A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 66 Let’s Go Together

Chapter 66 Let’s Go Together
Hearing the word "eat", Abigail stopped following Leon, holding her chin with one hand and fell into thought.

Leon didn't stop, but went back into the house, drank a large glass of cold water, and then washed his face.

At this time, Abigail also pushed the door open, as naturally as if she had returned to her own home, and went straight to the mini refrigerator in Leon's house and opened it.

"I want to eat meat, but there doesn't seem to be any in your refrigerator." Abigail complained a little disappointedly after looking around at the ingredients in the refrigerator.

"Fish?" Leon asked.

"No, just chicken and beef," Abigail replied.

Leon was shocked when he heard this: "There are chicken and beef for sale in Pelican Town?"

"Why not? You don't think Pelican Town is a poor area, do you?" Abigail looked at Leon with disdain and complained.

"That's not the case. I just haven't seen this kind of food in Guts's tavern, nor have I seen any of it available in your grocery store. I thought people in Stardew Valley don't eat poultry, pigs, beef, or mutton," Leon explained casually.

After all, you can't tell Abigail that he has never seen other edible meats in Stardew Valley besides seafood in the game.

"Guts isn't good at cooking, so he rarely prepares this kind of food at the Stardrop Saloon. My father only sells plant-based ingredients and daily groceries. If you want to buy red meat, you have to go to Joja's Supermarket or John's Butcher Shop."

Abigail patiently explained to Leon that Leon had just moved to Stardew Valley and there were many things he didn't know, which Abigail could understand.

He wasn't quite sure where John's butcher shop was. After all, the real Pelican Town was huge, and he hadn't completely explored it yet. However, he knew that Joja Supermarket did sell such products.

However, because the meat was stored in the cold chain area, Leon did not go there when he purchased supplies last time, nor did he think about whether Joja in Pelican Town supplies red meat. He once again fell into the inertia of thinking.

So strictly speaking, it was the first time that Leon knew that Pelican Town actually had red meat available.

He thought that this was the same as the game, and in order to protect the game from trouble from extreme animal rights advocates, the recipes and ingredients for red meat were deleted.

"If you don't like these ingredients, then go eat the Star Fruit."

Hearing that Abigail wanted to eat meat, Leon felt it was inconvenient to go buy it now, so he simply suggested going to Gus's place to eat ready-made meat.

"No." Abigail rejected the offer without hesitation: "Just eat something casually. The pancakes last time were very good. I want to eat some."

"You won't feel full if you eat pancakes late at night," Leon reminded.

"I don't care. I'm going to eat anyway." Abigail spread her hands and sat down on Leon's bed. She just lay there straight, as if saying, "If you don't cook for me, I'll lie here and die."

"I wet the bed last night and didn't have time to change the sheets." Seeing Abigail's shameless attitude, Leon naturally couldn't tolerate her and immediately teased Abigail.

"ah!"

Upon hearing this, Abigail jumped up from the bed as if she was equipped with a spring, but she realized in a moment that Leon was definitely lying to her, otherwise how could he take the initiative to reveal such an embarrassing thing, and immediately glared at Leon.

"I don't want to make pancakes, but I have flour. I'll make something else."

Leon ignored Abigail's gaze and found a larger soup bowl. He poured in a suitable amount of flour, then added some water and cracked two eggs. He kneaded the flour into a ball and began to knead it repeatedly. Abigail squatted beside him and watched Leon perform curiously. When she saw Leon stretching and folding the dough several times, she saw that he had stretched the dough into strips of uniform thickness. Her eyes widened.

"Leon, what are you doing?"

"Ramen." Leon answered as a matter of course, without stopping the movement of his hands. However, he did not have the ability to make dragon beard noodles. Pulling thick noodles was already his limit. After all, it was an amateur level. If he had a rolling pin, he would not consider making ramen, but would prepare to make hand-rolled noodles.

Abigail looked at Leon in confusion. She didn't quite understand what ramen was, but seeing that the shape of the noodles was similar to pasta, she was curious about what it tasted like.

After Leon finished making the noodles, he held the noodles and asked Abigail to boil water in the pot, and then went outside to light a fire to cook the noodles.

There were no added ingredients to the noodles, only some oil and salt for seasoning, and some chopped green onions as garnish. Two large bowls of clear soup ramen without toppings were brought to the table by Lyon.

"Woo, such springy noodles."

Abigail, who tried ramen for the first time, was shocked by the chewy noodles the moment she took a bite.

Lyon didn't say anything, just slurped the noodles in his bowl, secretly sighing that he didn't have any chili peppers on hand, otherwise the dry noodles would have been really delicious with some oil and chili peppers.

Compared to Leon's indifference, Abigail seemed quite happy while eating.

Although it was only simply seasoned, the chewy and bouncy texture of the noodles gave her a completely new experience. Compared to the taste, this noodle dish, which Lyon called ramen, attracted Abigail more because of its fun factor.

After they both finished their noodles and soup, Abigail said with a satisfied look on her face, "What interesting food."

"Let's go back quickly after eating. I still need to take a shower and go to bed." After entertaining Abigail, Leon impatiently urged Abigail to leave. After all, a man and a woman were alone in a room at night. He was afraid that he would become a beast, and even more afraid that he would be worse than a beast.

“How can you go to bed so early?” Abigail didn’t care. Instead, she looked at Leon with disdain and complained: “I’m afraid even Mr. George doesn’t go to bed so early. Are you still a young man?”

"I'm going on a long trip tomorrow. If I don't go to bed early, I won't have enough energy to catch the bus." Lyon explained.

"Going on a long trip? Are you going to the city to play?" Abigail asked curiously.

"I guess so. I will go to Zuzu City, but I just need to transfer there to go to Calico Desert. I have something to do there." Lyon did not hide it. After all, it was not something shameful.

"Wouldn't that be a long detour? But this is the only way to get to the Calico Desert now. The bus from the town to the Calico Desert has never been funded for repair. Otherwise, it would only take you more than an hour to get from Stardew Valley to the Calico Desert." Abigail looked at Leon sympathetically and said.

"Yeah, so you go back first. I have to go to bed." Leon waved his hand, trying to send Abigail back.

But Abigail had no intention of leaving. After thinking for a moment, she suddenly said, “Leon, can you drive?”

"Yes." Leon nodded, not understanding why Abigail asked that.

"Okay, then I'll drive that old car over tomorrow and go to the Calico Desert with you, but you have to drive the whole way." Abigail made the decision immediately after hearing this.
