Chapter 25: The Junk Man Assembles a Computer

Chapter 25: The Junk Man Assembles a Computer

Unlike the SHIELD agents who were on high alert, Yang Le started picking and choosing at the other end of the exhibition hall.

It’s strange to say, there were many big companies participating in this exhibition, but now that this accident happened, no one came to deal with it in time.

Of course, it is also possible that it was blocked by SHIELD.

"In that case, I should thank S.H.I.E.L.D." Yang Le touched here and looked there. Without the help of the clever monster's high IQ, he really couldn't recognize that those were the valuable things he needed.

But no matter how valuable it is, it is useless because this place has been turned upside down by the Rhino People and there is basically nothing intact left.

"Forget it, a garbage man should have the consciousness of a garbage man." Yang Le used his icy breath to freeze several boards together to make a box half a meter high. Then he picked up some things that were as intact as possible from the ground and threw them into it.

It didn't take long before Yang Le filled the box with all sorts of things, but most of them were mechanical equipment.

Yang Le looked at his harvest and nodded with satisfaction. Just as he was about to pick up the box and leave, he heard footsteps.

The footsteps were so light that they would hardly attract the attention of ordinary people even in the silent exhibition hall. However, the Ice Ghost, who was not an ordinary person, still noticed the sound of human feet stepping on various debris.

Yang Le thought about it and activated the intangibility. His body disappeared into the darkness again, flying in the air and began to overlook the surroundings.

Sure enough, Yang Le in mid-air noticed several sneaky figures, who were the SHIELD agents.

Yang Le originally thought that these agents just happened to search here, but when he saw them holding guns and being so alert, Yang Le changed his mind.

'Is there anyone else here? Or am I exposed?'

Yang Le looked at the SHIELD agents who were cooperating in the search and fell into deep thought.

These agents probably didn't find his method directly. After he became invisible, he floated in the air right in front of them. However, they haven't seen him yet, which means they haven't seen his method.

These agents probably don't have a clear target. If the target was clear, then those dozen agents would have come out in full force, and Melinda would have come too, instead of just these two or three kittens.

So these agents should have discovered him through some clues, but why?

While thinking, Yang Le habitually touched his chin. Suddenly, he felt a chill on his fingers. He looked down and found frost on his fingers.

"Damn, it's because of the Ice Ghost's breath." Yang Le noticed the bright spot. He probably got too close to the agents when he was peeking just now and let them sense it.

Yang Le was speechless. In fact, the Ice Ghost didn't need to breathe, but habit made him breathe subconsciously. He didn't expect that this would expose him.

Yang Le silently took note in his heart that human habits were bad habits for aliens and he needed to pay attention to them in the future.

Yang Le watched the agents getting closer and closer to his box and decided to take the initiative while there were fewer people around.

The agents were standing in relatively scattered positions. Although this allowed for a quick search of the scene, it also gave Yang Le an opportunity to take advantage.

Yang Le flew behind the last agent, controlled his strength and knocked him unconscious.

Putting the unconscious agent aside, Yang Le used the same method to deal with the other two agents. These agents may be elites among humans, but they are completely powerless against the alien heroes. After turning invisible and taking the initiative, Yang Le can deal with them easily.

Taking advantage of the fact that no other agents came over, Yang Le left the exhibition hall through the window, carrying the box full of collections.

"Mei, Nick and the others have lost contact." Melinda, who was searching elsewhere, heard Lisa's report.

Melinda immediately placed her hand on the communication device in her right ear.

"How long have we lost contact? Can we locate them?"

"I called them three minutes ago but received no response. The location shows they are now in Area C of the exhibition hall."

"Roger that. I'll take them there right away." Melinda ended the call and led her team towards Area C. "I hope nothing goes wrong," Melinda thought worriedly.

Unlike the worried Melinda, Yang Le, who had gained a lot, also rushed back to his home.

Putting the box on the table, Yang Le stretched his limbs and yawned.

"Ha~ah, today is such a busy day." Yang Le rubbed his sore eyes, looked at the time, and found that it was already midnight.

"Let's do the rest tomorrow." Yang Le rubbed his shoulders and prepared to go to bed.

Yang Le had just laid down on the hammock when his cell phone rang. He picked it up and saw that it was a message from Gwen. Yang Le looked at the notification and found that Gwen had sent many messages.

Yang Le clicked on it and saw that the first message was asking him where he was and telling him not to take it to heart, and that she would resolve the misunderstanding between Yang Le and her father.

The second message was asking him about Spider-Man's superpowers, followed by some apologies. I probably thought he was angry so I didn't read the message.

Yang Le smiled knowingly and typed a reply.

Yang Le: "Sorry, I was sleeping because I was too tired and just woke up."

Gwen: 'I was so scared, I didn't read the message and thought you were angry.'

Yang Le: 'Not really.'

Gwen: 'Sorry my dad was so impulsive.'

Yang Le: "I understand. He's very protective of his daughter. You have a good father, Gwen."

Gwen: 'I'm glad you think so of Harpy.'

Yang Le: "Even though I'm the one who suffered the loss."

Gwen: '?'

Yang Le: "Why are you asking? It was me who had my clothes ripped and was exposed."

Gwen rubbed her eyes, deciding not to dwell on the subject for too long.

Gwen: 'What do you think of my changes?'

Yang Le straightened his expression when he saw the question raised by Gwen. After all, they were talking about serious topics.

Yang Le: "Typing is too troublesome. It's hard to write clearly in just a few words."

Yang Le: "How about this, are you free tomorrow?"

Gwen thought about it. Normally, she should have classes tomorrow, but because of the Rhino incident and her fainting, George specially asked for three days off for her to recuperate. Because of her spider-powers, she gladly accepted it. By the way, Peter and Mary Jane also got three days off.

Gwen: "When I'm free, do you need me to come find you? You may not be able to come to my house in the near future."

Yang Le: "That's okay, let's meet tomorrow at the same time and place. It shouldn't take much time."

Perhaps the confidence between the lines of Yang Le's words infected her, and Gwen's frown gradually relaxed. Perhaps this was why she liked being with Yang Le. Yang Le could always give her a sense of security.

Gwen: "Well, see you at the usual place. Good night."

Yang Le 'Good night.'
