled upwards.

It only took a few steps to reach the roof.

He looked back and saw a bottomless abyss with no end in sight.

He left the stairs and was still inside the library. A thin white mist drifted around like clouds, and the books on the shelves shone with dots of light. These were the stars he saw from below.

He was deceived.

What you see below is not the starry sky at all, but a fake, false Milky Way.

Klein casually took a book from the bookshelf. He couldn't understand the words on it at all.

"Hello." Someone called Klein.

Klein looked back while patrolling. He saw a young man dressed like a scholar. He had come up behind him at some point.

"Hello." Klein nodded.

"Are you interested in this place?" The scholar placed a book on an empty space on the bookshelf.

Was there originally an empty seat in that position? Klein's spiritual intuition reacted instinctively.

The scholar seemed to notice Klein's confusion.

"In this simulated world, everything can be changed," said the scholar.

"Ah? You know this world is a simulation?" Klein was surprised.

"Of course." The scholar nodded as a matter of course, "Because I'm not a simulation, just like you."

"So, you are also a Masked Fool?" Klein asked.

“Of course not,” the scholar replied. “I’m a fiction historian.”

This was the first time Klein heard this name.

"You're pretty good." The fictional historian commented on Crane.

"Well, what's good about it specifically?"

"You are a fortune teller, which means you can know a lot about the future."

"In fact, divination isn't omnipotent." Klein wasn't surprised that the other person knew he was a fortune teller.

"That's even more true." The fictional historian snapped his fingers. "Those who predict the future are liars, those who foretell the future are prophets."

Klein repeated this sentence, feeling that it made a lot of sense.

“The future, like the past, can be changed,” the fictional historian continues.

"The past?" Klein was a little confused. "How can the past be changed?"

The fictional historian looked at Klein. "I was just about to say you had some understanding, but you're still a fool?"

"Then could you please teach me?" Klein asked modestly.

"Okay," the fictional historian said, looking rather uninterested. "So, what is 'history'?"
