Chapter 500: It is my past experiences that have made me who I am today.
Barry Allen stopped running; he needed to eat something to replenish his energy.
As soon as he stopped, his wristwatch started vibrating, and a series of messages were received by the wristwatch.
Barry Allen was eating a KFC family bucket in a corner of the park while browsing important messages sent to him by others on his wristwatch.
The first and latest message on the wristband terminal was from Lex Luthor, who reported that he had wiped out Steppenwolves and the descending Parademons, and inquired about Bruce's situation with Carl Elden.
Reading Kara's message, she's searching for Bruce among the shattered Martian debris, a search that could take a long time.
Did the battle between Bruce and Karl El destroy Mars?
"Did we stop the Apokolips invasion?"
This is a message sent by Barry Allen Jr., who has also stopped somewhere on Earth.
"Yes, we've wiped out the attacking Karl El, Steppenwolves, and Parademons... Perhaps it's time for me to go home."
Barry Allen also sent a message.
"Don't worry, I'll take the Mother Box I'm carrying to my universe. I have the capacity to handle it there."
Lex Luthor: "Well, goodbye then. Good morning, good afternoon, and good night."
Barry Allen: "With 'The Truman Show,' sometimes I have a feeling that we seem to live in a world just like Truman's."
Barry Allen Jr.: "Are you leaving? Let's have dinner with Mom and Dad before you go."
Barry Allen: "No, I'm afraid I'll regret it after dinner."
Barry Allen devoured three KFC family buckets in one go, and once he was almost digested, he sprinted away.
Barry Allen exceeded the speed of light and plunged into the Bowl of Time.
The "Bowl of Time" is a special place that can only be reached by exceeding the speed of light and time itself. Here, one can see the entire timeline, much like a special four-dimensional space.
Barry Allen is rushing back to a point in time.
He had discussed the possibility of returning with old Bruce.
Bruce Wayne Sr. believed that the timeline extended by Barry's change to the day his father bought canned tomatoes was an extension of a possibility. Before Barry actually changed it, it was just a possibility, but after he made the change, it became a reality, just like in quantum mechanics, where the possibility becomes another reality after being observed by Barry.
Even if Barry goes back in time to erase his actions of changing history, the other reality that he made real will not disappear.
Whether the new timeline created by his actions will disappear as he restores history is a question that cannot be verified for The Flash, Barry Allen.
It can only be verified if Barry Jr. crosses timelines and comes to his own timeline and universe someday.
Barry resolutely returned to the day his mother died. He went back to the supermarket where his father bought canned tomatoes, corrected his behavior, and then began running towards the future, running until the day he left.
Barry returned to Midtown, back to his small apartment.
Nearly eight years have passed since he left, but in his own world, only half an hour has gone by.
Barry Allen turned on his computer in his apartment and started searching for news related to Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
Superman exists, or maybe it's Clark Kent.
Batman also looks like a familiar figure in his forties, not as kind and approachable as the older Bruce Wayne.
Wonder Woman...
Barry rubbed his nose.
Bruce Wayne Sr. was truly a caring elder, intentionally or unintentionally taking Barry to various banquets and occasions, helping Barry overcome his shyness and naivety. This was something even a biological father couldn't do, but Bruce Wayne Sr. did.
"Hey Barry, are you asleep?"
Suddenly, a video call from the butler, Alfred, popped up on the computer.
“Sir, I’m still awake. Is there another emergency somewhere? Is everyone else busy?” Barry asked quickly.
“A man broke into the house. He’s an old man who claims to be Bruce Wayne. He told me he knows you. Do you know him?” Butler Alfred turned his phone toward old Bruce Wayne. The next second, Barry Allen almost popped his eyes out.
“He’s in terrible shape right now. He fell from the sky and smashed a huge hole in the roof.” Alfred shook his head.
"I'll be there soon!"
Barry Allen instantly transformed into The Flash, a smile on his face.
Sure enough, his departure did not cause the world of old Bruce to disappear; the fact that he still exists is proof of that.
Barry ran from Midtown to Gotham, and Alfred had just hung up the phone and put it back on the table when Barry arrived.
“Bruce, where are you?” Barry shouted as he entered the Batcave.
"Keep your voice down, Master Barry, the master is asleep."
"Which gentleman is it?" Barry asked Alfred.
“Of course it’s that Mr. Wayne I know,” Alfred said to Barry with a smile.
"Do you know how he got here?" Alfred asked Barry.
"I might know."
“This is a long story, Alfred, let’s talk about it over coffee.”
Barry Allen speculated that Bruce Wayne the Elder might have transcended time and space due to the immense energy released during the destruction of Mars, and that was indeed the case. However, it wasn't that simple; the Omega effect latent within Carl El's body played a significant role.
When his body was being dismantled by "Avici Hell," the Omega Effect also attacked Bruce Wayne, sending him to dimension after dimension, each worse than the last.
Old Bruce resisted the Omega effect, breaking free from the torment of one dimension after another, but he was unable to return to his original universe and was sent to Barry's universe by some mysterious force.
"Barry, you mean in another timeline Bruce defeated Superman who had submitted to Apokolips, their battle destroyed Mars, and Bruce was already eighty years old?"
"Yes."
“Now I can rest assured,” Alfred said.
“Mr. Alfred, what are you relieved about?” Barry asked.
“Bruce will live a long time; he won’t ruin himself by dying young,” Alfred laughed.
Inside Wayne Manor, Batman Bruce Wayne silently opened the guest room door and stepped into the dark room as a shadowy figure.
The fact that a hole was smashed through the ceiling of Wayne Manor could not be kept from Batman. However, when he asked Alfred, Alfred replied that no one had attacked the manor and that it was just a minor accident.
Batman reached out to pull back the covers on the guest room bed, only to find several pillows underneath!
"It's so missed."
A voice sounded behind Batman, and Batman quickly elbowed the person behind him.
The lights in the guest room suddenly turned on. Batman squinted, but the sudden light switch wouldn't affect his attack.
Batman elbowed someone, but the other person skillfully deactivated his Batman mask and removed it.
"..."
Bruce saw clearly the old man who had removed his mask, and he was somewhat speechless.
The other person really resembled his deceased father.
Looking at the other person's gray hair and wrinkled face, Batman had an absurd idea.
Perhaps Father Thomas Wayne didn't die in Crime Alley; he's home now.
This might be a surprise Alfred wanted to give him.
