However, the crimson flames did not spread outwards, but instead seemed to be drawn back to Zheng Zha's wound. Zheng Zha's complexion improved slightly, and then another spurt of blood erupted... This cycle repeated itself, which Mu Xiang also noticed.

Although Zheng Zha was unconscious, his body was actively forcing out the bloodline energy that it could not absorb immediately, and then starting to absorb it again from the beginning!
