Chapter 111 The Mischievous Fox Xiao Changgong Teases the Taoist She Lizi
"Wait, where's Master Ping'an?" Yang Shouren realized after leaving the bamboo forest that he had been so focused on running that he had forgotten to bring Ping'an with him.

He glanced back at the bamboo grove, feeling a little scared, but he immediately put it out of his mind and ran back.

When he passed through the bamboo forest and arrived at the graveyard, he did not find Ping An. He frowned and looked around, when suddenly he heard a sound of cursing and hitting. He thought to himself, "Oh no!" and quickly ran in the direction of the sound.

When he arrived, he saw a man also dressed in a Taoist robe with his hand on Ping An's shoulder among several graves. A fireball hovered beside them.

Illuminated by the fireball, their gazes were fixed on a person covered by a sack on the ground. "Old fox, stop playing dead. If you don't get up, I'm going to slap you to death."

Yang Shouren's gaze followed the words of the Taoist priest beside Ping An and turned to the ground, where he saw the man sit up under the frame of the sack.

"She Li, how could you be so cruel?" Xiao Changgong sat up, picking up a sack as he tearfully accused She Li, "I helped you devise a plan to capture that snake demon that killed countless people, and I even risked my life to save you from its jaws, and this is how you treat me."

"I'm innocent! Heavens above, Earth below, Laozi, the Three Pure Ones, and the Boundless Heavenly Venerable! This little fox is so wronged! I beg you to punish this traitorous disciple of the Taoist sect and restore my innocence!"

After taking the sack off, Xiao Changgong sat on the ground and cried and made a scene, tears streaming down his face and his mournful cries never ceasing.

Seeing this, Ping An, unaware of the situation, looked sadly at Xiao Chang Gong sitting on the ground, then looked up at She Li, who was a little taller than him, and asked, "Senior brother, what did you do to him? He didn't do anything wrong, why are you hitting him like this?"

Upon seeing this, Xiao Changgong quickly retreated until he bumped into Yang Shouren before he stopped.

He turned around and saw Yang Shouren looking at them with a bewildered expression.

Seeing Yang Shouren was like seeing a lifeline. Xiao Changgong grabbed him and pulled him in front of him, hiding behind him. He arrogantly shouted at She Li, "She Li, let me tell you, it's fine if you Taoists hit me, but this is a human being in front of me. Your ancestor didn't say that you can hit people. After regaining his senses, Yang Shouren felt bewildered. How had he become a shield? And what did he mean by what he just said? Was the person in front of him a human being, meaning the person behind him wasn't human?
