A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 24 I'll Forgive You This Time

Chapter 24 I'll Forgive You This Time

Abigail held the bowl and squatted beside Leon, watching him flip the pan. The churning pancakes unscrupulously exuded the pungent aroma of leeks, which made her swallow her saliva.

So I couldn't help but ask, "Will we have to wait a long time?"

"No need." Leon shook his head, then casually stretched out the spatula to pick up the golden scallion omelet in the frying pan, and it fell into the bowl in Abigail's hand in a perfect arc.

"Try it. I don't know what it tastes like with leeks." Lyon called Abigail and signaled that she could start eating, while he continued to make pancakes.

"Wow, it's so hot." She tried to grab the scallion pancake with her hands, but the scalding pancake crust that had just been taken out of the pan and was still covered in hot oil really put her little hands in an ambush.

But this did not affect her appetite. She blew a few times to try to cool down the high temperature on the pancake crust, and tentatively stretched out her little mouth to take a small bite of the pancake.

"Crack, crack, crack"

As the crispy and fragrant crust rubbed against her teeth, Abigail's eyes widened subconsciously: "Wow, it's delicious."

Leon glanced at Abigail's expression and was relieved to be sure that he hadn't made a mistake this time. It seemed that the wild-picked leeks didn't have any strange special flavor.

He didn't care about Abigail's evaluation. What he cared about was whether he had wasted his time, dough and eggs because of the leeks. Now it seemed that the food was fine and the pancakes were baked very fragrantly, so he could enjoy his breakfast with peace of mind.

So after frying the second pot, Lyon decisively gave up pouring the remaining dough into the pot three times. Pancakes should be eaten while they are hot. As he took the first bite of the pancake, Lyon nodded with satisfaction.

The crispy pancake crust and the aroma of oil can make people feel the joy of carbohydrates at the first moment. The taste of leeks, which is similar to onions, also makes the flavor of pancakes even better. With the richness of eggs, the satisfaction of taking a bite is really irresistible.

Moreover, because of the high temperature frying, the hot oil that has not been absorbed by the pancakes also brings a stimulating experience. The high temperature is not an obstacle at this moment, but a seasoning.

But eating something too hot is not good for the tongue and esophagus, so after taking a quick bite of the pancake to keep it warm, Leon did the same as Abigail, blowing on the pancake until it was not too hot before eating it.

A pancake is about the size of a plate, but it is not very thick, so for Leon, one pancake is not enough to fill his stomach.

After quickly finishing the first pancake, Lyon started frying the third pancake without stopping.

As for Abigail, she was still savoring the deliciousness of the first cake slowly.

After Leon was full, Abigail reluctantly swallowed the last piece of scallion pancake. At the end, she did not forget to suck the grease and remaining pancake crumbs on her fingers. Even Leon was stunned for a moment by her adorable look.

"What are you looking at?"

Leon's eyes were undisguised, so Abigail could easily sense Leon's gaze, but it was precisely Leon's openness that made her suddenly not know how to protest.

"Look at the residue on your face." Lyon came back to his senses immediately after hearing this, and replied without blushing or beating his heart.

"Ah, is there? Where is it?" Upon hearing this, Abigail forgot to ask Leon what he meant by staring at her. She wiped her face in a hurry, but because of the remaining oil stains on her hands, there were a few more oil stains on her fair face.

Seeing this, Leon couldn't help laughing. Abigail glared at Leon with an embarrassed look on her face, then hurried into the cabin, turned on the faucet and began to wash the stains on her face. When she finally felt that there was nothing messy on her face, she came out of the house.

What surprised her was that Leon was not cleaning up the used kitchen utensils, but was wandering around the field that was obviously newly cultivated.

But after watching for a while, Abigail was sure that Leon was not wandering around. He would occasionally squat down and carefully dig up the soft soil to check the seeds buried in the soil.

He didn't care about the mud on his hands at all, and his look of complete concentration made Abigail afraid to disturb him for a moment.

Then Abigail turned her attention to the kitchen utensils placed next to the earthen stove. Finally, Abigail made a decision, picked up all these things, and took them into the wooden house to wash them.

On the other side, Leon squatted in the field, looking at the seeds that had been dug out and muttered: "Where did I plant those potatoes?"

After searching several areas without finding the potato, Lyon lost his patience and re-cultivated a row of soil suitable for planting and buried the potato seeds Abigail had sent him.

When he finished watering and was about to wash his hands by the reservoir, he found that Abigail was standing by the farmland, squatting on the edge of the field and looking at him curiously.

"What's wrong?" Leon asked, looking at Abigail in confusion: "I thought you were gone."

"Nothing, I'm just curious about the life of a farmer. It seems very busy." Abigail answered, and at the same time stood up and said to Leon dissatisfiedly.

"The dishes must be cleaned promptly after use, otherwise bacteria will grow. I've already cleaned them up for you and put them all in the room. Please pay attention to this next time."

Only then did Leon remember that he had not cleaned up the frying pans and other things he had used, but now that Abigail had said she would help clean them up, he didn't need to worry about it.

"Thank you, I would have forgotten if you hadn't told me."

At the end, Leon did not forget to thank Abigail.

The purple-haired girl was obviously very grateful to Leon for his thanks, and the smile on her face was very bright: "You're welcome, after all, I also ate your breakfast, so just consider it my meal fee."

Seeing this, Leon also smiled and teased: “Then I will make you an extra portion in the future. How about you help me wash the dishes in return?”

"No, your farm is too far from town, and I have my own things to do." Abigail refused without hesitation, but at the same time she couldn't help but complain, "And your words are very rude for a single woman. But considering your good cooking skills, I'll forgive you this time."

"Impolite? Why am I being rude?" Lyon realized that his joke was taken seriously by the other party. Instead of explaining, he looked at Abigail meaningfully and asked.

"Humph."

Unfortunately, Abigail didn't accept the challenge. She snorted and left without looking back.
