Infinite Terror: Infinite Reversal

Chapter 462 Shaping and Distortion

Chapter 462 Shaping and Distortion
For reasons unknown, Nordens did not directly connect to the Plane Spirit. Perhaps he was too confident in his own abilities, or perhaps he had some other motive.

But Mu Xiang was naturally not afraid. If Nordens reached the Spiritual Rank level, he would directly activate the Candle-Holding skill... Before Zheng Zha and Zhang Jie finished, Mu Xiang would definitely not give Nordens any chance.

Mu Xiang swayed slightly, and Nordens snorted coldly, his trident trembling violently.

“It’s very fast; even a demigod probably couldn’t react in time… but it’s still not enough for me,” Nordens said.

Mu Xiang didn't seem to have moved at all. He smiled and squeezed his blade, while Ji Yue was trembling: "Is that so? As expected, your level is higher than your displayed combat power. Although your speed is far inferior to mine, you can still react."

Just now, Mu Xiang lunged forward and stabbed Nordens. In Mu Xiang's spatial-temporal vision, there was a branch of the attack that severely injured Nordens... If that's the case, then it means it's possible.

Although Nordens spoke with confidence, Mu Xiang knew it was an exaggeration. Clearly, Nordens wasn't entirely confident in dealing with Mu Xiang's speed; the fact that he couldn't launch a counterattack while defending in this exchange already spoke volumes.

"Hurry up and use the power of the plane's spirit to ascend to the spirit position," Mu Xiang said. "Otherwise, it will be too boring."

The next moment, Mu Xiang's body disappeared from the spot.

Nordens let out a low shout, and the already pent-up surging waves surged upwards, both protecting and blocking. The trident swung upwards, piercing out countless points of cold light. The sound of the ocean waves roared amidst these countless thrusts, and every now and then, azure light would burst forth from within, like a lurking dragon in the boundless waves, its sharpness flashing and tearing through space.

Mu Xiang's body was no longer visible; only the moonlight erupted above the endless tide. The clear moonlight shone down, yet collided with the tide, creating layers of explosions and metallic clangs. The dazzling azure light and moonlight splashed together, causing the air to tear apart.

The moonlight suddenly stopped, and then Mu Xiang slashed down with his sword, stopping Nordens's poised attack halfway through. The fierce force sent Mu Xiang flying upwards, while Nordens's legs sank directly into the ground.

However, Mu Xiang wasn't the one who suffered a loss. He used the momentum to his advantage, channeling all his energy into his blade, and then slashed down furiously at Nordens. The sharpness of this strike obscured everything that followed; the dreamlike abyss above and the boundless sea beyond it all paled in comparison to the surging moonlight.

The dazzling golden ripples surged like thunder, and the blurred, boundless sword energy poured down like a torrential rain. And right in the center of all this was an unavoidable slash!

Nordens took a deep breath, his expression turning serious.

At that moment, the ceaseless roar of the tide stopped... but it didn't disappear; rather, it stretched out monotonously. The previously scattered sound of the waves suddenly became mournful, like a long howl from the sea.

Nordens' figure vanished into the azure light, from which emerged a colossal, terrifyingly imposing halberd. The azure light shield blocking his path shattered in the moonlight, but it had at least bought him a fraction of a second.

The azure halberd extended three prongs, then its aura vanished abruptly, as if it were merely a phantom. However, those with sufficient perception would discover that the aura had not disappeared, but rather had been condensed to its extreme into the three points of sharpness!
The moon sets and the tide rises.

But there was no earth-shattering collision as Nordens and Zheng Zha had expected, which surprised Zhang Jie, who had used his telekinetic powers to create a barrier.

The originally raging moonlight crumbled at the touch of the sea-blue halberd. The golden lightning in the sky shattered, the boundless sword energy dissipated, and the surging moonlight was thrown upwards, revealing its true form while still in the air. The long sword was trembling violently!
Nordens was also taken aback, realizing something was wrong. The distant dimensional spirit suddenly burst forth with a dreamlike light, causing Zhang Jie's telekinetic blockade to tremble.

