Chapter 61: The Origin of the Green Goblin

Chapter 61: The Origin of the Green Goblin
Seeing Peter and the others leave, Norman opened the door and returned to the ward, only to find that Harry had already gotten up.

"Is that Peter?" Harry asked.

"Yes, and your other friends too. Since you fell asleep, I asked them to go back first." Norman smiled gently again. "Why are you awake? Don't you want to sleep a little longer?"

"Peter's voice was too loud, but my head was dizzy, so I didn't wake up immediately. It might be a nightmare."

Harry held his forehead, looking a little listless, probably because he had just woken up.

"Now that you're awake, do you want to have dinner? After all, you've been unconscious all day." Norman asked with concern.

"Of course, Dad. It would be better if there were more meat." Harry accepted it happily. "To be honest, I am really hungry now."

"I'll ask my assistant to bring some food over." Norman said and called his assistant.

"He'll be here in a while." Norman hung up the phone, put it away, and looked at Harry hesitantly.

Harry noticed Norman's hesitation and asked, "What's wrong, Dad?"

"It's nothing, I just have some work to do later and may not be able to accompany you all the time." Norman looked at Harry apologetically.

"If you don't want me to, I can push..."

"It's okay, Dad. I understand." Harry interrupted Norman. "To be honest, I'm very happy when the first thing I see when I wake up is you."

"I'm sorry, Harry," Norman apologized again, his eyes filled with guilt.

This time Harry didn't say anything. Although he said that, he still hoped that his father could stay with him.

Norman saw Harry's disappointment, thought for a moment, and then suddenly had an idea. He patted his thigh and said.

"How about this, when you and Peter are discharged from the hospital, you can arrange a date and I'll go to the amusement park with you."

"Really!" Harry couldn't believe what he heard.

"Of course it's true. I'll definitely make time this time." Norman nodded with a smile. "But you have to remember to invite Peter and his family's parents. It would be awkward if I'm the only one there."

"This is fantastic." Harry was so excited that he almost jumped out of bed. As long as he could remember, his father had never taken him to an amusement park. It seemed that being in the hospital was not all bad.

'Is this why I'm causing trouble?' Harry couldn't help but think.

"Okay, okay, take good care of yourself." Norman stopped Harry's actions with a smile and said after looking at his watch.

"Sorry Harry, I have to go or I'll be late."

"Well, be careful on the road, Dad." This time Harry had no complaints, but was looking forward to the day when he would be discharged from the hospital.

Norman gave a few more instructions before leaving the ward and heading towards the parking lot.

In just a few minutes, we arrived at the hospital parking lot and walked to the pre-arranged parking space.

"Mr. Osborne." The assistant stood beside the car and handed the keys to Norman respectfully.

"Take dinner and go up to find Harry. He must be starving." Norman took the key, opened the car door and got in.

"By the way, if Harry has any requests, try to satisfy him. Of course, if he doesn't mention it, don't ask."

"Okay, Mr. Osborne." The assistant received the order and walked towards the hospital with the takeout box.

Norman closed the car door, looked at his assistant's back, took a deep breath, and then drove away from the hospital.

---Dividing line---

Norman entered the password, and the door to the laboratory slowly opened. When he walked in, the lights in the laboratory also lit up. This was his other laboratory, with more complete equipment than the one at home. After all, many experiments were not suitable for doing at home, but it was still relatively simple compared to the laboratory in his company.

No one knows about this place except Norman. He usually conducts some experiments that cannot be seen in the light here.

"I didn't expect that Peter was the chosen test subject." Norman seemed to be talking to someone, which looked very strange in this empty laboratory.

"We need him! His blood can help us!" Norman's tone was a little crazy.

"But he is Harry's friend, and he saved Harry's life. I can't hurt him." Norman's voice became timid again, as if he was begging himself.

"Not 'I', but 'we'!" the crazy voice emphasized.

"We need him to make us whole!"

"But…"

"No buts. Think about Harry. Do you want Harry to lose us?"

The crazy voice prevailed, the cowardly voice no longer appeared, and without any obstacles, Norman came to a machine.

"No one can know about this. We must do it in person, and we must not reveal our true identities."

"I, I can't do it."

"Then let me do it! I'm going to need a whole new face for this."

Norman finished speaking and began the operation.

"This place is so shabby, and there aren't many materials to choose from, so we can only make do with basic Kevlar."

After selecting the materials, Norman went to the computer next to him and started designing. Within a few minutes, Norman completed the design and entered the data into the device next to him.

The equipment started working. It turned out to be a device similar to a 3D printer, which was slowly printing out Norman's work.

It took about 15 minutes for a dark green battle suit to be printed out, with some armor plates and a helmet placed next to it.

The helmet looks like a monster in a story, ferocious and scary.

Norman took off his clothes, put on his battle suit, and fitted the armor plates onto his body one by one to protect his joints.

"This is my face!" Norman held the helmet with both hands and put it on.

"The field of vision isn't very good, and this needs to be improved." Norman shook his head and said in a muffled voice.

"Also, I need some weapons." Norman looked at a corner of the laboratory where some inventions of the company's inventors were stored.

But most of them are obsolete products. Although they have certain value, they also have defects. He thinks it is a pity to throw them away directly, so he puts them here, waiting for the time when he can improve them.

"I originally thought these were money-losing products." Norman walked up to the inventions.

"Now it seems that you are all money-losing goods. Those fools will only bury you, but today I will give you new life, just like me."

Norman felt that his mind was clearer than ever. The pile of scrap metal that he had no idea where to start with now looked like a pile of unmined raw stones to him.

"At the same time, I also need a new name to prove my new life."

"I think..." Norman lowered his head, and the metal invention reflected his current face.

"Green Goblin, that's good."
