Chapter 445 Only Suffering for King Li

Chapter 445 Only Li Tianwang Can Suffer

Chaosheng Temple in Dali is nestled against Cangshan Mountain to the west and faces Erhai Lake to the east. The monk Dayuan stayed overnight at the temple and awoke from meditation.

In his daze, he saw Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva being turned into a stone statue, and Nezha also having his appearance changed.

"Is it a premonition... or is it something that's actually happening?"

The monk left the pilgrimage temple and went to tell the person by the roadside about it.

Upon arriving at the courtyard of a house by the roadside, the monk first saw the Peacock King Bodhisattva picking corn kernels. The Goddess of Cangshan had cultivated five acres of land on Cangshan Mountain, all planted with corn. The corn stalks, stripped bare, were piled up like a small mountain.

"Monk, are you here to beg for alms?" the peacock asked the monk.

"No, I'm here to see Master Lu," the monk replied.

"Wait a minute, he's gone out now."

"You don't look too well?" Peacock asked.

“I saw something strange. There might still be unresolved matters in the west,” the monk said to the peacock.

"What else could have happened? My younger brother has already been reincarnated," the peacock said calmly.

"Bodhisattva, have you noticed that since you came to the Kingdom of Wonderful Fragrance, there have been many more peacocks in the mountains and forests?" the monk said to the peacocks.

"Really? I didn't even notice."

"These birds are so annoying, they spread their tails whenever they see someone."

The original form of the peacock is colorful, but the wild peacocks that inhabit the Dali area are blue peacocks, some are white peacocks, and there are rare green peacocks. Their colors are all very uniform, which is considered ugly in the eyes of the Peacock King Bodhisattva.

I returned by the roadside in the evening.

"Where have you been? Baldy's been waiting for you all afternoon," Peacock said to the roadside.

“I went to Flower and Fruit Mountain and brought you some fruit. It seems that these fruits can grow here. I will try to plant them on the mountain tomorrow,” the roadside replied.

"You haven't eaten yet, have you?" asked the monk by the roadside.

"Let's skip dinner for now, it's like this..." The monk told Lu Bian about the illusions he had seen. Lu Bian had only been home for five minutes when he took the monk back and flew towards Little Spirit Mountain.

"I might know the guy you described who turned Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva into a stone statue."

"Who is he?" the monk asked seriously.

“You should remember him too; you were the first person to meet him.”

"That guy is like a lunatic, he's always saying weird things."

Lu Bian and the monk arrived at Xiaoling Mountain. Xiaoling Mountain was brightly lit, and the monsters, dressed in the clothes and armor of heavenly soldiers and generals, were training in the square. In the center of the square was a huge eight-armed demon god.

"It seems that what you are seeing is something that has already happened; it is Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva conveying a message to you."

The monks and the roadside were outside Landa Monastery, and the plaque that read "Landa Monastery" on the gate was put back.

The two of them had visited Landa Monastery several times, and each time they saw a different scene.

"That thing doesn't seem to be a stone statue." The roadside figure turned around and pointed at the three-headed, eight-armed demon god Nezha, one of Nezha's eight arms holding a Vajra pestle and striking at the roadside.

He snatched Nezha's vajra from the roadside and struck the eight-armed demon with his other hand, the vajra piercing Nezha's chest.

"Buddha Wutian, someone's here!!" The little demon hurriedly went to report, and Wutian appeared directly between the roadside and Nezha.

“We meet again, Mr. Lu… and Kim Gyo-gak.”

"You heretics! Die!!"

Upon seeing Wutian, the monk felt an inexplicable surge of anger, wanting to give Wutian a good beating.

The monk threw a punch, but it was caught by a finger extended by Wutian.

With another flick of his finger, Wutian sent the monk flying out of Little Spirit Mountain. "Arrogant," Wutian said, looking in the direction the monk had disappeared.

The blade tip suddenly emerged from Wutian's chest, and the person standing behind Wutian by the roadside delivered a "Hell's Sword" strike to him.

Wu Tian slapped his chest hard, knocking the "Sword of Hell" out of his body, and then turned around and struck the roadside with a palm.

The eight-armed Nezha had somehow appeared behind the roadside and was slapped into Nezha's arms by Wutian.

Nezha used his four arms to hug the roadside tightly, and the roadside could hear the sound of its own bones cracking.

"This magnetic field... how did Nezha become like this?"

With his ribs crushed, it was a little difficult for him to speak by the roadside, so he used both hands to pry open Nezha's embrace.

The bones broke but the cells regenerated in the blink of an eye. The roadside bumped its forehead into the chin of the eight-armed Nezha and burst out of Nezha's embrace.

"I've simply awakened another side of Nezha; this is the most authentic version of him," Wutian proactively answered the question posed by the roadside.

"I see."

"You also have a suppressed side to your heart, right?" Wutian asked the roadside.

“Everyone should have one, right? I’m not special.” He said to Wutian by the roadside.

"Why do you suppress your other side?" Wutian asked.

“This is my own business, and I don’t want to talk about it with you,” Lu Bian said to Wu Tian.

"Do you consider this your privacy?" Wu Tian asked.

"Are you interfering with my privacy?" Lu Bian looked at Wu Tian.

"I haven't done that yet."

“If you do it, I’ll have no choice but to die,” he said to Wutian by the roadside.

"Aren't you telling me to die?" Wutian asked.

"Honestly, why should I talk to you? You're a lunatic." Lu Bian tapped his forehead in annoyance.

They evacuated at lightning speed from the roadside, retrieved the monk from a distance, and then sped off towards the South China Sea.

"Are we flying south?" The monk was being held by a hand by the roadside, with the dark sea beneath him, the magnetic field indicating his direction.

"That eight-armed demon is Nezha in disguise. We need to inform his family about this."

The monk understood that going to the South China Sea by the roadside meant going to Mount Luojia to find the wanderer Huian, Muzha.

Even under the cover of night, Mount Loka in the South China Sea is illuminated. Seeing the warm glow of Mount Loka amidst the darkness of the ocean is very reassuring.

Lu Bian and the monk arrived at Mount Luojia at night, but everyone on the mountain had already gone to bed. So Lu Bian and the monk waited at the foot of the mountain for dawn, and then they went up Mount Luojia after dawn.

Muzha didn't sleep all night; he couldn't fall asleep because of the bad feelings in his heart.

"A guest has arrived."

The Dragon Girl, carrying a jade bottle, told Muzha to accompany her.

When Muzha saw that the visitor was a human form of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva by the roadside, he felt a little strange.

"What! This is true! I'll go find my father right away." Mu Zha's face was rather grim.

"What use is Li Tianwang? I heard his Linglong Pagoda isn't even lit anymore. Are we summoning Li Tianwang just to have him killed by Nezha?" someone asked from the roadside.

“It might work. Maybe Nezha can recover after killing his father once.” Muzha nodded to the roadside.

"The person Nezha hates most in his life is his father. Perhaps killing his father once will resolve the inner demons in Nezha."
