A farming master in Stardew Valley
Chapter 23 Dinner Partner
Chapter 23 Dinner Partner
After putting the tulip seeds given by Evelyn into his pocket, Leon no longer had the desire to continue exploring Pelican Town. He couldn't just leave the seeds he had just obtained idle. He had to go back and plant them on the farm to live up to Evelyn's kindness.
As soon as Lyon returned, he began to cultivate new land and plant the tulip seeds. The amount of seeds was much more than that provided by Pierre's store. This packet of seeds could actually plant forty-three tulips.
This undoubtedly kept Lyon busy in the field for another half an hour, but Lyon did not mind it. After all, these were free seeds, and he had already adapted to this kind of life and enjoyed it.
After everything was done, Lyon found that he did not seem to be as out of breath as before when he was resting. Although he was a little tired, the feeling was not strong. It was obvious that the effect of the forest magic soup really strengthened his physical fitness as the wizard Rasmodes said.
After planting the tulip seeds, Lyon returned to the cabin, washed up, and went to bed. Although there was a TV to entertain him, Lyon did not intend to waste his time on it. He could go to bed early and get up early, as there was still a lot of work waiting for him to deal with tomorrow.
At dawn the next day, Lyon slept until he woke up naturally, washed his face with cold water, brushed his teeth, and then left the cabin without stopping. He set his sights on the fields he had cultivated in front of the cabin.
Seeing that the crows he was worried about did not appear in the field, Leon breathed a sigh of relief. Then he walked to the scarecrow in the middle of the field, patted the scarecrow standing silently between heaven and earth, and muttered: "Brother, you will be the security captain of Red Star Farm from now on."
Unfortunately, the scarecrow did not respond to Leon's meaning, but just shook a little when Leon slapped him.
Lyon didn't care about it. He took out a watering can and started watering the crops in the field one by one.
A pot of water is obviously not enough to irrigate this large planting area. Fortunately, there is a reservoir not far from the reclaimed land. The water in the reservoir is extremely clear. Although there are no fish, it is no problem to use it to fill the pot.
After running back and forth between the reservoir and the fields three times, Lyon finally watered all the plants. As soon as he got the kettle back, he returned to the cabin and drank a large pot of water.
Then Lyon took out a few eggs and a small bowl of flour from the refrigerator and started to add the eggs to the dough. Suddenly, an idea flashed in his mind. He took out the leeks he had collected yesterday and chopped them up and added them to the dough. After the golden dough with light green color was kneaded, Lyon put it aside to let it rise, then washed his hands and started a fire.
The rain yesterday made the fire pit still a little damp, but fortunately there was no water accumulation, and Lyon didn't need to go out of his way to look for dry tinder. The hay in his backpack was the best starter.
With the addition of split wood, a ball of hot flame soon appeared in the fire pit.
Lyon hurried back to the cabin to get dough, cooking oil, and of course the most important frying pan, and began to prepare his breakfast.
Although it was a modified version of the simple scallion omelet, when the dough that was divided and pressed into pancake shape gave off a rich scallion aroma while being fried in hot oil, Lyon knew that his scallion omelet was not a failure.
It’s just that I seem to have made too much dough. If I press it all into pancakes and fry them, I’m afraid I won’t be able to finish it.
Although there is a refrigerator, this kind of cake must be eaten while it is hot. If it is heated again, the crispy crust will not be there to enjoy.
"It would be nice to have a rice omelet." Looking at the sizzling scallion omelet in the pan, Leon couldn't help but mutter. "What is a rice omelet?" At this moment, a female voice appeared in Leon's ear and asked.
Leon turned around and found that the person asking was Abigail, who had come to the farm for dinner last night. He immediately complained speechlessly: "Did you install surveillance on my farm? How come you appeared as soon as I was cooking?"
“I’m just here to deliver something.” Abigail looked at Leon doubtfully. It was obvious that she didn’t quite understand what Leon meant. “By the way, you haven’t answered me yet. What is a meal partner?”
"It's just a friend I'm having dinner with." Leon explained, and at the same time extended his hand: "What are you bringing? Let me see it."
"Is that what you mean?" Abigail nodded. "Is that the term you city people use? That's quite interesting."
Then Abigail handed Leon a sealed package of seeds and said.
"These are the seeds my father wanted to give you. When he was taking inventory yesterday, he discovered that he had sold you a batch of potato seeds that were already considered inferior. He originally planned to come and apologize to you in person, but I had nothing else to do, so I helped him deliver them to you."
"Mr. Pierre is very thoughtful. Most people would pretend not to know when encountering such a situation." Lyon sighed after taking the seeds.
"Although my father is stingy, likes to take advantage of small profits and cares about his reputation, he still cares a lot about the quality of seeds. He has always believed that Pierre's seeds are the best in Stardew Valley. He has very high self-requirements in this regard. By the way, I have to apologize to you on his behalf." Abigail replied.
"Thank you for your help. By the way, have you had breakfast?" Leon nodded and asked subconsciously.
Abigail sniffed the onion aroma in the air and said, "I've already eaten, but since you're so enthusiastic, I can't refuse you, so I can have some more."
Leon looked at Abigail speechlessly. He was just being polite, but he didn’t expect this greedy little girl to take it seriously. However, he had done a little more anyway, so he didn’t mind feeding one more mouth. So he said to Abigail, “Then you have to go to the house to get the bowl for me. I can’t leave for the time being, so as not to burn these pancakes.”
"Okay." Abigail was not a hesitant person. She immediately nodded and went to help Leon. When she came back with the bowl, she saw Leon flipping the pot.
Watching the pancake flip gracefully in mid-air and land precisely in the frying pan, Abigail praised, "Your cooking skills are quite good."
"After all, I'm a bachelor. I have to have some cooking skills to avoid starving to death, right?" Leon replied while keeping an eye on the pancakes in the pan.
"I'm just talking about cooking skills, not taste," Abigail reminded.
"The porridge I made that night wasn't my specialty. Just wait patiently until I make it, and you'll understand." Leon rolled his eyes at Abigail, then continued cooking.
