Chapter 474 "Minister, we're too late. Your son just blew up the Ministry of Magic."

"Very well," Voldemort said angrily, "Kill them!"

At a command, the Death Eaters' wands began to unleash various spells at them. Harry and his friends instinctively tried to roll away, but soon found themselves pinned down by something furry.

The spells struck the air in front of them.

Then, the air roared.

"Roar!" The lion roared angrily at the Death Eaters, because the painless spells felt like a bunch of insects hitting his stomach, making him very uncomfortable.

The cloaking of the water serpent's tail was dispelled, and the massive body of the Chimera slowly emerged from the air. The sudden turn of events stunned the Death Eaters.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Voldemort hurled a spell at Chimera Beast.

Since he was right next to it, Cohen took the opportunity to shield it with his own body this time.

Seeing that Cohen had been hit by a spell, the lion, protective of its young, breathed a mouthful of orange flame at Voldemort. Taking advantage of the chaos, the goat controlled the chandelier on the ceiling and slammed it down three feet behind Voldemort—the water snake tail had anticipated Voldemort's next Apparition.

"Don't move, hide behind the lion," Cohen immediately told Harry and the others.

"Master, be careful!" A Death Eater noticed the movement above Voldemort's head as he waved his hand to block the flames and immediately warned him.

Without even looking up, Voldemort instantly Apparated to another location—but the chandelier still accurately struck him.

He used a silent shattering spell, and the chandelier that was about to hit him instantly shattered into a pile.

Almost simultaneously, Voldemort swung his wand toward Cohen, and a fiery serpent made of Fiendfyre broke through the flames spewed by the lion, opening its mouth to try to devour Cohen and the Chimera behind him.

The goat murmured a few words, and the fire serpent disappeared little by little just before it touched Cohen.

Now it's Cohen's turn—

First, Cohen cast the Avada Kedavra curse.

"Avada Kedavra!" A green beam of light was thrown at Voldemort, but Voldemort dodged it with a flash, so the unfortunate one was a Death Eater behind him.

Almost simultaneously, in some unknown corner, Lucius slipped away once again.

A curse that can take down a person with one shot is a good curse.

Cohen now understands why Voldemort only liked this spell later on—he liked it too.

You should keep relearning the combat skills you like and find useful; relearning is the reason to become king.

Cohen began his indiscriminate bombardment. If the Death Curse could be released silently, Cohen's release frequency wouldn't be limited by his speaking speed.

Cohen moved his tongue, which was already curled up, and then choked on the dust in the air when he took a deep breath.

We're taking a short break, but seeing that there's hardly anyone around, the situation should be safe now.

Cohen turned to look behind him, and Harry and the others peeked out from under the lion's mane, staring in disbelief at the mess Cohen had made in less than ten minutes.

"Stay away from my son!"

Another spell deflected the attack that had targeted Cohen.

Edward stood angrily at the entrance of the hall, glaring at Voldemort, who had suddenly appeared to ambush Cohen from the side.

He was followed by several Aurors—as well as Dumbledore.

Considering that he had to deal with both Korn and Dumbledore, as well as a group of Aurors, and that his Death Eaters had already fled, Voldemort decided to leave immediately and come back another time.

Edward's next spell passed through the black mist from where Voldemort had vanished and disappeared into the cracks in the already broken fireplace stone.

“That’s…that’s…the mysterious person?” A young Auror stared wide-eyed.

“I can see that, Cliff.” Edward ignored the vanished Voldemort and the surrounding ruins, and hurriedly ran towards Cohen.

"And there's a Chimeramon—wait—hey, Minister! Danger!"

But what happened next left them all speechless.

The lion happily approached Edward, who was hugging Cohen, and licked his clothes, leaving a large puddle of drool on them.

Edward ignored his own clothes and anxiously checked Cohen's condition.

The others realized what was happening within seconds.

Kingsley and Tonks began repairing the parts of the hall that could be fixed, while magical structures such as the fireplace and the statue of the Magic Brothers could only be removed with a vanishing charm before being replaced.

The rest of them formed circles around Cohen and the others, but apart from Dumbledore, everyone else kept their distance from the live chimera, fearing that it might suddenly go berserk and bite them.

"We're too late. It seems your son just blew up the Ministry of Magic..."

"Leave me alone. I'm checking for any curses left behind. Can't you talk to your boss about anything concerning the Ministry of Magic? I don't have time for this..." Edward said impatiently, sweeping his wand up and down at Cohen. "Voldemort knows many curses; he might have left one before this..."

“Um…” Cohen reached over Edward’s shoulder and saw the anxious yet helpless expression on the face of the financial official reporting the losses, so he nudged Edward to remind him, “You are their boss now.”
