When Cohen arrived, Hagrid was already returning from Beauxbatons' carriage with a cheerful gait.
The light blue carriage was covered in snow, like a frosty pumpkin, and Hagrid looked like a farmer who had just harvested his crops.
"Cohen!" Hagrid called out as soon as he saw Cohen in the distance. "You were right! Guess what—she agreed! To dance with me!"
“Great,” Cohen said, “but there’s something else we need to talk about inside—Hagrid.”
With a puzzled look on Hagrid's face, Cohen pulled him into Hagrid's house.
“Even if she agrees, you still have to be careful about some sensitive topics,” Cohen said, “especially about her half-giant identity.”
"Huh?" Hagrid didn't quite understand. "But she should be too—"
“The key isn’t whether she is—but whether she can say it,” Cohen said. “Try to pick topics that aren’t racially sensitive, even things like her experience raising Blasttails or Thestrals…”
“Oh, oh, oh—” Hagrid nodded repeatedly, gratefully saying to Cohen, “Thank you so much, Cohen—I actually really wanted to…”
"Then don't even think about it now," Cohen sighed.

Why do I feel like I've been scolded?
However, the system's offensive capabilities are still too rudimentary compared to the Earl's, and it can no longer pose any threat to Cohen.
At 7:10, after Cohen trimmed Hagrid's brown furry suit, he returned to the dormitory with Harry Ron to change.
The unicorn, the basilisk, and Sissoko waited in the corridor on the eighth floor, with Sissoko, who was nagging the basilisk, keeping them from running off.
Faced with Sissoko's words like "You're not allowed to hold hands with that brat Harry" and "You're too young to know the ugliness of humans," the little basilisk turned its head away from Sissoko in an extremely rebellious manner—it felt that Harry was quite nice, and Harry would help it do whatever it wanted. They even ate a lot of food in the school kitchen that afternoon.
Unlike the three in the hallway, Harry and Ron in the dormitory both seemed very nervous—because they had changed into their respective formal robes.
Harry wore a dark green robe that resembled his school uniform, while Ron wore a dark purple, old-fashioned robe with lace trim, which looked like something a medieval lord would wear.
Harry was nervous because he couldn't dance, while Ron's nervousness was more of a frustration, because the clothes looked like a skirt.
"Did you forget to wear black stockings?" Cohen raised his eyebrows.
“I can’t possibly wear that thing!” Ron struggled to cut off the lace of the robe with a cutting spell, leaving only rough, loose threads at the edges of the garment.
"At least... it doesn't feel like a wedding dress anymore?" Harry said uncertainly.
“It’s okay, Cassiopeia—I mean, Cathy won’t care about any of this,” Cohen said.
“Oh! Right—I have to go find Ruby,” Harry said hastily. “And I need to practice dancing—she said she’s not very good at it either.”
"You guys actually talked?" Ron said in disbelief. "Cathy doesn't talk to me."
"That means you didn't win her over," Cohen said with a straight face. Although it was a bit odd to send one of his own fathers to seduce his friend, anyone who didn't laugh in this situation must have been sucked by a Dementor.
Upon arriving at the corridor outside the lounge, they each led their own dance partners.
"Where's Hermione?" Ron asked for the first time since leaving the lounge.
Harry, on the other hand, grabbed the little basilisk and started chattering away about the quick dance tips he'd learned from the others.
The little basilisk was also learning very seriously, nodding as it went, which made Sissoko's teeth itch with envy, and he made a clicking sound. "I don't know, maybe it's already gone to find Krum," Cohen said.
"Maybe she's still in her dorm." Ron shook his head, still clinging to hope and unwilling to believe reality.
When they arrived at the lobby, it was still more than ten minutes before eight o'clock, and the auditorium doors had not yet opened.
More and more students are flocking here. Unlike the usual uniform black robes, the students are now dressed in all sorts of colors, like at a graduation party in some middle schools.
Cohen regretted choosing the gray robe before the start of the semester; it looked a bit too unassuming.
"Where's Hermione?" Ron jumped up and down in the crowd, searching for Hermione.
Sissoko has been sidelined—which suits him perfectly, as he can finally focus on spying on Harry and the Basilisk.
“You haven’t uttered a single word since you left the house except for Hermione…” Cohen said helplessly.
"Really?" Ron turned his head away, his ears turning bright red, clearly not wanting to discuss the topic.
The oak front door was opened, and Durmstrang and Beauxbatons students were entering the foyer from outside the main entrance.
The flowerbed outside has been transformed into a small, hollowed-out cave. Hundreds of lively little fairies are fluttering their shimmering wings among the rose bushes nearby, some perched on the flowers, and others on the Santa Claus or reindeer statues inside the cave.
Krum and Karkaroff walked at the front, and next to Krum was a girl in a blue robe—Hermione.
She had clearly made some incredible changes to her messy hair and overall appearance, to the point that even Cohen almost didn't recognize her at first glance without looking at her soul.
Next up was Fleur from Beauxbatons, whose dance partner was Roger Davis from Ravenclaw, whom Cohen wasn't very familiar with, but the man seemed a bit eccentric—as if he was incredulous that he'd managed to get Fleur on the date.
"Where's Hermione?" Ron asked for the third time.
“Didn’t you see him? The one next to Krum.” Cohen pointed him out.
"What?!" Ron's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.
Cohen could feel as if a concentrated emotional bomb had suddenly exploded next to him—the air was filled with jealousy, regret, and anger, and all of it came from the same person.
Sigh, humanity.jpg
"That's Hermione?!" Harry, holding the little basilisk's hand, came closer and asked in disbelief. "She looks... nothing like Hermione anymore..."
"Hello, Harry!" she greeted as she passed Harry. "Hello, Cohen!"
“It looks great, Hermione,” Harry said, which made Hermione smile happily.
“It’s working very well,” Cohen said. “Ron, what do you think—Ron?”
Cohen turned his head and could no longer see Ron, and Sissoko was gone too.
"Yay! Mom's finally not watching me anymore!" the little snake monster cheered.
"???"
Harry looked at the little basilisk in horror.
"Wait—what did you just say?"
