A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 68 Three people traveling together

Chapter 68 Threesome

After checking his backpack to make sure he had the colorful fragments and some extra money, Leon left the farm and headed towards the bus stop.

The Stardew Valley bus stop was located on the dirt road connecting the farm and Pelican Town, so Leon didn't walk far before he saw the fork leading to the bus stop.

There, Leon not only saw Penny, with whom he had an appointment to meet, but also Abigail and her old car. What surprised Leon even more was that Emily was standing next to them.

The three girls also saw Leon, and Abigail proudly shouted to Leon: “How about it, I didn’t expect that I brought Emily with me.”

"What's going on?" Lyon quickly stepped forward and asked.

"I went back last night and discussed this with my parents. They initially refused to let you and I drive to the Calico Desert alone, but when I said I would invite Emily to go with us, they agreed after confirming with Emily." Abigail explained with a smile.

"So, you are her guardian today." Leon didn't look at Abigail anymore, but complained to Emily.

"Haha, guardian is such an exaggeration, but Mr. Pierre did tell me that I would help him keep an eye on Abigail and prevent her from running around." Emily answered with her hand covering her mouth and laughing.

"Leon, your words are so irritating. Emily is a friend who can travel together, okay? What do you mean by guardian?" Abigail complained dissatisfiedly: "She is obviously not much older than me."

"If you are threatened by Abigail, you can just blink and I will rescue you." Leon teased Emily after hearing this.

Emily shook her head. "No, I decided to go when Abigail invited me. I haven't visited Sandy in a long time."

Realizing that he couldn't be a lone wolf this time, Leon turned his attention to Penny, who was quietly watching the three people chatting with her handbag. "Since there are three of us now, Penny, do you want to come too?"

"I have to teach the kids today, so I won't go. Here you go." Penny politely declined Leon's proposal, then handed the handbag in her hand to Leon.

"I didn't know you suddenly changed your plans, so you only prepared food for one person."

"It's okay, they should have had breakfast." Leon took the bag and glanced at the double-layer lunch box inside: "It must have taken a long time to prepare."

"I just made some simple sandwiches that are easy to carry. It didn't take much effort." Penny looked at Leon with a smile: "The food has been delivered. I will go back to town first. I wish you a safe journey."

"Ah."

Watching Penny's back as she left, before Leon could say anything, Abigail complained: "When did you become so close to Penny that she would come over specially to bring you breakfast."

"She helped me a lot yesterday, so I treated her to lunch. During the conversation, we talked about our plan to go to the Calico Desert today. She felt bad that I treated her to lunch, so she prepared this breakfast as a return gift." Leon explained.

"What big favor?" Abigail asked curiously.

"I won't tell you." Leon perfunctorily said to Abigail, then asked Emily: "Do you want to drive or should I?"

"Let me drive when we go, so you can get familiar with the route and road conditions first, and also give you time to have breakfast." Emily replied as she looked at the handbag in Leon's hand.

"Then let's go. The temperature in the desert won't be too high if we leave early, and we'll be more comfortable." Leon nodded, then got into the car consciously and sat in the back seat, the passenger seat, which he intended to leave for Abigail.

But after the three of them got in the car, Leon discovered that except for Emily sitting in the main driver's seat, Abigail did not sit in the passenger seat, but squeezed directly into the back seat of Leon.

"What do you want to do?" Leon asked Abigail speechlessly.

"I didn't have breakfast either." Abigail stared at the double-layer lunch box that Leon had taken out.

Leon ignored Abigail and turned to ask Emily, who had already started the engine and stepped on the accelerator: “Emily, did you eat breakfast?”

"I've eaten. You guys can eat yourselves." Emily drove the car onto the main road with concentration and answered without looking back.

Leon nodded without asking any more questions, and opened the lunch box under Abigail's expectant gaze.

There were four sandwiches in the two-layer lunch box, with bacon and fried eggs sandwiched between the bread, and accompanied by cheese and lettuce leaves. This classic combination reminded Lyon of a hamburger.

Noticing that Abigail had been staring at the lunch box in his hand, Leon sighed, took out one of the meals and handed it to Abigail.

Abigail took the sandwich with a satisfied smile, and then began to taste Penny's cooking. Seeing that Abigail was enjoying the food, Leon felt relieved and picked up one himself and put it in his mouth.

Although the sandwich is simple to make, Penny obviously put a lot of effort into it. The bacon is fried perfectly, and the fried egg is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Wrapped with rich cheese, every bite can bring great satisfaction. At the same time, the combination of lettuce leaves can also relieve greasiness.

One portion was not enough to fill his stomach, so Leon took a second one. But just after taking a bite, he noticed Abigail licking her lips and looking at him pitifully. The portion he had given her before had already been eaten by her.

Lyon pretended not to see it, and after slowly finishing his second sandwich, he planned to close the lunch box.

But Abigail's eager eyes made Leon feel uncomfortable, and he finally compromised and gave the last piece to Abigail.

Looking at Abigail eating the sandwich happily, Leon shook his head and turned to chat with Emily who was driving.

"Emily, how did you meet that friend named Sandy you mentioned?"

"I met Sandy during a trip to the Calico Desert when the buses to that place were still running. We are old friends," Emily replied.

"Sandy is a very nice person and she particularly loves Stardew Valley. However, because she needs to take care of the store, she rarely comes to visit Stardew Valley in person. If you want to have a good relationship with her, some wild plants that represent Stardew Valley's specialties would make her very happy."

At this point, Emily specifically reminded Leon: "Leon, it's best if you can become friends with Sandy. That way, you can buy some seeds that are not available in Stardew Valley from Sandy at a low price."

"Of course, I like making friends."
