Who let this Dementor into Hogwarts!

Chapter 436 Why did you provoke him?

Chapter 436 Why did you provoke him?

A short while later, Professor McGonagall's hurried footsteps and disbelieving questions could be heard outside.

"What do you mean Professor Umbridge has mutated into a shark and is biting people in the classroom?"

Professor McGonagall pursed her lips and squeezed through the crowd of students at the door into the classroom, wanting to see what absurd situation had occurred—as soon as she entered, she saw the ugly four-limbed shark in the back corner of the classroom.

"Good heavens—where did this come from—" Professor McGonagall's eyes widened as she rushed quickly toward the reporters surrounding Umbridge.

“Ms. Umbridge suddenly transformed into this and then attempted to attack the students,” a reporter said. “This will definitely be on tomorrow’s headlines—no, today’s evening paper—Professor McGonagall, as Dolores Umbridge’s colleague, you know she’s actually a…emmmm…”

The reporter thought for a long time but couldn't recall the term he had heard from a student, so he looked down and searched for the notes he had hastily jotted down.

"Ah, yes, Dakuwaga?"

After the reporter finished speaking, he looked at Professor McGonagall with a curious gaze.

“Of course I don’t know!” Professor McGonagall said. “You mean…this is Dolores?”

“That’s exactly what we saw,” said the brown-haired reporter. “It’s unbelievable, but she does look a bit like this shark—I guess she might have been infiltrating the Ministry of Magic for a long time…”

“Yes, at the Ministry of Magic… having been lying in wait for a long time…” another reporter hurriedly asked something.

"You're not allowed to steal my report!" The brown-haired, curly-haired man grabbed the writing board from the other person's hand. "I came up with it first!"

"Whoever sends it out first gets the advantage." The reporter snatched the whiteboard away menacingly.

Professor McGonagall ignored the reporters' argument and had the reporter who cast the Ironclad Charm remove the spell. Umbridge pounced on her the next moment, but Professor McGonagall simply waved her wand and summoned a thick rope to bind her.

……

The class ended before it even started, and because of the suddenness of the event, Cohen and his classmates got a short "vacation," while Umbridge was taken to the school hospital by Professor McGonagall, who then went to contact Dumbledore and the Ministry of Magic.

“Cohen, did you do this too?” Harry asked Cohen on the way back to the Gryffindor common room.

“What? Umbridge is clearly a shapeshifter to begin with.” Cohen raised his eyebrows. “I can’t turn a person into a monster, can I?”

“That’s impossible,” Hermione said, “but…how do you know—I mean…”

“I can make prophecies,” Cohen casually offered, “I saw them in the crystal ball—”

"So back then in Umbridge's office..." Harry said, "you used that to blackmail her?"

“Not really, she’s not worth my time to blackmail,” Cohen said. “I knocked her out.”

"!" Hermione looked at Cohen in horror.

“You guys knocked Snape out too,” Cohen said.

“But what if she tells the Ministry of Magic—oh well…we absolutely mustn’t tell anyone…” Hermione said worriedly.

“Don’t worry, I used the ‘Forget Everything’ method,” Cohen said.

"You guys think that now that she's become like this, she won't be able to teach at Hogwarts anymore?" Ron said wistfully. "I originally thought Cohen's comment about soon having to change teachers was just to comfort us—"

“Although it still seems very unlikely…” Hermione’s brow remained furrowed, “there is no doubt that a creature that has attacked students can’t be a professor—Lupin never attacked anyone, and he still resigned because of the parents’ demands, didn’t he?”

“I really want to go to the school hospital to see what’s going to happen to her next,” Harry said with great anticipation.

“You heard what Professor McGonagall said before she left.” Hermione pursed her lips. “You’re not allowed to go to the school hospital this morning to watch the commotion unless you’re really sick.”

“I can pretend to break my leg,” Ron said.

“I could really break your legs,” Cohen said. “You’re welcome. I’ve been thinking about doing that since freshman year.”

“I’ve always remembered it.” Harry gave a dry laugh. “I think it was before the Quidditch match when Snape was the referee.”

“Things are different now. I’m not charging you anymore,” Cohen said, rubbing his hands together. “I’m just itching for a fight—”

“Then you’re not allowed to use Dementors,” Ron said. “Let’s have a little sparring—” “And you’re not allowed to use your wand either,” Harry added.

"Do you all have to fight?" Hermione asked, rubbing her forehead.

“Hermione, you don’t understand. I’ve always had a slight doubt about Cohen’s fighting ability,” Harry said. “He used to bully the kids on Privet Drive—even Dudley wouldn’t dare mess with him—but he looked as skinny as me…”

When Umbridge awoke from her coma, she was lying in a hospital bed in the school hospital, surrounded by reporters and Cornelius Fudge, who was talking to Barty Crouch with a serious expression.

"Minister, she's awake!" a reporter reminded him.

"Understood." Fudge spoke to Umbridge in a way that avoided her gaze, as if he didn't want to look at her.

"What are you? Why are you impersonating Dolores Umbridge?"

The reporters started snapping photos again.

Umbridge's heart skipped a beat—she remembered what had happened before she lost consciousness.

“I am Dolores Umbridge!” Umbridge shrieked. “Minister! I need a medical checkup! That—”

Whenever she mentions Cohen Norton, her mouth immediately becomes uncontrollable.

"The results of the examination show you are a half-Dakuvaga," Fudge said with disgust. "As Minister of Magic, I order you to reveal your true identity!"

“I am Dolores Umbridge!” Umbridge stared hysterically at Fudge, her skin beginning to turn that monstrous gray again. “Minister! I know everything I need to know! About…”

Umbridge began trying to use the information she knew to prove her identity, from her assignment as a prosecutor at Hogwarts to her conversation with Fudge the day before yesterday—

"And what you said about Dumbledore—"

"Enough!" Fudge snapped. "You stole—"

“Minister, if she knows everything Umbridge knows, can’t you deny that she is actually that official—” a reporter interjected, making a speculative attempt to provoke a conversation.

“I’ve already said it, the Ministry of Magic has a very strict vetting mechanism for its officials, and it’s impossible for them to let a mongrel monster in…” Fudge said impatiently.

“I’m not that filthy bastard!” Umbridge roared in a piercing scream. “I’m not!”

But nobody cared about her words; Fudge didn't even want to look at her again.

"Minister, the current facts have already revealed many loopholes. Does this mean that the Dementors' escape from Azkaban is also a consequence of these loopholes...?"

"I'm sorry, I can't disclose that information. The Ministry of Magic will subsequently introduce a series of control measures, and Dolores Umbridge will be charged with fraud and assault..."

Fudge abruptly ended the interview by concluding with Dolores Umbridge's dismissal and life imprisonment in Azkaban.

"Barty, you can handle this monster, and you'd better get it over with—I have to go back and deal with those troublesome things first..." Fudge said to Barty, muttering something as he hurried away, "What a hidden freak... all that trouble I went through..."

The reporters chased Fudge out, leaving only Umbridge and Barty Crouch in the ward.

“Barty—you’ve seen him! That one!” Umbridge grabbed Barty’s wrist as if it were a lifeline. “You know—that—monster—isn’t—”

Crouch shook off her hand and disgustedly wiped himself with the sheet from the next bed.

“I warned you,” Crouch said coldly.

“Go tell Cornelius—go tell Cornelius—”

"Why do you have to provoke him now?" Crouch shook his head.

What else did Umbridge have to say?

"Avada Kedavra!"

A green light illuminated the entire room for a moment, but then went out in the blink of an eye.
