Conquer Europe from the West

Chapter 16 Pre-War Briefing

Chapter 16 Pre-War Briefing

I don’t know if it was because Ryan’s tone was too decisive, or because Ryan grabbed the scarf around my neck.

Anyway, the observer was silent for a long time before he said, "Okay, I'll tell headquarters what you said."

"what?"

Ryan was furious.

"I told you to tell that Schneider guy directly, but you said you wanted to tell headquarters?"

I don't know where he got the strength from, but he suddenly exerted force with both hands and pulled the observer out of the cabin! (Most reconnaissance planes at that time did not have seat belts, so there were records of observers being thrown out of the cabin)

"Brinkman! Go ahead!" He stepped on the observer's chest, fumbled with his belt with both hands, took off his service pistol, and stuffed it into the female lieutenant's arms. "Take my gun. If that Schneider guy doesn't listen, show him this!"

"Then what are you going to do? You're not really going back, are you?" Brinkman looked at Ryan in shock. She thought Ryan was joking before: "The people of Farlan must be prepared. You will die!"

Ryan rolled his eyes at her and pointed in the direction of the airship in the distance: "You'll die if you run! Those things will chase you to death if you don't run! If you go back, you can at least kill a few more. If you're lucky, you can even kill them all at once!"

After saying that, without waiting for Brinkman to reply, he kicked the observer aside, picked up the girl and stuffed her into the empty cabin.

When the pilot saw this scene, his face turned pale.

But he didn't dare say even one more word - he was afraid that Ryan would drag him out as well.

"Okay, get out!"

Without giving the girl and the pilot time to talk, Ryan patted the fuselage of the reconnaissance plane, signaling it to take off immediately.

In desperation, the pilot could only push the throttle immediately to get his plane back into the sky and fly towards the support forces.

Ryan watched the reconnaissance plane leave the ground, and waited until it completely rose into the sky before turning around and kicking the observer again.

Ryan turned and walked towards the civilian house that served as a safe house, saying, "Get up, Lieutenant! You have things to do later."

"There's probably something wrong with you!"

The observer held up his hat, took off his windproof glasses with a hole in them with a distressed look, and glared at Ryan fiercely.

But he still got up from the ground swiftly and followed Ryan's footsteps.

at the same time.

In the house, McIver and others were leaning against the windows.

But the plane's engine was so loud that they hadn't heard the conversation between Ryan and the pilot.

Therefore, when they saw Ryan pulling one of the pilots out of the plane, the atmosphere in the room immediately became extremely tense.

Fortunately, things did not get out of control, so these soldiers did not do anything extreme.

When they saw Ryan stuff Brinkman onto the plane and replace him with a second lieutenant, they immediately came out of the house and surrounded Ryan.

"Lieutenant, any news from later?"

McIver was the first to speak.

"There's good news, and there's bad news."

Ryan said, "I won't ask you which one you want to hear. After all, the worst can't be worse than this morning."

The two non-commissioned officers, whose names they didn't know, burst out laughing but immediately covered their mouths.

Ryan didn't look at them, and his voice didn't pause.

"The good news is that the theater command received the honor communication we sent out and sent a full-strength assault company to rescue us an hour ago."

Wolfe, holding his gun, squeezed to the front line: "What's the bad news, sir?"

"The bad news is that Lieutenant Brinkmann's honorary communication was full of ridicule, and now the damn Falconers have sent a fleet of airships to capture us." "Scheie!"

Several soldiers cursed in unison.

Ryan looked at them and understood what they were thinking, but now was not the time to talk about this.

"You should have heard the conversation I had with Lieutenant Brinkman just now."

As he spoke, Ryan put his hands behind his back and straightened his chest as much as possible to make himself look like an officer.

He wanted to use this method to prop up his appearance.

But McIver said, "But Lieutenant, I don't think we can deceive that airship fleet."

"We're short on weapons and ammunition. If we had a machine gun, it would be fine, but now..."

He turned his head to look at the seven people behind him, then shook his head at Ryan.

Obviously, he felt that this plan was a bit too fantastical.

"I know."

Ryan did not deny it, but his next words made McIver feel like a fool.

He said, "But I lied to Lieutenant Brinkman about that."

"Then you dare to slap her?"

"Who said that? Get out of line!" Ryan was furious, but no one came out.

"Damn it, don't let me know who said that!"

He cursed, spat on the ground, rubbed his hands, and got back to business: "Indeed, we are short of equipment, so we need to get some equipment here first."

When the observer lieutenant heard his words, he immediately protected the pistol holster on his waist, looking as if he was facing a great enemy.

His actions looked so funny that Ryan even glanced at him sideways at the idiot.

McIver also looked at the observer and asked, "Are we going to another camp?"

"No."

Ryan shook his head.

"We need to return to the 502nd Battalion camp, so we'll follow the underground passage we came from."

His words immediately made everyone's heart rise to their throat, but Ryan did not give them the chance to ask questions.

"Our previous actions have rendered the command post completely unusable, so the Farlans should choose another building as their command post."

"We can take advantage of this opportunity to fight back and perhaps replicate our previous operations."

"But they will allocate manpower to guard against us, right?" asked a non-commissioned officer.

Ryan quickly glanced at the map and confirmed that no one was inside the command post building before saying, "No, most likely not."

"Our previous actions have already caused them to lose a third of their manpower. Now, they have not only lost most of their officers, but also their communications squad and a number of available combat forces."

"If nothing unexpected happens, I guess they are currently busy sending people to contact their rear headquarters, waiting to rotate with the reserve forces in the rear."

This is what he saw on the map. A large group of Farlanes gathered at the exit of the camp, and only a small number of people were still in the corridor, probably cleaning up the battlefield.

Suddenly, a non-commissioned officer spoke up.

"Lieutenant, why don't you just tell us what you want us to do?"
