Chapter 21 Are you trying to take advantage of me?
Farm life is not everything for Lyon, and it is necessary to relax occasionally.

Leon walked into the Stardrop Bar with ease, opened the door, and saw the lively atmosphere inside the bar.

Leon scratched his head awkwardly when he heard that. He didn't really think so, he just asked casually. He didn't expect Emily to react so strongly, so Leon waved at Emily.

"Well, my bad, ma'am. To make up for it, how about I perform a magic trick for you?"

"Oh, you can do magic?" Emily immediately became interested. "How can I cooperate with you? Do you need any props?"

“No need, just stretch out your hand.” Leon shook his head, then directed Emily to stretch out her hand, and then put his hand on top of hers: “Now close your eyes and count to three.”

“You’re not trying to take advantage of me, are you?” Emily looked at Leon’s hand resting on hers so naturally, and complained with a slightly flushed face.

"You can understand it that way, but this is also part of the magic." Leon replied without blushing or beating his heart. How can you flirt with girls without courage?
"Okay, but if I find out that you didn't give me a surprise, I might get angry." Emily was a little surprised to hear Leon admit it so decisively, but she still closed her eyes obediently. At the end, she did not forget to threaten Leon.

Leon smiled without saying anything. After seeing Emily close her eyes, he chose to take out the daffodils he had just picked from his backpack.

Emily, who had just closed her eyes, felt that there was something extra where her hand met Leon's hand. She couldn't see it without opening her eyes, but she could feel that it seemed to be some kind of plant.

"Okay, open your eyes." Leon, who had taken out the daffodil, reminded Emily. Emily immediately opened her eyes after hearing this, and saw a freshly bloomed daffodil appear at the junction of Leon's hand and hers. She took it in her hand and looked at it in surprise.

"It's a daffodil! How did you do it? I clearly didn't feel your hand leave mine, so how come this daffodil suddenly appeared in both of our hands?" Emily asked curiously, her eyes full of confusion.

"Secret." Leon smiled mysteriously. It was impossible to say that he had a backpack that existed independently outside this world.

"What an interesting magic trick. I forgive your earlier disrespect." Emily smiled at Leon, then handed the daffodils in her hand to Leon: "Here they are. Fresh daffodils in this season can be sold for a lot of money."

“No need, I’m giving it to you as a gift.” Leon waved his hand nonchalantly and pushed the daffodil back into Emily’s hands. “Don’t forget, this is a miracle that was born in our hands together. You must take good care of it.”

"Okay, thank you." Emily didn't hesitate and accepted the gift generously. Then she found an empty wine bottle, washed it, inserted the daffodil into it, and placed it at the innermost part of the counter. Then she walked back and looked at Leon teasingly.

"You seem to be very good at making girls happy. You must have had many girlfriends before coming to Stardew Valley."

"No, life in Zuzu City isn't as comfortable as it is here. I'm so busy with work every day that I don't even get enough sleep, so how can I find the time to find a girlfriend?" Leon replied with a wry smile. "Besides, the daffodil flower is considered a symbol of respect and mystery, and can express gratitude to the giver. Thank you for the peach juice you treated me to a few days ago."

Emily blushed when she heard that and retorted to Leon: “But that was Gus’s treat, I just helped you make it and served it?”

"That's to repay your excellent juicing skills, isn't it?" Leon raised his eyebrows and asked back.

"Okay, your answer is acceptable. What would you like to drink?" Emily hesitated for a long time, but still didn't say what she wanted to say, so she had to change the subject.

"Peach juice, I think. I really like its taste." Leon replied.

"Then what should we eat?" Emily's face turned even redder when she heard that, but she still didn't forget her work.

Leon glanced at the menu hanging behind the bar: "Let's have today's special, fish tacos."

"Okay, a fish roll and a glass of peach juice, a total of thirty dollars." Emily immediately wrote down Leon's order requirements in the small notebook in her hand, and then quoted the price.

Lyon felt a little painful when he heard this. After all, this was thirty dollars, which was a very high price. He had already spent half of the two thousand dollars he brought with him, and he didn't know how long the remaining money could last.

However, Leon still paid the money obediently, and then saw Emily go into the kitchen to inform Gus about the new order. Not long after, Emily appeared in front of Leon with freshly squeezed peach juice and fish rolls.

The fish roll was bigger than Lyon had expected. The thin crust was filled with large pieces of fish coated with flour and eggs and fried until golden brown, served with sweet butter and vegetables. The whole fish roll was about the size of two palms.

Lyon couldn't wait to grab it and put it in his mouth. The crispy fish meat and the soft crust burst with an extremely fresh and sweet flavor in his mouth. After just one bite, Lyon felt that the thirty dollars he spent was really worth it.
