Chapter 499 Luther Kills Steppenwolf

Kara-Zo El left Earth and flew towards Mars.

When Kara saw the shattered sparks, her heart skipped a beat.

Mars is completely dead. Perhaps in billions of years, this broken half of Mars will be able to reunite into a new Mars.

"Bruce..."

Kara searched among the shattered Martian debris, but she sensed no signs of life.

In outer space, Kara could only search for Bruce with her eyes; the vacuum blocked out all sound.

"Bruce's power is called magnetic field rotation. He taught me about it, but I couldn't calm my mind and couldn't bear the tedium of cultivation."

Kara, recalling the ultimate boundless energy technique Bruce had taught her, hastily tried to learn it and pinned her hopes of finding Bruce on mastering the power of magnetic field rotation.

In the quiet of the universe, Kara found peace within herself.

This was for old Bruce Wayne, who treated her like a father.

The solar radiation in every cell of Kara circulated within her body in the form of ultimate boundless qigong.

Solar radiation is the energy that the sun transmits outward in the form of electromagnetic waves. For Kara, a Kryptonian who can absorb yellow solar radiation, the basic magnetic field rotation is not difficult at all; it's just a matter of whether she wants to do it or not.

She gave up training with Bruce in magnetic field rotation because she believed that solar power and magnetic field rotation were just two ways of using energy for her. She trusted the innate talent of Kryptonians, which they could master without training.

Supergirl Kara entered the path amidst shattered Mars...

……

On Apokolips, Dark Lord Darkseid opened his eyes and rose from his throne.

Darkseid here is just one of the Dark Lord's countless multiverse avatars; this is a parallel universe that has slightly piqued his interest.

"Karl is dead..."

Darkseid senses the disappearance of the Omega effect he left in his adopted son, Karl Al.

Darkseid was not omniscient, so he did not know the specific cause of his adopted son Karl El's death.

He ordered Carl and Steppenwolf to conquer Earth, a planet that held something of great importance to him: the Anti-Life Equation.

Carl was dead, yet he could sense that Steppenwolf was still alive.

Sure enough, Carl shouldn't have pleaded for Steppenwolf, that good-for-nothing. Going to conquer Earth with Steppenwolf resulted in him not contributing anything at all.

Darkseid wants to go to Earth.

As this thought arose in his mind, he sensed that the end of the universe was also imminent.

Darkseid narrowed his eyes slightly. As he contemplated how he should quietly infiltrate Earth and take control of all life on it from the darkness, the feeling of the universe ending vanished.

Darkseid almost laughed.

He was able to foresee the end of the universe because he foresaw the demise of himself (his clone).

There exists a special being on Earth capable of erasing his universe from its very origin. By secretly controlling the lives of all humankind on Earth, he also controls the one who can interfere with the very source of this universe.

Karl El, son of Apokolips, was a beloved adopted son of Darkseid who was saddened by his death.

When Carl was 17, Darkseid gave him a mission as a coming-of-age ceremony: to destroy the Green Lantern Corps throughout the universe.

Kal-El did it. He destroyed the Green Lantern Corps' headquarters, killed all Green Lantern Ring holders, and conquered every civilized planet where a Green Lantern Ring resided, transforming the intelligent life on those planets into members of an endless army of Parademons.

Many years ago, the Green Lantern Corps discovered Darkseid's existence and launched a massive expedition to defeat the tyrant. Two-thirds of the Green Lantern Corps perished before reaching Darkseid, but the expedition ultimately ended with the Green Lantern Corps' retreat, and Apokolips became an entity the Green Lantern Corps could no longer interfere with.

For Darkseid, the Green Lantern Corps and these righteous green-skinned beings in the universe were utterly baffling, leaving a thorn in his side.

Carl's coming-of-age ceremony at age 17 was Darkseid's heartwarming act of removing this little thorn.

……

……

Steppenwolf slashed at the floor inside the bunker with all his might, feeling the Mother Box calling to him from the space at the very bottom of the bunker.

Once he obtains a Mother Box, he can use it to open the Burst Channel, allowing more Parademons to come to Earth, and even Darkseid, the ruler of Apokolips, to descend upon Earth.

The strongest concrete in history is no joke; after adapting to a hundred times the Earth's gravity, Steppenwolf began digging downwards. For him, obtaining the Mother Box was also a way to save himself.

Lex Luther is laughing in the monitoring room on New Zealand Island.

To reach the very bottom of the bunker, Steppenwolf, this alien monster, needs to carve a tunnel through fifty meters of epic concrete, all while enduring at least a hundred times the force of Earth's gravity.

Before reaching the bottom of the bunker, Steppenwolf will die from extreme gravity.

"The following is... three hundred times the force of gravity."

Lex Luthor pressed the button, his eyes fixed on Steppenwolf on the screen.

Steppenwolf experienced tinnitus again, and then he pressed himself against the ground, unable to move.

He was still able to breathe because the armor on his body provided support, preventing his body cavity from bursting.

He rolled his eyes, which were bloodshot, and he could feel that he was about to lose his sight.

Without giving Steppenwolf any hope, Lex Luthor picked up his phone and saw a piece of news that wasn't good for him, so he immediately increased the gravity Steppenwolf was experiencing by five hundred times.

Under five hundred times the force of gravity, Steppenwolf died instantly.

The Steppenwolf's body was intact, but the fine details inside his body had been blasted apart by gravity, and it was beyond repair.

Apokolips only conquered planets where intelligent life was created and civilizations were established. Life might exist on planets with gravity more than 100 times greater than normal, but civilizations are unlikely to arise. Steppenwolf had never visited a planet with extreme gravity in his entire life. Before he died, he regretted why he had foolishly jumped into the white bunker, which he knew was a trap.

Unlike regular concrete, which is grayish-black, epic concrete is as white as snow and has a very delicate feel to the touch, like touching a person's smooth skin.

Lex Luthor saw from the surveillance footage that the Parademons, now without Steppenwolf's command, were leaving the desolate central Australian desert and flying towards areas inhabited by humans, intending to build their nests in nearby hidden locations.

Luther couldn't allow the Parademons to follow their instincts and carry out a series of activities such as building nests, kidnapping humans, and transforming them into Parademons. He pressed the missile launch button and manually remotely controlled the missile from the monitoring room, aiming it at the Parademon army and launching it.
