Mystery: When the Fool Meets the Masked Fool

Chapter 79 Encounter with the Chicken Wing Boy

Chapter 79 Encounter with the Chicken Wing Boy
"What is 'history'? Um, history is the real things that happened in the past?" Klein tried to explain.

"Not really," the fictional historian retorted, shaking his head. "History isn't real; it can be objectively erased."

"If one country destroys another, then its history books will describe how trashy the destroyed country was and how great the destroyer was as a savior."

Klein suddenly realized that history was false and could be changed at will.

"Well, since history can be changed, the past can also be changed," the fictional historian explained.

"You're trying to change the subject," Klein retorted immediately.

"You say I'm changing the subject? Well, for example, do you know what my name is?"

"You didn't say that."

"Yes, but my name was chosen in the 'past.' But as long as you don't know, I can be called either Klein or Leonard now."

"As long as the past itself is blurred and the effects of the past are changed, then the past itself is changed."

“We need to make sure that the past no longer exists in the past. It only exists in the present, in your mind and mine, to be embellished by anyone.”

As Klein pondered, the fictional historian patted him on the shoulder. "You will become an ancient scholar in the future, able to draw strength from history. In that case, you must begin learning how to revise history now."

"Ancient Scholar, is that the name of the subsequent potion from the Diviner?"

"No, it's your adjacent path. But you'll turn around later."

"So you're predicting my future? You just said that those who predict the future are liars." Klein quipped.

"No, it's a divination," the fictional historian replied with a smile.

"In short, try to fool the world from now on. This will help you in your future roles." The fictional historian took a book from the bookshelf.

"Are you so sure that I will become an ancient scholar in the future?"

"You can also choose not to jump. It's your freedom." The fictional historian took out a pen and began to make corrections in the book.

"What are you doing?" Klein leaned over to take a look, but couldn't understand anything at all.

"Don't disturb me, I'm saving the world. Go away." The fictional historian waved his hand impatiently.

Klein felt the world spinning, and the next second he appeared on a busy street.

"Is this... so capricious?" Klein shook his head helplessly.

Klein began to look at the new map again.

This was a cheerful-looking street, a word he couldn't describe except "cheerful." It looked like a world similar to the one he'd lived in before crossing over.

The streets are filled with cheerful advertisements and the pedestrians on the roadside are all smiling.

There are even dancing billboards.

When I looked up, I saw a flying car flying through the sky.

Well, maybe a little more advanced than the era before Klein traveled through time.

Klein walked relaxedly on the street, even the air was filled with a pleasant sweet scent.

On the tall buildings hung all sorts of advertisements, none of which Klein had ever seen; on the roadside were various decorations, such as automatic musical instruments or figurines with heads shaped like alarm clocks.

For some reason, when Klein stared at the alarm clock figure, it seemed surprised that Klein could see it.

Klein stopped as he passed a coffee shop.

Music, laughter, the aroma of coffee, the crisp sound of cups clinking...

Even without seeing it with his own eyes, Klein could guess how stylish the scene behind the door was.

He tilted his head to look at it, and wanted to go in and try it.

Too bad he's a poor bastard.

The door suddenly opened and a waiter came to Klein.

"Sir, a gentleman would like to invite you to have a cup of coffee." The waiter had a warm smile on his face.

Klein was led into the coffee shop and to a table by the window.

"It's Mr. Sunday who invites you." The waiter smiled.

This Sunday was very handsome, with light gray-blue hair and soft features. He was wearing a slim, straight, and neat white suit. The most impressive thing was the gray-white wings that extended slightly from behind his ears and the golden ring with several spikes floating behind his head.

This is a chicken wing boy.