However, it was too late. A golden figure appeared behind Nordens and then punched him in the back.

This punch didn't have any terrifying power; in fact, the golden figure even lost its golden light afterward. The surging Kryptonian energy, however, erupted within Nordens's body following this punch!
Nordens' body shot forward, his blood gushing out and splattering all over his body. Blinding golden light coursed through Nordens' body, as if countless bombs were exploding inside him.

The gray robe that symbolized Nordens' identity was also torn to shreds, and when Nordens landed, his upper body was already exposed. "I'll give you a chance to change your clothes, otherwise it'll be disgusting to look at." Mu Xiang smiled meanly, and with a wave of his hand, the falling Jiyue was in his hand.

Nordens turned around, spitting out a mouthful of blood—golden blood, clearly Mu Xiang's energy. The old man coldly sneered, "Enough with the talk... Do you really think that by pushing me away, I can't contact the spirits of the plane?"

Zhang Jie shrugged: "Really? Distance doesn't matter, but you still have to use your mind and will, right?" As he spoke, the telekinetic power that had sealed the spirit of the plane rippled slightly, with a rather provocative tone.

Zheng Zha's gaze was fixed on Nordens, and the greatsword on his back turned its sharpness according to his will, as if he would directly use the Samadhi Yin Yang Sword to strike if Nordens made any unusual move.

"Heh...you humans have always been so arrogant." Nordens laughed loudly. "Originally, you lived like ants, but once you grasped the power to become gods, you thought you could handle everything...hahaha, how arrogant! Even if you are spirits, you are still just ants to the abyss!"

Mu Xiang lunged forward with a slash, but Nordens neither dodged nor evaded, taking the blow head-on. He looked at the gruesome knife wound on his chest and a sinister smile appeared on his face: "When you entered the Dream Realm, you still had physical bodies, didn't you?"

“A fourth-order spirit and body are one, so naturally they cannot be separated by that kind of method,” Mu Xiang said calmly. “You’re not trying to say that it’s a body constructed by the Dream Realm, are you? If you could really do that, you would have already taken us down. Why bother with all this trouble?”

Nordens shook his head: "These thoughts have nothing to do with whether or not they can be done. Even if I could directly sacrifice you, I would still ask you for help."

"Oh?"

Mu Xiang's mind raced. This sentence, combined with other information he had gleaned from his spatial-temporal vision, led him to a definitive conclusion... Nordens did indeed need their help, but not to help him defeat the Abyss. To be precise, it was to help him stage a drama of defeating the Abyss.

This must be related to the plane itself.

"You two are indeed genuine fourth-tier beings, unable to have your physical bodies removed... but what about this one? His essence isn't fourth-tier." Nordens grinned maliciously. "His physical body was sculpted by the Dream Realm, and you're actually comfortable with that?"

With a snap of his fingers, Zhang Jie couldn't even utter a muffled groan before his psychic powers shattered. His physical body, as if a bomb had been planted, instantly crumbled. Just as the flesh and bone fragments disintegrated, they came back to life, transforming into countless interconnected worms and tentacles.

Mu Xiang pushed up his glasses: "Of course I'm worried."

The next moment, the Samadhi Yin-Yang Sword erupted, and Zheng Zha roared. The giant sword veered off course, not toward Nordens, nor toward the mutated Zhang Jie, but toward the Spirit of the Plane.

The dimensional spirit vanished before the inverted Yin-Yang Sword, disappearing as if it were a phantom. Nordens scoffed, "Did you really think I'd expose my vitals?" Yet, a dreamlike light emanated from him, and his aura continued to rise.

The waves surged around him, and the whole world seemed to fall toward him, into the endless abyss of the sea.

Ocean King, God of Hunting, Lord of the Great Abyss!
Zheng Zha remained unmoved, instead smiling as the Samadhi Yin-Yang Sword pierced through the ground, revealing a dark abyss.

Then, they all fell in at the same time.
